Good morning!!!!

I don’t know how many of you are driving cars with this new fangled TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), but with the sudden drop in temperature around here this morng (31 degrees) those blasted lights were on in my instrument panel this morning.

Now being inherently lazy, when that happens, and it does when we have a cold spell every Fall, I usually stop by Bill Utter Ford and let them check all the tires and air them up a bit. Of course Discount Tire will check your tire pressure for free also. HOWEVER, this morning, there was a long line of vehicles waiting to get into the shop at Bill Utter Ford AND there was a long line of vehicles getting their tires checked at Discount Tire, too.

I reckon there must be lots of people with tire pressure monitoring systems. So I strung out my air hoses and did mine myself. 35 psi is the correct pressure for my tires and they were all at 29 to 30.

Mine were ok this morning. But we only had two 90° days all year.

I guess we all have that issue on the first few cold mornings. It’s only been down to 40 here, usually won’t see it until around freezing.

It was a good game.

Thomas, I went to church once just across the line from you in white river. Was on our way home from white mts.

I mentioned going out, since our PA trip for Amish food didn’t happen, but wife had already started something.

Decided to mow back yard and just kept going and did most of the field also. IMG_1850.JPG

Did not do back hillside.

Then got chop saw out and cut angle iron for barn door.

Then I was done physically.

Back from funeral. At least 2x as many people outside the church as inside. A real bugler, not the recorded Taps.

worked hard all day long, shower sure felt good, pretty sore and crampy though.
Confederate Rose, a type of hibiscus, has started to bloom. Very pretty, returning Confederate soldiers in the area were
given these flowers by townspeople.
Javier and I worked hard on trimming shrubs and trees, filled up the little Massey four times. No wonder I'm tired.

The last task of the day was actually the hardest. We pulled out all the junk out of the third barn stall, it was the end of the line junk room, stuff
never touched since I moved there. A lot of junk, some treasures, but I was hard nosed, when in doubt, out it went. We filled the entire bed of the Ram with junk and it will go to dump tomorrow afternoon. What a miserable job that was, dusty and moldy stuff but only five years late, glad I got it done.

now enjoying a last cup of coffee and if I wake up enough, might try to sleep in rv.

I am most definitely not a football fan, but today was the annual "shootout" in the Cotton Bowl in the Dallas State Fair grounds between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns. Since I'm a native of Oklahoma, but have lived in Texas most of my life, and there wasn't anything else on the TV of interest, I watched the game. Oklahoma won 34 to 27.

Not too bad getting backhoe attached. I think once I have proper height dolly it will go better. Can’t see doing it without dolly due to height of top link bar.
Taking a break then top off hydraulic fluid and grease everything.

Good evening.

Yesterday, it was 82 for a high. A front came thru, wind, a bit of needed rain, and it was 47 this afternoon, sunny, and windy. Which actually wasn稚 bad as I put a significant dent in the pile of wood that needed split. I ended up with just a T-shirt on once I got into a rhythm.

I like my Speeco splitter, runs off the tractor, no rocket ship, but when everything is situated right and I get my rhythm going with splitting and stacking, I don稚 wait for the splitter. Amazes me how much wood I can split in a session. And it doesn稚 seem like I work that hard either.

I think the cats are waiting for the first fire of the year. They were hanging around the insert this morning. Told them to be patient.

Got several more aged logs that need cut up. Need to do some saw maintenance first. Don稚 want a repeat of the engine kicking back on starting and overextending my wrist. Still is sore.

Everyone that is ailing, hope you are healing and positive thoughts.

Everyone have a good weekend.

Our trails from last winter are finally connected with this low water crossing. This part of the creek usually has 2 feet of water but because of the drought there is no water, a perfect time to construct the crossing. As you can tell it was contracted out to the boys with the big toys.IMG_3294.JPGIMG_3293.JPGIMG_3291.JPG

Nice crossing Don

Backhoe operates very nicely. The ISO pattern differs from my Kioti, so either I relearn or change plumbing, not sure yet. Main difference is dipper direction. Seems more intuitive that pushing valve handle dipper extends away.
Unfortunately I didn’t get any work done. Couldn’t mount either the ripper or 7 inch bucket

IMG_0858.JPGIMG_0857.JPG

Bushing are on inside of mounting plates. Will have to contact dealer for resolution.

This 16 in bucket mounted

Not ready to start projects requiring bigger bucket.

Good evening all. 38F for the start, clear, calm wind. Wind stayed light, sky stayed mostly clear. and high temp was 66F. Took wife to town for grocery shopping, quick lunch then bike ride. Caught the end of the Cards loss :(
Buckeye sorry to hear about your son. may need to take in more electrolytes. I use powered electrolytes and V8 juice, but I sweat a lot.
Eric, money is not necessary, but pics are :dance1:
Roy good luck with the new cell phone, the transition may take a while.
Rick good luck with the night out event,
RNG hop you have a nice ride and the valve clearance does not close down.
David gool luck with backhoe, sorry about your friend.
Bird, 29 psi "trip" doe give you much pressure drop from 35. My pick has a 45 psi max and the same trip pressure.
It also gives a read out on each tire, try to check that 1 a month.
Thomas must have shined up extra nice for the Mrs to take you out.
nice pics Drew, stay warm in RV.
David, somebody needs to read the blueprint!!
prayers for all
