About 15 minutes after my previous post it started raining, hasn’t let up so no way I’m mowing today. Grass is already thick, adding wet isn’t a positive.

Ned to season and vac seal the NY strips I got yesterday, minus the 2 keeping out for Mother’s Day.

Never tried QH on 3pt, only used as QA on front to use 3pt stuff, particularly my extended boom pole or land rake.

My garden start took a hit overnight. Had a tray trying to start Kabocha, Zucchini, and watermelon seeds. Something found a feast have to try again.

Drew, Sophie had a powerchair when she first got out of hospital from her accident and used it several years. Very very handy for her as she didn’t have full use of either arm and all it took was a bit of joystick control.
But in some ways it was also a PITA, she could never have managed it by herself. Can’t remember name, but not a cheap model. Large battery pack was removable and chair collapsed like a regular wheelchair. No way she could lift either, but I could fit in truck of car, not every trunk. But as much a PITA it was her chair of choice compared to her manual chairs. She also had some special cushion for it, also prescribed. When she had progressed this was also a better chair for her own self entry/exit, very stable. Battery charger was bulky and heavy as well and had to recharge daily. I would imagine the newer stuff is much better as hers was 1999. She could maneuver throughout 1st floor of our small house and once I installed ramps outside as well, even going up and down side of street or visiting a neighbor (we lived Atlanta area then). We actually kept the chair and it is stored in shed (likely in poor shape after 15 years) as her ortho cautioned she could likely need it in later years. A major consideration when we designed/built this house, 36in doors, no halls, wide passage in kitchen, rollin showers, all this concrete, etc. Should that day ever come I wouldn’t hesitate to get her another, newer of course. And yes, insurance does cover.

I don't think people are too good at this social distancing thing. I was out mowing at the farm and saw a neighbor and his dad. It seemed rude not to stop and say hello. Dad had to keep telling his son to step back. I don't think it is natural. An older gentleman who was delivering Mothers day flowers rang the door bell and I almost opened the door until I remembered and asked him to leave them outside. We still have the virus spreading around our county. I need to get better at this stuff.

Went back to Home Depot to return bathroom cabinet. It was just too flimsy. You would think $80 for a small cabinets it would have more wood. Cardboard back plastic doors - couldn’t see the display model it was too high.

The Weekend crowd at HD was not as cautious as the weekday shoppers, Very crowded and 75% no Mask. Good thing I just had to go to the return checkout.

Did mom’s grocery shopping different quality TP was available and got every thing on her list except yeast.

I’m making my own sourdough yeast but I’m only on day 4 of 5.

I agree, Chris, just not natural. Also a reason I think Hawaii is at low end of cases and deaths - a very close society strong and hugging, kissing, being close. There have been a number of studies linking the benefits of touch, I think nearness is a factor as well.I hope in aftermath there is a way to evaluate. My personal thinking is you can relate to how youngsters of today just don’t have the immune strength of we older people who grew up eating dirt, being exposed to who knows what, and constantly up close with people and our pets. I have read that some studies have seen this link. I think it extends to some of these newer diseases as well.
That said, I am practicing

Contrary to what I said previously decided to mow. Remembered that area was mowed more recently than area I just finished so hopefully not as thick. Also not as many slopes to be cautious when wet. Taking a break now, had to refuel, but about 1/4-1/3 done. Will finish my beer and head out for another hour or so.

My wife reminded me it's Blackberry winter...cold weather when the blackberries bloom...which they are doing here.

Still not sure about the TBN website...seems that I am getting pop-up spam attempts when I connect using laptop...urgent messages to update Adobe Flashplayer, or Norton antivirus sometimes when I connect...never happens when I go to any other website.

Have you looked into the Tapatalk app? That what I use on iPhone and iPad to interface TBN, TNT, Welding Site and a number of others. Polaris Ranger, Corvette, PowerStroke, Woodworking, etc.

Good evening all. 51F for the start, mostly sunny near calm wind. Wind picked up past forecast, sky stayed mostly sunny, and high temp 71F. Bike ride this morning, 4 1/2 hours in saddle, 64.5 miles. Forgot to unclip at early stop and proceeded to fall over on that side, Broke one bolt and wounded my pride. Was able to quiet loose parts and minimize fender on tire rubbing. Soaking bolt in penetrating oil. will be easier to remove broken bole with rack out of way. Did get short nap in.
