Good Sunday morning. It's 80°F here, clear, and 81% humidity. Heat index is already 88°F. Forecast is 91°F and 30-40% chance of some rain this afternoon.

I got the roads all mowed yesterday and got a start on our "lawn" late afternoon. Maybe ... finish today .... maybe not?

Randy .... good to hear from you .... focus on getting better... job #1.

WNG ...... even if you remove the bear "bait" it may still take time for your bears to change their routine. It might take some "negative feedback" for them. We don't have bears but, we do have coyotes. They've keep their distance since we brought two donkeys over from the Fayette County Ranch. Donkeys give coyotes really "negative feedback".

Jay and David ..... Safe travels!

Kyle ... I asked my 16 YO grand daughter if she'd like to learn the ZT? Got the eye roll.

Everyone please have an excellent day.

Prayers to all.

The low this morning was 31° with some frost. Yesterday was in the mid 40's with rain and snow showers most of the day. Looks like today will be in the low 60's and partly cloudy with 15-25 mph wind. The forecast shows 80's by the middle of the week. That would be the first time this year.

Helped a couple of neighbors yesterday. One of them need help loading a stackable washer and dryer he was going to give away. The other one needed help loading some goats that they sold. That made the day more interesting then just setting around and watching it snow.

Today I'll get started on a couple of my own projects.

Hope everyone that is feeling bad gets better soon.
CWB.

What height are you mowing the grass Rick

My 84" RFM is set to it highest cut possible so, probably about 5" I'd guess. I use the Kubota ZT, for about 2 acres right around the house, set to about 3". Sometimes, it takes two passes, to make the Bahia grass look nice.

Good morning to all! Low of 40, up to 78, sunny, low humidity (maybe 35%), no smoke. The wind changed direction, now coming from the NW. Was really gusty starting around 9pm last night until around 4am. Absolutely beautiful outside right now!

Going to take advantage of the nice weather and try to get some yard maintanance done today. If I can get motivated....the chicken smoked yesterday was just too good.... I'm still stuffed.....

Today I will have another treat.... I couldn't resist purchasing some "Taylor Pork Roll" last week. Arrived from across the country in 2 days, still cold. The last time I 've had some was 28 years ago.... I hope it's still as good as I remember! (Not healthy good...just tasting good). There is definitely nothing quite like it.

Everyone have a great Sunday! Prayers sent for those healing or just needing.

Ted, as you swirl those delicious nitrates over your tongue and your mouth comes alive, you will smile a big smile.
And your body will whine yo, how about Don's healthy menu?
and another crispy crunchy bite of pork roll. In moderation, simply wonderful.
Maybe eat a grapefruit afterwards...;)

back out to turn off the sprinkler, that finishes the garden. Done for the day, picked another 20 pounds of cukes, and have all the potatoes
bagged. Even nibbled on my first peach. Small but tasted just like a sweet peach. Took four years but finally beginning, despite peaches being size
of a golf ball.

71°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 77° today. Rain is just starting to roll into the area, and it's going to keep rolling through all day today and into tomorrow.

Was going to take the zero-turn into the shop yesterday in between rains, and only managed to get the trailer on the F-150 and get it stuck in the old garden area. (Said a few unpleasant words, I'm afraid.) I walked it before trying, and it seemed firm enough. Apparently not. Decided to leave it sit where it is, as we're supposed to have a nice, sunny week after Monday. Hoping by Wednesday I can get the mower loaded and out of there.

Need an oil change on the Kia Soul. May do that today.

Great to hear from Randy.

Youse guys with respiratory issues take care.

The sport of kings. I grew up just a few miles from Fairmount Park horse racing track, but never went there until a band I joined in the early 2000s played there regularly on Thursday and Friday evenings, sponsored by Budweiser and called Party At The Park. It was one of those gigs that I most looked forward to every year. We'd play several times a year during the racing season, and always to somewhere in the 1000-1500 people range in the room where we played. It was a lot of fun. Large buffet, Budweiser girls bartending, live music, and horse racing. Their slogan there was "Every 19 minutes the place goes crazy," which we co-opted into "Every 19 minutes the band stops playing."

Your friends sound a lot like mine, Iain ... except it's music gear and guns here.

lots of good news this morning, folks feeling better.:thumbsup:

Wingsprd, those bears would scare me for sure. Nice bear, shoo!
would more outside lights help or just get them to your bird feeders faster?
Problem is now they have learned there is food there...

Nice weather today, 66 going to 88. From Monday on the whole week is hotter, in the mid 90's.

Have about thirty pounds of picked tomatoes to sort through in the kitchen. Might do some lawn mowing this afternoon but got most of it done yesterday,
which is my neck hurts now, too hot to wear soft collar while mowing.

I need to find a new friend with a swimming pool...

Drew,

It will be more than just a few miles up 95, but you are certainly welcome here to share the pool. Yesterday it was a “perfect” 82F ... I would love to be able to talk vegetable gardening with someone of your experience.

Frank
