54 going to 84.

Woke up freezing with the windows open. Now a bobwhite is nearby loudly proclaiming his name.

Don, that ceiling looks perfect. A little sealer and you're ready to hit the woodshop or pool or seat time. Hey, I bought that same flip-top step stool about a year ago and love it...I was using it this week working on my porch, and started thinking about which are my most useful "tools"...it was on the list.

Ron and Rick, great flag presentations.

BEF, hope that trailer wasn't moving...didn't look like anything to grab onto if the driver jerked forward too fast...but looked like fun.

Rich, that guy looks like he knows what he is doing on that bike.

Had a nice hike in the battlefield park yesterday with Coco. Got down to the river, but it was too high and fast to play fetch so we had to throw the stick on dry land. Had a nice chat with another hiker who volunteers for the National Park Service and a different battlefield in the county...Totopotomoy Creek.
Yes, trailer was moving. I had a chair behind me. Probably moving slower than when we stack hay on a moving wagon. This was nothing compared to that. My son took that pic, right before i pelted him with candy.

57° and we have a fan running in an open window, because dad has the heat cranked up downstairs.

Good Saturday Morning. It's 75°F this morning. Forecast says 92°F this afternoon.

Lots of deer and turkeys walking around the yard this morning. I was watching two yearling does "resting" in the backyard when the sprinklers turned on for that zone. I swear they both jumped 6 ft in the air.

More mowing today. ZT till it gets hot, the A/C tractor this afternoon.

Drew ... good luck with your harvest today.

Randy ... hope you've now made it home.

Farmer .... glad you checked in.

Hope everyone has an excellent Saturday.

Prayers to all.

58 outside this AM. Don't know what the weather is doing.....LOL.

Nice action shots, Rick.

Where does it happen in one's life where you change that "fear nothing" attitude to "I better think about that.." LOL.

I am slowing cross into the latter, well except for the thinking.... I get hung up after the "I better..." part.

Not much on the activity sheet today, still looking at a mulch pile from my big tree take-out, gulleys and fence lines need the weed-whacker, pool needs some company.

At least the grass is cut.
Have a great weekend all. Happy Fathers Day. Be safe.

Good morning! 70s to 90s day with lots of sunshine.

I still have not decided what to put on the ceiling wood. Thanks for the suggestions I'll check them all out. Water condensates on this ceiling when it is foggy outside, that is why there was mold. Since this is not exposed to UV I need something that I can wash every few years and re-surface every 10 years.

The builder must have put on one light coat because it is wearing out in places and looks splotchy.

But this Morning I need to head to the Gardens, someone needs a tractor operator for mulch work.

Good Morning!!!! A delightful 60F @ 6:15AM. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 91F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Took me a while, WNG, but at a pretty young age I figured out that actions have consequences, and it's usually better to look before you leap. But it wasn't until after college, when I read an article in Cycle magazine about Kenny Roberts, a World Champion road racer. His secret to success was to visualize each portion of a race track, thinking through all the different scenarios that could present themselves, and plan beforehand what he would do when presented with any one of them. That article made me realize that visualization and planning didn't just work on a race track, but in almost anything in life, and I've been doing it ever since.

Top, hope the jail break went smoothly and you're home comfortably resting. There's no place like home...:cloud9:

Don, that ceiling looks to me like it got a coat of stain and nothing else. Hard to tell what kind of stain, but if it's oil base, it's best to stick with oil base going forward. If there's a piece of trim around the edge you can remove and take with you to the paint store, they might be able to help figure out the beat way to proceed.

Put out 75 gallons of glyphosate yesterday morning, the first six of which were laced with Triclopyr that I used to spot spray poison oak and sage and rosemary roots that are still in the beds I ripped out earlier in the week. The rest was straight glyphosate to kill the weeds and grasses that still haven't dried out on the hillsides around the house. I wore a charcoal canister respirator for the first time, just in case all the hoopla about glyphosate turns out to be real instead of more lawyers trying to get their mits into deep pockets. Finished by noon, took a shower, had lunch, then took a nice nap. Read up on surge current, inverters, and more solar power components, trying to figure out sizing and quantity of the various components. I trust my sales lady to do her best, but she admits she's new to the job, and I want to make informed decisions.

This morning I'll get a little work done on the new big dirt bike, swapping out the ignition system to see if I can get it running better. Then probably more reading when it gets uncomfortably warm out in the garage.

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend!

Good morning all,

A pleasant 50 this morning with a clear blue sky and no wind. My bride and I just finished our morning walk. Lots of coughing from me, still not 100% yet but getting there.

Looking forward to cutting the hay in two or three more weeks. I think I'll cut/bale the bottom half and have my neighbor cut/bale the top half. It's steep up there and it scares the crap out of me  when I'm sliding to one side of the tractor seat. He has bigger/wider equipment so no problem for him.

Prayers for all, have a nice day.

what a great morning, harvesting at 6am, done by little after 7, clogged the machine up pretty well but it got the job done.
Volunteers just left, I had to come in and sit down before I fell down, what a lot of walking. Will go back out in a little while to clean up the area, trash cans, etc.

Very nice NH T4-75 with a Zaga harvester on it, old as the hills, no idea of where it came from.
Same lady who got bit last year and wound up in ER got bit again, back in ER, she's ok, older lady who always greets me with a smile at the food pantry.
And she comes to my house and twice winds up in the hospital...
I'll take her a nice personalized potato bag next Tuesday.

Need a hot shower and a nap, going since 2am. One more mile to go...

That's a lot of potatoes! Drew, what did she get bit by?

Local airport having a "fly in". Took 2 kids over there to show them a few oldie but goody radial engined planes

Had my coffee. Today is my FIL's birthday. In laws are coming over for birthday/father's day meal. Roast beef with roasted potatoes and carrots. Maybe some green beans too. Oh, and fresh home grown 'maters.
