Good Morning!!!! 67F @ 6:00AM. Abundant sunshine. High 91F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
Was about to get out on the motorcycle yesterday morning when a text arrived from the neighbor that he'd decided not to work that day and would like instead to go see the airplanes. The first B17 flight had already left, and by the time we got there, the other had booked up. So no ride, but we did get to crawl all through it, and the B25, too. Apparently it's a tradition for crew members to sign the inside of the bombay doors, and many did just that, adding details of when and where they served. Most had not served on those airplanes, and by the shaky writing on some of them, were quite old when they put hand to metal. One signature referred to the Doolittle raid on Tokyo, yet another amazing accomplishment of the Greatest Generation. I'll post some photos later, and maybe a video of the planes landing/taking off. They made great noise, too!
Noticed a spot on the floor under the red bike, apparently coming from the right fork tube. Tightened the drain plug, cleaned up the mess, and I'll see this morning if that was enough to stop it. Also noticed a crunching sound coming from the handlebars, and that turned out to be a loose clamp on the cross bar. Never thought a pair of handlebars would flex that much, but those Renthals do, which is why the aftermarket stiffener was put on there by the previous owner...
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!
