Bird- I hope you have an uneventful drive to the airport tomorrow morning and your SIL has a safe return flight home. The Rosas Cafe menu look like good eats for really reasonable prices. It's too bad they are so far away. There is a lot of moisture available across most of the CONUS excepting our Pacific Coast states and friends.

During one of our many trips to Killeen / Ft. Hood to either deliver or pick up the oldest stepson's Mustang, The Wife and I stopped at the Rosa's Cafe there along the highway before leaving town to head back to Illinois. Pretty decent food, as I recall.

Had Dr visit this morning. Basically him asking me how I’m doing and if I think I’m improving. See him again in 6 wks. We talked about return to work. He thought longer, I said probably sooner.

Then some banking. First time my wife had been in one of our credit unions in almost 20 yrs. I had to help her with the machine, you don’t walk up to people. Then a person did help her get a new debit card. She was able to get it on the spot, no wait.

Then to Mexican grill place for lunch. Similar to chipotle but better.

Then went to the office and visited with boss and coworkers. That was nice to see everyone. Boss is going to try to find some work I can do from home when I’m able to. My wife got to meet them and visit my office.

Then wife had some errands, so it was almost a full day of running. I’m tired from all that.

. . she looked at the Honda Ridgeline. Likes it.

Surprisingly several good major reviews online, even beating out Ranger, Tacoma, Gladiator in some.

If honest, my bigger truck needs are very few, always made out with our Tacomas or S10. Towing is rated 5k which would be sufficient for my trailer. I don稚 trailer my tractor.

Looking at trim levels, the Honda is about 2/3 price of Tundra in similar trim. Of course would want a new bed cap.

Could be an interesting exercise in aging, should we get a Ridgeline in same colors as Pilot to go to garage and not be sure which vehicle we got in. LOL

Here is an un-bias :D review by Ford motor company comparing the Ridgeline and the Ranger. Tow rating is 7500, millage is 22-26. I liked the Ridgeline's folding rear seat and the hidden space under the bed but the Ridgeline bed was not very deep. I did like all the safety features on the Ranger - they are not offered on the Ridgeline. Ridgeline did have deeper 2019 discounts.

Thanks, Don.
I think Ridgeline lost all the towing comparisons. I dont envision doing that much towing. I know bed isn’t as deep, but again not a real concern. Dogs would want a camper top anyway. Folding seat might be nice.
I’m getting right at 24mpg in the Pilot, figure Ridgeline would be close and significantly better than the Tundra.
I’m pretty much clueless on the safety stuff. It would have more than I have. I did check for moonroof, rear camera, and Carplay .
I’ve only looked at published prices.

Good evening all. 42F for the start, overcast, light wind. Wind stayed light, periods of drizzle to heavy rain, high temp 45F. Cleaning lady prep this morning followed by paper work putter. Renewed drivers license ordered on-line, mine is not expiring but the new one is supposed to RealID complient, and cost me $33 and added no extra years beyond the old expiration date :( Scheduled drop off for Explorer next week, recall on seat recline mechanism. Also ordered the wide a new rug, signed up for carp roundup Monday, and got a call, bike out for welding may be ready for pickup, waiting for extra long seat post.
Hawkeye, sorry you missed your concert. good luck with your job decisions.
Drew it is a shame when you can't plant flowers w/o thinking someone will take them, hope your brownies were a hit.
David how can your generaot be installed correctly if you don't have left over hardware? ;)
Randy good to hear no problems and you are measured up for your new valve.
RNG, hope you can level the container, it looks so new!. Aren't you glad the mangers got you yo retire?:drink:
David good luck with truck shopping.
Thomas never dosed a fire out, Fire dept showed up for our first, did not realize needed permit. They hung around for an hour then said put put at nine and winked. However burn permit were for day time only for burning brush piles. Just have to call it a hotdog roast after dark.
prayers for all.

1.5 inches rain this afternoon. Thunder and lightning too.

Diesel generator mostly back together (left end panel off to access aux fuel pump) and install aux fuel line.

Maneuvered into place, easier than expected, hooked up and functional. Wife was right about relocating for space utilization.

Need to install exhaust stack, but likely need new piping
Still need to rework transfer switch leds and label.

A warm 52 right now...high in the low 60's today.

Well, I've been told the plant power is up and running. We'll have to see if there are any machine problems resulting from the sudden shutdown, so I don't think we'll be making chips today.

56 going to 69 and then rain comes in later.

Jay, those are nice weather maps. Didn't know that much of the country is already facing snowfall.

BEF, sounds like you had a nice day yesterday with your wife. Glad things are improving.

Was gonna do some mower maintenance and string trimming yesterday but went hiking and then hunting instead...had to take advantage of pleasant temps and beautiful colors in the woods.

53 headed to 71, rain moving in tomorrow, then quite cool for time of year with frost predicted Saturday through Monday.

Looks like nobody can win at home, I just saw the score. TV and sponsors are loving it.

Hope everyone has a safe and resourceful day. Prayers to all in need, (hint), that’s everybody.

Good morning! 53 right now. Warm for a late October morning. Rain and cooler for the end of the week and weekend.

I really should get another cup of coffee.....

Rain over the weekend was hard on the leaves around the house, but not in town.

I figured out a way to use drawing tools in Adobe Acrobat to enhance electrical schematics for training and technician use. I have been busy enhancing electrical circuits. Strange thing is....I am learning more doing this. Not a bad thing, makes answering tech calls easier. Though it is appalling how poor most techs are in any type of troubleshooting skills. Most can稚 even give you an accurate description of a problem, let alone connect with software to retrieve fault codes or look at real time data. It is appalling.....no wonder people complain about getting things fixed.

Everyone have a safe and good day.

Good morning, our thermometer is right on zero this morning ( Celcius ). Looks to be the last frosty day for a while.

I had a walk in a place I don't go very often yesterday and found some mushrooms. That's changed my plans for today, I need to get them cut - with a chainsaw.

RNG, have you seen those speed loaders for containers ? Loading SYP Logs - YouTube
Shame you can only burn 18" lengths

Roy, sounds like a lot of work for you today to ensure everything is back up to full spec. I'm intrigued what sort of chips you cook up. Those better at puzzles than me should be able to make a guess, 50 miles from Bethel and with a training connection in Hartford - unless that was a red herring (oh, fish and chips :))
