Went and looked at trucks in the rain had a ball

Happy Belated Birthday! Don't be so sly. :)

Are you getting a new truck for your birthday??? Keep us posted.

Welcome Ian.

Drew, sorry for your woes. I would make myself a pre-flight and post-flight checklist. Maybe even a pre-call it a night and wake up checklist....

Tired. Off tomorrow, but will probably crank up the tractor for another 10-15 acres of shredding.

Good evening. Sitting here with a glass of bourbon chilling out. Seems I have been driving 23 of the last 41 hours. Long story....I am tired. Home, Athens OH back to home. Then to Lafayette IN. This morning....Lafayette to Naperville IL then back home. All work related. They are going to do without my services tomorrow.

Everyone have a good evening.

Good evening all. 47F for the start, clear, calm. light wind today, mostly clear sky, high temp 72F. Noisy fan in computer required some diagnostics, will order replacement soon. Did blow the case out, plenty of dust bunnies :( More sand burr removal then bike ride. Nap this afternoon. then townhall meeting at 5 to give survey results followed by fish club meeting at 7PM.
Eric the habitat is for all predators, no grass in our lake, so larger fish eat the small minnow sized fish, as well as birds. Most of the fish eating birds migrate away soon after arrival, so predator fish are bigger concern. The habitat will be finished and placed in the next month, pics coming.
Ron good to hear golf cart back up and running well.
Thomas sound like you are adjusting to retired life well, Boo Boo status?
Happy birthday Buppies! good luck on the 3/4 pickup hunt.
Don, I had 2 divergent diamonds to deal with in STL. Traffic was noticeably better during rush hour.
Drew, have a nice trip, hope you find all the issues and can deal with them easily. Wonder if antenna not hooked back up after radio work?
Ian, welcome:welcome:
Drew, in the dark it is harder to keep track and see what is going on. My poor mailbox has had some unfortunate encounters with truck and boat :ashamed::eek:
prayers for all

Tundra will be spending the weekend at Toyota. Tech was able to see problem 1st thing this morning, then not again. Has decided to check wiring harness etc. but not until next week as he is off starting tomorrow. Dealer asked if ok to keep over the weekend. Can’t say I saw much choice at risk of bringing it home and having to tow back. Safer to leave.

All done with my Boston meetings, time to rest a little-put in two 12 hour days and one 10 hour. (then computer and email work at home)Traffic was brutal all three days. Heading west today. I prefer that greatly, almost no tie ups.
Will be taking the afternoon off.
Hope everyone is healthy and safe.

Rain clouds each night are helping to keep the temperature up, although it is still dipping down towards freezing by early morning. Time to start putting some hay out. I moved two hay racks to new positions yesterday and will let the sheep get at them once the people clearing trees from below the electricity lines have finished today.

Roundabouts with one, or maybe two, lanes of traffic are simple, elegant things that look beautiful too when planted up in the middle with trees or flowers. I'm fortunate that I have to drive for at least half an hour south, or three quarters of an hour north before encountering anything that starts to get unnecessarily complicated - a sure sign that we have too many cars/people and that most traffic planners seem to hate car drivers.

:welcome: Welcome to TBN Ian. How do you like your GC1700 ?

Good morning.

33 and going o a high of 45°F. Wind NNW 15 mph. Light rain and then clearing.

Whenever the rain stops, then I can get more firewood into the basement.

most traffic planners seem to hate car drivers.

They hate truck drivers worse.

Have a good day all

38 going to 63 and sunny.

Hello, Ian!

Hope your birthday was great, Buppies.! I bet you didn't have chili birthday cake, though. Truck huntin' is fun. Maybe bag a big Ford.

Hope you get some rest today, Rich.

Sorry to hear about your Tundra, Sadamo David. I bought mine partially for its hopefully good reliability. I've owned various Toyota trucks, vans and SUVs with a combined 1.3+ million miles and swear by them. Good luck with yours.

I made up for letting my equipment sleep through the long drought...yesterday got 7 hours seat time: 4 on the Zero turn and 3 on the tractor. Mowed everything, and tilled and planted two more food plots with cold weather plants. Was very windy, so had to dodge blowing grass. I'm still seeing the covey of quail around, and the chicks are nearly full size.

traffic planners seem to hate car drivers

I've often said, in this area, especially the north side of the DFW Airport that I suspect the traffic planners designed these roads, then sat back and giggled saying "wait until the drivers try to figure this one out." I think they have contests to see which of them can design the most confusing roads.

49 degrees this morning, going for 76 and still dry. Sure could use some rain.
