Busy morning dehydrating last of apples on hand. Chilli in IP. Dishes washed.
Got a check valve for my old hydraulic toplink cylinder. Need to make adapters for 12mm tube to 1/4” npt. Got them started on lathe. Standing for to many hours makes my back ache. Back in house trying to conserve what little energy I have left.

Raining, so indoors rest of day, no seat time, no project work. Just energy conservation.

Got an amazon package caught in USPS **** (the eternal burning afterlife). Out for delivery 3/21. Never delivered. Tracking says address redirect, whatever that means. Nothing updated on amazon or USPS tracking since. Calls to local post office go unanswered.
Finally called Usps tracking phone number. Went thru another automated phone system nightmare, but was able to enter tracking number and schedule delivery tomorrow.

Neighbor is mowing his yard again, maybe I should give mine a go.

So what is the best way to sterilize packages?
1. spray with alcohol
2. spray with clorox solution
3. leave in the sun and rotates so all sides are exposed to sunlight
4. put in oven at 160˚F two hours or 170˚F one hour (paper ignites at 451˚F, plastic melts at 165˚F)
5. expose all sides to UVC light

I'm handling them with work gloves then putting the gloves in the sun for a few days, might set up a clothesline.
I've a few dozen gloves. Mostly SHOWA Atlas 300 Fit Palm Coating Natural Rubber Glove.
Never thought I'd need them for this. Note price hasn't gone up since 2018.
keep cool and spaced out.

Just got an email from a cousin who said he took his wife to the hospital emergency room last night. She's had COPD for many years. But last night they did all kinds of tests, concluded that she has pneumonia, did some kind of breathing treatments, considered keeping for a couple of days, but then sent her home with 4 prescriptions. And he said they wouldn't let him stay with her, and wouldn't let him stay in the waiting room where there might be other people, so he sat in his pickup in the parking lot until 1:30 a.m. Of course she's 69 and he's 78.

Ron, if you have a block of wood or whatever you have laying around that is about 12" tall, put that on the floor and rest one or the other foot on it. What happens is that with one foot up on the block it kinda forces you to stand with your back straight.

Food gathering a bust. Did pickup some meds. No beer either. I really like beer.

So I came home and mowed half the lawn.

Hope all had a good day. 20200330_174048.jpeg

2 nights ago my neighbor's wife had an emergency gall bladder removal operation. They would not let him in the hospital. He slept in the parking lot in his truck.

Grand daughter that turns 6 in a week wanted to play some games.. she has been letting me rest up, but really wanted me to play today. We played kids Monopoly (she almost always wins) and then a game of Parcheese (sp?). She had never played before and we were nice to her, she won that too. Helps pass the time for sure.

I need to execute on a couple of decisions that we made, perhaps tomorrow. A few more big decisions and then hopefully some relaxing retirement. I have a long list of projects around here that we should be able to tackle as we feel able with the changes we made regarding retirement income. We also want to help the middle daughter and SIL on their house build.. they want to get enough done to move in (at least the basement).. they will likely move the travel trailer out to the property in next couple weeks so daughter's commute is shorter..

I want to get the air pump for my septic tank so the waste is better digested and reduce need to have it pumped. I'll put the risers on so it is an easy inspection also.

Stay safe, prayers for all.

Went out and mowed. Some areas really needed it. Was going to just do front, but kept going and did it all except back part of the field. Mowed front of field that can be seen from house.

Sister went and got cv19 test. Then got call BIL was being released. He still doesn’t have his cv19 results, today is 8 days. So he is home, but doing a little better. He had breathing treatments in hospital.

Could not find a Ring camera doorbell mount that looked left and down. Gray 2 was under the radar and so were packages, until now, my stretched out 3 day project of cutting glueing sanding and drilling is finished with the installation of this custom mount.

That’s the back field along the creek. I keep it mowed. IMG_3882.JPG

Deer have a nice path worn across the creek on up the creek.

I accidentally left one feeder out last night with sunflower seeds, and its 5' steel hook was pulled/bent over to the ground and the feeder banged up. Not sure a coon could do it, but haven't gotten any bears on the cams yet this spring.
