Down to 46°, going to be cool the next few days. I spent the afternoon on the tractor pushing dead and green overgrown branches on a row of Leland Cypress that was interfering with my mowing. I dropped the quick change bucket off the loader, I’m going to try mowing that way, if it’s in the way, next time I’ll just drop the loader like before. Really not much of job either way.

If anyone has any other comments on the chainsaw please post them, I’ll be buying one in the next few days.

Prayers everyone stays safe.

The biggest problems I've had with battery powered tools are the batteries. If the reviews on the HF website say the batteries last at least a couple of years, and the saws haven't fallen apart, I'd say go for it. But if the tools and batteries haven't been out very long, I'd be hesitant to take the plunge.:2cents:

35 right now...high in the low 40's today.

Back's still giving me twinges...not too bad, but I'm glad I'm not mowing yet. My Zero-Turn would aggravate the situation...
No "Stimulus" check yet...figured it would be here by now...

Good morning, beautiful day here, sun is glinting off a highly polished plough that is getting ready to turn over a neighbour's field. With a bit of luck, should have the last of the muck spreading done this afternoon.

LS, thanks for the snow pics, really - cool.

Randy, I have an ego battery chainsaw. It sounds like a toy, yet cuts really well and gets more use than my petrol saws, felling your 8" cherries would be no problem at all. When looking at reviews for different makes and models, look also at the weight of the batteries. I bought mine with 2 lighter batteries instead of a single heavier battery and haven't regretted that at all.

Intrigued by those "stimulus" cheques. Are there restrictions on what the money can be used for ?

None that I read...but not all US Citizens will receive one. The higher one's income, the less one will get. I think the cutoff is $99K for a single person, $150K per couple.
I don't make near to $99K, but when I add my social security, I'm reasonably close. But, being married, I guess it's the $150K cutoff the applies. It wasn't in my bank this morning...

Frankly, the cutoff should, IMHO, been a lot lower...maybe $50K for singles, $80K or so for couples...more if there's dependents under a certain age...

Good morning All. 36 and light rain right now. Supposed to be mid fifties with breezy sunshine later.

Yesterday was brush cleanup from the spring “haircuts “ for all of the trees and all of the wind debris. About 3 hours with the chipper. Sure neatened up the place. Today looks to be energy conservation.

The stimulus check was deposited to our bank account very early this morning.

Have a good hump day !

Frank

Good morning, the temp here is 20°F and going to a high of 34. Wind W 5 mph. Flurries, heavy at times.

Getting my part yesterday was painless for both me and my passenger who had an order there as well.

34 is way too cold for my arthritic hands, so I will conserve energy today.

Have a safe and healthy day all
