A lonely fox just outside the open bedroom slider started barking for company at about 2:30 this morning. Oh well, I had to pee anyway.:confused3:
Hopefully your kindness will payoff in a smile and some lifted spirits for Randy, Drew. Thanks for including us all, a beer and an electrical hookup are waiting for you if your new motorhome ever makes it out this far. Hopefully your journey won't last ten years as did Eric's Seep driver!:confused2:
Sounds like you'll have lumber and firewood galore by this winter, Farmer. Hope it continues to go smoothly for you and your operator.
Spent yesterday in zombie land; that antihistamine really wiped me out. Still managed to finish the paint on the last eve, putting that project to bed. Then just puttered around the garage cleaning and putting tools away, making one small adjustment to the motorcycle, and washing out the bearings on the Vanagon jack shafts one last time. Gonna see if I can get them installed again in the next day or so to get that bench space back.
A few weeks ago the UPS web site stopped working for package tracking, so when I got an email alerting me to the arrival of a shipment requiring a signature, I had to call when it didn't arrive. Ended up with an Engilish as a second language person on the other end, who was very hard to understand and who didn't seem to understand my questions. That person told me the package would arrive yesterday, so the gate was open all day. Around 4PM a knock on the door announced the arrival of not the UPS man, but another trucker that had a box with Tim Smith's whiskeys inside. It too required a signature, but the company hadn't bothered to send me notice to have the gate open. Happy coincidence it was, as the driver had come all the way from Sacramento, two hours south, to make the delivery. The booze was very good, too, a rye, a whiskey, and a Bourbon. It had to be aged using the electrical process because he's only been making it a year. But you'd never know it from the flavor and smoothness. A new email from UPS arrived last night saying delivery of the other package had been rescheduled for next Thursday, so I'll have to call the shipper and ask for it to be held in Chico, where it is now, for me to pick up while I'm in town that day.
Hope everyone's weekend gets off to a great start!
