good morning. 74 going up to mid 90's today, dry weather until Saturday.
Ordered some decaf coffee online, until it comes in, sticking with Earl Grey decaf with my morning muffin.
My next older brother, the CPA in PA, has been under the gun to get work out, July 15 became the new April 15, but he and his
wife are working hard to find an apt for me in there area. Can't do townhouses, looking for carriage house on farm, not available that often
or on a timely basis but keeping my fingers crossed. Family is now convinced, somewhat, I no longer need assisted living, either here or in PA, so
need to be patient to find a place up in Bucks County. Hard to do, prices/rents are very high.

Audi dealer finally called back, said coronovirus had really hurt their business, agreed to drive three miles over here on Friday, pick up my Q5 and take it back
for routine service and tire rotation. Only had 5k miles on oil change but it had been a year. I'm fine with that, too many tales of direct injection engines having major problems due to extended oil change intervals. Car also has several recalls they need to fix, none of which seem to be an issue on my car.

working on prescriptions today, making my own list so I can better understand what is prescribed vs OTC; most of which is the latter. 23 different meds, worried about duplication, unecessaries. Some like Turmeric, Niacin, multivitamin and CoQ10 are optional but make sense for senior with cancer history.

Coffee is done brewing. 61° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 89° with sun and clouds. Dr. appointment went well. But as always got another one next week. PC Dr. called to talk about last weeks visit and test. All negative. Going to wait until next month to decide what to do about blood pressure meds. May wash windows today before it gets to hot.
Mother, yearling and fawn. There was a 4th deer but it was camera shy.

Drew, figuring out meds can be a problem. Especially what is really needed. Good luck with them. Glad dealer called back.

RS, I need to start trapping Sparrows. Bluebirds show up. Then next I know they are gone in a couple of days.

MFW, good to hear from you.

Don, the best Seat Time.

Everyone be safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Ditto from Buppies weather report. But ours is reading 64.

Looks like we will set a new record (for this area) on consecutive days in the 90's. Long term 10-day outlook more 90's.

I'll have to restock the water supply here at the house.

Still plunking along on the front porch. Need to rethink the electric now. Sigh. Wife wants to reposition a light fixture, from by doors to middle ceiling. I used screws on everything, so I may need to take some OSB off.

Need to go order the wood and siding too. Need to chip/sand/chemical those old glue strips off. LOL. Delay tactic on my part.

Have a great day all. Be safe.

62 this morning and headed to 89 today. Not much on the agenda today, just want to enjoy the lower humidity for a day or two.
Drew, good luck home hunting.
I wish you all a good day, God bless.

Wish it was 62 here, Toppop...but still felt good watering the garden before sunrise with it at 67...going to 91, and more humidity but no rain.

Kyle, sorry wife's been sick, glad not the Chinese flu.

Glad Kekoa not too serious....I have to rotate the foods I hide Coco's pills in...she gets wise and refuses even the best treats: cheese, thin deli sliced ham or turkey...I'm mostly having to push the pills into the back of her throat now, then give a treat. My wife found some expensive dog treats called Pill Pockets...look like hollow Hershey kisses to stuff a pill into...she loved them for exactly one day...now won't even eat it without a pill. She is doing better and the tests show no cancer....but looks pretty bad.

Ate our first tomato last night from the garden...also getting okra, peppers, beans, flowers, squash, zucchini. Hard to keep it watered using our well. All hand watering since sprinklers are not efficient.

Rick...Cha Ching. Used my radiator Genie a couple of times and it's fantastic. I'm ready to send you the commission...just need your bank account number, password and Social Security Number. :)

Good morning 65 going up to 85, must be a cold front

Got some more painting done on the steps before wife said she didn't like the color (that she asked me to use) ! Ordered a few off whites to show her for next round of painting

K5-people are nuts, restraining order required ?

wngsprd - try almond or peanut butter for pills-my dog will eat the pill if some of the butter is stuck to it, then again my dog loves going to the vet:shocked:

Jay - how is wife, has she found a balance yet with meds?

Drew- if you need pictures of a place let me know.

Was able to fill in some of the dug up piping for the pool in prep for going in the direction of the leaking jets. unfortunately they are under a large shed and huge chunk of cement- Anyone have advice on tunneling under heavy objects safely :-(

For invasive - just insects on my property right now causing huge damage: Japanese beetles - traps are filling quickly, but they multiply so fast...
Emerald Ash borer - had to pay to get some of the larger Ash trees taken down that were too close to buildings- I removed 7 -another 15-20 are falling- I have many dords of friewood now ...
Lantern fly - killing my roses and some of the vines-even found one on my fig tree - spraying with insecticide soap spray seems to work, but I find clumps of 20-50 in various areas so who knows how many thousands are here. They like to drown themselves in the pool-may have pulled out a few hundred-

Stay well and be safe.

Drew- if you need pictures of a place let me know.
thanks Ken. First lead is an older rancher right across from township/police station in solebury, perfect location, quiet in woods.
Corner of The Lane and Sugan Road.
Google Maps
But...no a/c, would have to buy window units, not a big deal if the electrical system can handle it. Will be able to go see it after August 1 when current
tenants vacate. I know most of these homes, probably insured this house 30 years ago when I owned town's main insurance agency, it's an older small home that
might be ok. And I'm responsible for lawn/snow, sigh, but clearly could sub that out.

Checking In

It's been a while since I last posted. Honestly I hope that I now have the time and energy to keep involved here. It's been a "clinically" interesting :(, depressing, and stressful around here.

It's incredibly difficult and stressful to "clinically" assess the one you love and have lived with for ~45 years. There are lots of personal blind spots on my end. Watching Peg systematically shut down over this timeframe to the point of just sitting in the dark watching a blank widescreen TV for hours/days on end or watching muted movements on a TV screen doing nothing, saying nothing; barely going through the motions of living or maintaining herself excepting keeping me away from doing the laundry. The Red Flag Warning finally went up when I saw her watching a muted Jerry Springer Show episode rerun and she wandered off before the requisite hair pulling, clothes tearing buxomly catfight finale which unfortunately I did watch.

Our taxes are complicated. My Wife, a former accountant and CFO, could do our taxes with little difficulty, but not this year; and it stressed her out to the point it took her to the point of emotional shutdown and going into the dark side of her Depression/PTSD. Stopping her meds, self medicating in less that appropriate and healthy ways, poor self care, significant mental status changes (of various possible etiologies) did not help. She went into March with our taxes mostly completed (TurboTax®), and apparently put filing off until far too late with the extended filing date.

She was confused and knew it. What she did not know nor realize was that there were quite a few tax related institutional confusions to add to her own: Like never sent 1099R forms; inaccurate corporate tax reporting EIN's; confusing tech support from our 2 main financial accounts, Google, G-Mail, and TurboTax; confusing website directories, etc. It got to the point my Wife's laptop got confused as did her cellphone. That was all happening and I was still basically uned out of her tax stuff until late last week. Fortunately for me all the tax work was essentially done and I was somehow able to figure out with a lot of support from our financial advisors and their staffs support what still needed to be done. Meanwhile and luckily, Peg did make an appointment with H&R Block for this Monday. It took two hours, but the Tax Specialist got it done and our taxes were e-filed. Monday night I got a call from the Tax Specialist. The H&RB tax program rejected e-filing, but a hardcopy (which I did not have) would be acceptable. Tuesday morning it was a run down to the Big City I got the tax forms, and they were filed.

A lot of confusions; and my own computers (2 Macs) which were out of the Tax/Finance loop became confused as well once they got involved in the confusion.

So far on a + note: Peg has since started to work out of her "bad" places in + ways. I have a better understanding of our investments, taxes, and finances. I have gotten all our computers less confused and working again. Our Happy Hours are a lot less happy than in the past and with no extended hours. Peg is getting a new Mac laptop. Brogen now outweighs me.(I hope that's a good thing.).

That's the news here. There´s still a lot of stuff going on with this concern. The property related stuff is going along fairly well. I need rain badly.

This is a place where grown old farts can share + and - "stuff" and tears that would probably not be shared anywhere else.

I know when I or any frequent flyer here disappears the other flyers start getting worried.

I also know when that happens the prayers and + thoughts start flying.

Thanks

Jay
