We got a little of sprinkle of rain so far. Lots more on the way.

It would be great to see you on one of the judge shows, you could win I'm sure and it would be a lot more interesting than the endless dog or rent cases. Just don't get on the one where jerry is judge - can't stand a fake.
Am I the only one in Texas that thinks the call on first base last night was wrong? I am pulling for the Astros but he was right in the middle of the base when he crossed it. Am I missing something?
Trea Turner first base call - YouTube
Since I'm still torn between wanting the Astros or the Nats to win,
and since I don't want the baseball season to end...
how about a tie after 9 innings,
and then about 8,208 extra innings.
That should take us to 2/21/2020 when the Spring Training season games begin.
I didn’t see the game, but based on my 16 years of coaching softball, I would call him out for running inside the base path.

He ran the same line as 100% of right handed batters. He stepped on the bag in the middle, like every other runner does. I don’t see how he could do it any different. It only became an issue because the throw to first was so far off towards home and the first baseman didn’t reach like he should have.
His left foot was on the grass each step.
His left foot was inside the line, you must run in the box or outside the line. If one foot is out, you are out. Just like football, if your toe is out of bounds, you are out of bounds. Bad throw becomes irrelevant if you’re out of the base path. Its a technicality, but it’s the rule.

Oh, Canada.... The Montreal Expos move to Washington, and Presto - 54 years later they win the world series!:cool2:

Roy, sounds like a lot of work for you today to ensure everything is back up to full spec. I'm intrigued what sort of chips you cook up. Those better at puzzles than me should be able to make a guess, 50 miles from Bethel and with a training connection in Hartford - unless that was a red herring (oh, fish and chips)
