The picture is in code.
The turtle represents a slow boat (and finishing the phrase) - to China. She is sending the virus back to China, YEA!!

Thanks all. I hope Don has it right. She eats about $5 worth of apples a day.... :)

2020-04-17,

Up way too early!

31 right now...high in the mid-40's today. All this cold weather is my fault. I bought two straw hats for summer use and this is payback.

Might get an inch of snow tonight

amazing it is still snowing up there. Texas even had some snow in the panhandle the other day...

When I first got it I used it to look down a plugged down spout with multiple bends. It revealed that the problem was several 1 1/2" screws were used to assemble the sections, instead of proper 1/4". The long screws caught leaves and jammed up the works. Guess that was easier than walking to truck to get more proper screws.

What are you complaining about Rick? You got more screws for your money than you bargained for!

But I feel your pain. The rear window defroster wasn't working on the van when I got it. Fished an endoscope up the A pillar on the driver's side to find the wire chewed in half by mice. The ex-mechanic that sold it to me didn't charge extra for that "feature", either.:muttering:

66° and .38 inches rain. It’s Friday, whatever that means

Not sure what mischief I’ll get into today. Maybe productive, maybe not. Doesn’t really matter, it will be a great day 🤙

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

That's a fine boat Kyle. Attagirl.

Got the rv down to the tire store downtown and they fixed the rear dual wheel air extension valve they screwed up
putting new tires on. And I ordered another pair of tires for the truck. Only did the fronts two months ago, but recently had some wheelspin in rain in an intersection
and that told me I had gone as long as I could safely.

Then home to house cleaners, all six of them. First they all washed their hands,
Then they went through my kitchen storage area and cleaned it all, and rearranged it...intentionally.
At least I know Mrs Buyer isn't going to find mouse poop under the sink now.
And when they left I spent 15 minutes wiping down touch points and all the knobs.
They understand shiny, I want/need clean. I get them to use bleach in all the bathrooms

That all looked great, until they left...The kitchen floor grout that I just had professionally fixed was crumbling after the first wash
from what ever cleaner they used, likely pine oil. Just dissolved parts of the grout. Groan. Guess that's why one should seal the grout.

I'm headed out to check on the gardens and hunt down the red ants. Beautiful day out, sunny and 72

The NWS/Boston-Norton Office just issued a Winter Storm Warning for parts of MA (like here and at Phil's).

We got about 4 inches of snow this morning. Another record, which I'm getting tired of...

I saw that this morning in the TBN Ranger sub-forum. It's way powerful now and I can run Regular gas. When Ford puts in the extra power pac you can only use Premium gasoline.

Yes, not like it's underpowered with standard engine. 0-60 in 6.1 sec is pretty quick for a truck or car.
Right now regular unleaded is dirt cheap too.

Nice day out and time to chill.

Dang ...plowing snow and I just came in from five hours mowing grass. Even avoided a big swath of the front due to standing water.

Crazy weather.

I got some help today and finished topping the tree by the mailbox.. wild plums that made a mess (flowers are pretty, but plums falling make a mess and the birds love them and crap all over... so we cut it just above waist high.. left a few flowering branches to take down later. I put forks on tractor and after getting branches I cut previously hauled away, I cut the rest with battery sawzall and then hauled those off.. I also was smart enough to put my work boots on to help stabilize my ankles to help me balance better..

All good, we all have pollens and needed showers... resting inside now... losing track of days (I love that about retirement, losing track of what day it is makes me feel like I am on vacation)..

Listening to CV19 update now as I type... sounds like we will have some decent testing soon..

Stay safe, prayers for all.

Yep, I'm lucking out the county line is stopping the storm watch. We are only predicted for 2-4 inches tonight and another inch tomorrow day.
Hopefully the last of the snow.

Ordered Mini mavic drone. Wonder if it comes preinfected.

Sister did get out of hospital yesterday.

Wife could not talk to her dad when she called hospital, and they also would not give her any info.

Good evening!

Never did get any of the snow that has been predicted for 2 days. Went north of us. Just rain. No complaints at all.

Everyone stay safe out there!

Snow - YIKES!!!

Another couple hours mowing, but before that I spent some quality time working on the mower. Gearbox had worked loose so I got that tightened down with my recently acquired Ryobi 18v impact wrench. Worked well. Also took apart the slip clutch, could adjust any more. I could be wrong, but I highly suspect it never had 2 clutch discs as shown in manual, just one. Absolutely no evidence that there had been another that I wore out, not even a bit of dust. Cleaned up and put back together. I suspect springs are getting old and need replacing, the rusted bolts sure do. But I added 2 heavy duty washers, 1 each side and got tension. Also ordered new discs.

I’ve had this mower 15 years, but suspect it was never set up right, although dealer said it was. A week after I bought (with my Kioti) I put everything in a 20ft container and shipped off to Hawaii. Been self educational ever since. For years, I’d go thru shear bolts. I think my record was 6 in a day. I figured I was just being too aggressive. Then I read something about adjusting the slip clutch and it’s been amazing. I put in new shear bolt today, but it was only slightly distorted, not broken. Last time I tried to adjust clutch tension there was no more bolt adjustment. Very pleased with the way it worked today, but looking forward to getting the new discs, springs, bolts and nuts. The metal surfaces weren’t scored or burned so likely won’t get them milled. I really need to rebuild the mower, but that’s another story and deserving on own thread once I start.

Hawkeye. On losing days... there has been a time or two when I thought my iPhone was wrong, but it’s always been me.
