Good morning!!!!

Good morning to all! Low of 53, going up to 88 today. Slight chance of a pop-up storm. We need some rain, all the nice grass / green stuf that we had this spring is now turning brown. Only some tough weeds are growing.

Randy, CONGRATULATIONS ! Prayers sent for your continued improvement. Get well! Stuff is waiting...

BEF, prayers also sent for your healing/ improvement now that they hopefully know what's going on! Get well soon!

Thomas, CONGRATULATIONS to you also! Wow, 45 years....you don't hear that too often any more. Are you making plans?

David, nice to see you getting seat time on that big blue! Do you like it better than your other tractors or just ehhh?

Jay, glad to hear that your out and about doing the yard work without any body parts screaming at you!

Drew, good luck in your search for an RV. We have thought numerous times about getting a class A or B, but decided to just stick with a travel trailer... Far less maintenance, far less cost.

Everyone have a great weekend! Prayers sent for all.

Ron, thanks, will check that one out. I need small, diesel, comfortable, good mileage.
Do not want Ford F truck chassis, too rough riding despite add on's. Been there, done that.
Want to be able to park in a restaurant parking lot or shopping center without walking a mile to park.
Not going to tow a car so needs to be small. 25ft max. Say 5 feet longer than a Suburban...
If I go with a slide, it cannot be made by Lippert. That's who made my last slide that broke and who also made
the autoleveling system that broke, ruining my trip. Not a penny more goes to those folks...
So far, HWH seems to be most reliable.

Ate some yummy orange watermelon this morning, salvaging one that had cracked from too much rain at one time.
Time to spray everything again, but hard to figure out when if it showers every afternoon.

lined up a GMO perfect tomato with an equally nice heritage tomato.
GMO tomato feels just like ones in store, almost waxy finish, and
will sit there for five days and be fine. Heritage tomato
will start to rot in two days.

Wifey made me wonderful coffee this morning. I told her about wng roasting almost 40lbs and she said "Oh wow". hopefully that will last him a week or 2. :)

Sitting here, enjoying the calm..... collecting thoughts about what maybe to do today.

Just thought about repairing a Z spring on my couch, but living in a small town, I can't just go and buy one. Will have to find an upholstery shop or something.

Took the kids to the public library yesterday to get some books. My son got 2, and has already read them. Going back today for more.

I forgot about the watch I received when I retired after 35 years with same company. I have never worn it.

Nice watch Ron. Probably not too many companies that give them out anymore. I don't know of any. Many companies don't survive for 35 years.

BEF, glad to hear the spinal tap wasn't too bad. Prayers for your treatment.

78 this morning and headed to 91. Back home in Kentucky.

Nice drive yesterday but it took us longer to get home then it did to get to Gulf Shores. By over an hour. Traffic was horrible. We figure we lost close to 3 hours in traffic. Kids did surprisingly well.

Toppop good to hear from you. Continue to get better.

Buckeye glad they finished diagnostic test. GBS is treatable. Wife’s sister-in-law has it. Her’s was brought on by stress and fatigue. But she’s made a full recovery and not had it come back in over 5 years.

Thomas congratulations on the retirement. Enjoy it.

Good Morning!!!! 79F @ 8:30AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 101F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

That watch looks beautiful, Ron, a lot more useful than the "stainless" steel utensil set I selected for my retirement gift. It rusted first time I ran it through the dishwasher, so I sent it back to the manufacturer. They replaced it, I sold the replacement on ebay, and got a nicer set (for more money, of course).

Nice job de-fanging that tree, Rick. I've fought the same battle every year with ones that look just like it. Good upper body workout, but kinda tough on the neck and shoulders.

Drew, my friend's widow was looking for a small motorhome after his passing, and ended up with a Ford Transit conversion by Sportmobile in Fresno, CA. She loves the way she can park it in a regular space, it drives nice, and best of all, it's RED, just like the much larger Sprinter it replaced. She also uses it to transport all her lavender based goodies to the Farmer's Market every weekend, and loves sitting out under the side mounted awning in the shade with her Market buddies/girlfriends. There's be plenty of room inside one for all your okra, beans, tomatoes, and other fruits and veggies...

My parents fed me books as fast as I could read 'em when I was in grade school, Kyle. And look how I turned out!:cool::confused2:

Got an emailed quote from the JD dealer late last night, and haven't worked up the nerve to look at it yet. I've read several threads here on TBN that it should be somewhere between 10-15% below the Build Your Own quote from the JD web site, and this salesman has cautioned me repeatedly that it will be considerably higher... He may be in for a rude awakening when I tell him I've decided to purchase elsewhere, but only after the test drive now set up for Monday.

Finished laying the PVC tubing for the whole house sprinkler on the front of the house yesterday, and now that the glue has had a chance to dry, I'll run out a length of the 1/2" drip line and see what kind of pattern the spray nozzles produce. If it's 10' as advertised, I'll start stringing the tube up to the gutters and fanning out from there...

Also finished the installation of the new ignition system yesterday, and have a stronger spark as a result. That didn't fix the problem of not making it past 3000 RPM, though, and I noticed that the tach isn't working, either. I suspect there's still an electrical problem, most likely in the old rally computer someone wired in, so I'll get a start on replacing it with a more modern instrument today if it doesn't get too hot in the garage.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Good morning everyone nice sunny day heading to upper 80's to lower 90's.
House warming at my daughter's new house today so that's what I'll be doing this afternoon, her first big party.
Just heard from my neighbor who was going to take my wife's dog when we head out to Alaska and now she can't do it. Now have 2 weeks to find a dog sitter wife is going to be not happy doesn't want to kennel him. My son and daughter are carrying for our German Shepherds and houses out of family options.
BEF good to hear that you now know what is going on with you, I had 2 Friends that had GB both full recovery, one is a firefighter and was climbing ladders in short time. Good luck with your rehab
Randy good to hear from you, continued prayers for your improvement and happy marriage.
Thomas congratulations on your retirement, it's been 2 years for me and I still have days I wonder why I retired, my dogs are still on my work schedule wake me every morning at 5.
Don good luck with your fight for mom unfortunately the pipeline has the upper hand. "For the Greater good" they say.
Everyone have a great day with what ever your plans are and stay safe.

Good afternoon! cloudy 90˚

Had about an hour of seat time in the garden this morning and helped a neighbor gardner put his garden to sleep while he goes on vacation. In return I harvested 50 tomatillos from the two tomatillo plants he was discarding. His tomatillo plants were still going strong with hundreds of blooms and 5' wide by 5' tall. Next year I'm getting one of those. Time to make the tomatillo sauce, just finished making 6 jars of pickles.
