Nope, didn't get down on the field...not wet, but wifey wanted me to hang around the house until my stepdaughter got home (early evening). Maybe today....stepdaughter's at work, but should be home noonish or thereabouts
Did pick up an IWB holster (online) from an outfit by name of Vedder's. Kydex, nicely made and retains the gun quite well...LightTuck Kydex IWB Holster | Vedder Holsters.
I've never cared for IWB or Kydex holsters, but as small and light as the CW380, and wearing the right pants (Duluth cargo pants), this seems to work quite well

Need to make a feed run today..all stores are limiting orders. It will mean getting out more for a horse. Do not agree with that but it is what it is.

I took typing for two years in high school,

Many years ago, as a young patrolmen with about 3 years experience, I was happily patrolling my beat one day when the dispatcher told me to call the captain's office. Of course I did that and learned that they'd had two clerk typists in his office; one had been promoted into another city department and the other had resigned. So they had checked personnel records and found that I could type about 40 words a minute, and I was stuck in the office until they could hire new clerk/typists. Now I had taken typing in high school using the old manual typewriters; Underwood, if I remember right. But the captain's office had an antique IBM Selectric and I'd never used one before. And everything had to be typed with 3 or 4 onionskin copies with no corrections. It was not one of my happier months on the job.

My wife renewed her DL online, And she got it in the mail. Her picture is in black and white, not color. She says it looks counterfeit, and it does, but it's not, just new technology.

Good morning, everyone. On my 2nd cup of coffee, the sun is shining in blue skies and the temperature is right around 0°F. Took a chance and removed the snow plow from the ATV yesterday. Still have the blower on the tractor, however, in case we get a late season storm. Meanwhile, time to start shoveling the snow off of the boat house dock, so that I can do some work on it before the lake level comes up. It will rise about 3 feet in the next 2 to 3 weeks, so we only have so much time.


The water will come right to the top of the walkways on either side that you see here. But for now we can get at the superstructure and do any additional reinforcing that we want. Big job!

Fortunately, from here on for the next maybe two weeks or more, the temperatures will be above freezing in the daytime, making the work much easier.

No rest for the wicked!

Spent 45 minutes this morning chatting with widow of good friend, about how she is getting along in Richmond VA. She has stroke paralysis and difficulty
getting around, so we chatted about powerchairs. We also chatted about the humor in our Quaker Meeting in PA setting up Zoom for anyone who wanted to
be part of Meeting. Well....the thing is, most Quaker services are about 90% quiet, folks praying/meditating in silence. No video, just audio,would think some software would time out at some point in the silence... Instead of that I called my friend who really appreciated it

Made some progress cleaning up storage area, 7 garbage bags filled for Goodwill so far of xmas stuff and craft junk including a lot of ugly plastic flowers.
I will be so glad when I'm done cleaning up that room.

A mostly clear and sunny 18ºF for today's low temperature; a sunny 25ºF presently ; and I anticipate a sunny afternoon in the mid to high 30ºF's. A beautiful day to be outside and putter around. There is not a lot of preparation needed for this next pending weather system tomorrow. I've been prepared all Winter for snow. The NWS has issued a Winter Storm Watch for this area. It looks like I will be posting a snow picture or 2. The amount of snow I get will be a factor of "elevation" cold air damming, and wet bulbing; maybe ~6".

31F this morning.. stayed up late last night thinking and discussing retirement income.. will enjoy my nap this afternoon for sure.

Church is streaming only today, they have worked on improving it since last week. Yesterday's prayer service was much improved, see what today brings.

Put the base under the table saw (bought it months ago, just now getting around getting it done). Of course the swivel wheels have swivel issues.. cleaned and oiled a couple of them, will be fine I guess... wish I had paid attention to that when I got them (past the return period now). Wife helped me some, I think we are going to enjoy this retirement gig.

I read that ****** is considering a new approach to CV.. isolate the old and those with preexisting conditions, let the rest of the population get the virus, develop own immunity. They don't think the shelter in place is viable for more than a few weeks/months.
