Good morning!!!!

uh oh,

The county judge who has been ordering everyone in our county really strict stay at home orders or face a $10K fine or 6 mo, in jail has been caught violating his own order just to see his grandchild.

I took a drive today to pick up groceries for mom but turned around after seeing a very long line outside a HEB and impending rain.

He might have been caught, but was he charged? Will he take the 10 grand or the bucket?

Been having difficulties logging in to TBN. I posted this morning, but apparently it did not go through. I have been having difficulty loading pictures, now in my previous post, it will not load any emojis..... even after trying to edit... mmmm.

Sorry to hear about your FIL, BEF, maybe just a TIA?

Ron, as usual, a beautiful picture!

Rick, yes Harold did order a BH, he is going back down in about a month to have remotes added. Apparently LS shipping / parts orders are getting messed up due to trucking issues associated with the virus shut-downs.

When we moved, I found a few bottles of Carlsburg dark lager in the back of the fridge.... we calculated (guessed) that they were probably about 4 years old.... they DEFINITELY were not meant to be aged....

Got a bunch of stuff done outside, pond is officially filled and running, some small plants planted, holes dug for the shrubs. Tomorrow should get the rest of the shrubs permanently in the ground. I will have to move all the fragile plants / flowers into the garage tomorrow afternoon.... we are now forecasted to get snow Sunday night and Monday morning..... it is all my fault... who would think planting flowers in mid April would cause snow!

Oh, and yes, that was the supervisor s chair (wifey) .... somebody has to keep the worker in line... to easy to get distracted when tractors are involved :D

Here are a few pics of the progress made today....

Fifty years ago today.

On this day 50 years ago, Apollo 13 blasted off on its dramatic, ill-fated mission

On this day 5 years ago, Apollo 13 blasted off on its dramatic, ill-fated mission | Fox News

I remember the tears streaming down my mother's face, as they re-entered and got home safely. It was a big deal.

Just picked up the yard, and moved stuff around in the barn, to park the SUV in the barn too.

My daughter helped me mow today. I've been waiting almost 15 years for a helper. :) She ran the 4310 and I was on the 5420. We got maybe 1/2 of the 25 acres done. The ground is really soft in the bottom land. We mowed until it started raining pretty hard at which time, my son came out and told us lunch was ready. Roast beef, rice, gravy, green beans and oven roasted carrots.

South and Central Texas, has in the last few years, had some type of wild rye grass take over many fields and almost all of the ditches. It grows up and chokes out the wild flowers in many places. At least it doesn't have stickers or thorns and I believe the cows can eat it. It was about 2.5 feet deep and thick in places here. I just slash it down, so that the bermuda can get light.

Rick and Don, I have a bunch of Post oak trees that I need to clear the underbrush. It's amazing what all will grow under those things. Also have probably about 12 that are dead and need to be pushed over. I need the ground to be a bit drier to do it (for traction).

Don, I forgot to tell you last week's storm blew a pole barn into highway 21 in San Antonio Prairie/Deanville.

I'm praying that tonight's storm is calmed down.

Prayers for All! Happy Easter!

Good evening all. 57F for the start, light wind, overcast. Rain started about 12PM .7 inch in rain gauge heavy at times with more on the way. High temp was 66F. Slow putter this morning, cooked lunch, watch recorded news and YouTube and napped.
Cooke County still at 1 , Montague now at 2, Grayson still at 17.
Yesterday's catch up:
RS that is a scary event.
David sounds a lot like my shopping experience.Glad you survived.
Mike still trying to understand how wind gusting to 50 helps weed eating
Rich sorry to hear Internet is not fully functional
Ron, that is long extension, very nice duck pic, if I looked like that I would pose too.
Drew when selling lat house took 2 days to fix everything, guess most errors were typos
PJ Not al info properly vetted as it goes in, so not all changes make sense.
Billy hope you get what you need
RNG good pics, glad tank in place. Sounds like you did not tap generator into propane line before tank was installed.
Hawkeye sorry about the burn ban
Randy, since Circuit City went belly , Best Buy has not ben my favorite company. Experience ranges from mediocre to awful
Ron that is some good image stabilization
Buckeye, had issues with hp printers then got an HP with replaceable ink nozzles, 8 years now, no issues.
Frank that was convenient
Thomas, nice snow pic
Don nice clean up on trees, and nice avoidance of another cleanup :)
Ted, at first I thought your tractor had a baby, supervisor's chair
Today's comments:
David, glad you were able to find phone
Eric does not look like you were quick enough
Thomas Mrs hiding key on you?
Ron nice pic again

Would you pay $1,000 to attend your grandson's birthday party?

The way I see it, it's not a matter of money. That judge is probably exposed to far more potential CoVid-19 carriers than the grandson or his family. Not very good judgement being exercised to expose them to that risk pool. Worse, a judge is supposed to be an example for his community. The way he behaved, it's clear he thinks himself beyond the law. It would seem appropriate that he remain an example, and be made an example in terms of enforcement. :2cents:

Good morning all. Calm, dry and set to rise to 22C/72F once again.

I think TBN may be experimenting with AI software to check content before accepting anything for posting. These last few days it has been erasing what I wrote and logging me out once I pressed the submit button. Maybe it failed a not interesting enough test. The tech support crew intervened and got be back on here once I sent them an email, so unfortunately you are stuck with my ramblings again.

Not that much has been happening around here, 3 afternoons have been spent trying to catch up on winter work, muck spreading. Still plenty left in the pile.

Once the spreader is full it takes my friend about 10-15 minutes to empty it and return. In between I have been sat in the cab, listening to a downloaded series of radio programs about Apollo 13. Absolutely captivating. If anyone else would like to listen, it says it is available on the BBC world service BBC World Service - 13 Minutes to the Moon, Season 2: The Apollo 13 story, or if that doesn't work search for "BBC Season 2: The Apollo 13 story"

Sodamo, does playing the rolling stones remind you to keep away from that steep drop off ? :D

LS, good to see your water feature coming to life after so long in storage

Rick, I weep each time I see you with burn piles for your live oak. In contrast, earlier this week I was cutting and stacking every piece down to 1" diameter from the overhanging oak branches I trimmed a couple of weeks ago. The remaining twigs are piled high, later I will spend more hours breaking them down into cubic yard bags for kindling. Very time consuming, but It keeps me out of trouble - you must get up to all sorts of mischief with all that extra time on your hands. :)

Good morning, the temp is 31ーF and going to a high of 45. Wind SSE 6 mph. 60% chance of showers.

After the temp gets up near 40ー, I will go outside and see what I can do to 'refine' my exhaust stack. The L-bow off the manifold is too close to the fuel tank heat shield for my comfort. I may need to put in a couple of 90s instead of the 45s.
That is my day planned out.

RNG; you said it way better than I ever could. I agree with you 100%. Do you mean throw his azz in the can in GP for 6 months? And let it be known in the GP that he is/was a judge?
Scratch one judge, they'd kill him.

Have a safe and healthy day all

29 right now...high in the upper 50's today.
Stepdaughter suggested we clean the gutters (leaves and such) and offered to help...so, I guess that will be today's chore when it warms a bit.
Nice day yesterday....wifey, stepdaughter and I had a few drinks (stepdaughter and I had Jameson, wifey has Sangria)...pleasantly buzzed without getting stupid (I do get stupid on occasions).
Met a fellow TBNer yesterday. He had purchased some .380ACP ammo for me since he doesn't have to pay shipping cost (pricey!!!). Nice guy...hope we meet again!

68 degrees going for a high of 78 today. NWS says Denton got .82" of rain yesterday (last night) and we're getting a downpour right now, but the radar show that it may be ending soon. So I don't know how much my gauge has gotten until it gets light outside.

I've never ordered groceries to pick up without going in the store, so I ordered some things yesterday that I'm supposed to pick up day after tomorrow just to learn something new.
