Good morning! 76˚F clear skies and raining. feels like 76˚F, wet bulb 75˚F, I watched and marked the auto sprinklers that are hitting the weather station this morning to see which ones are setting off the rain alert. I'll angle them down today to hit below the wether station. I feel like a wet bulb after running in the sprinklers to mark them - when they go off they go underground and are invisible.

The manual cedar puller is not a time saver or energy saver and since the trails do not go under the trees a tiny stump does not need to be removed. we all agreed the continue with the 2 second removal with a chainsaw or loppers and to use the puller when the cedars are on the foot path and no little tripping stumps can be present.

Randy if it makes you feel better my wife's iPhone was not eligible and she was not eligible for the Watch either.

Whipper's training continues. So far no endless barking, she stops after two barks.

Found this quiet cool fan for the garage but still looking around. Everything is included so easy install.

Good morning to all! Low of 56, going for a high of 90 today, no rain. A chance of showers return tomorrow as a cold front comes across. Better chances return next week.

Need to do some errands today, then maybe into the shop to work on the park bench.

Drew, always knew you had good taste! :D

Randy, I agree, Lexan is much better.

Rng, good luck on the tank project. How many coats are required?

Ron, very nice pic, as usual. A second career for Nat Geo?

BEF, hope the shoulder pain gets resolved soon! Any thoughts on what is caused it?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Don......."Found this quiet cool fan for the garage but still looking around. Everything is included so easy install.
Ceiling Mount Garage Fans | QuietCool"......

During all my fan research, these were the only 'all inclusive' type fans. Everything else required a bunch of additional supplies. I actually thought about using one of these as a whole house fan, but I was concerned that the CFM was a little too low for the house.

I have to report that I couldn't hear the fan running last night at all! The ceiling fan in the bedroom was louder than the house fan that was just another 10' away. When they say "Quiet Cool", they really mean it.

73°F and rain this morning, going up to 80° today. We are in an every-day-rain trend right now, at least through Tuesday, and we definitely need it. High temps for the next week will be mostly in the 75-80° range. Not going to hate that at all, especially for the first week of August, which is usually blazing hot here.

It was raining when I got home from work yesterday - stayed later than normal to get a problem resolved - so I got a whole lot of nothing done. Didn't even open the door to the studio. I just sat on the couch in the basement and worked on finishing a book I've been ignoring. That was a pleasant break.

Glad you finally got the card, Drew. I was kind of wondering if it ever got there. You were easy to find, as you told us where you'd be staying.

We've had Tiptree preserves as well. Good stuff. My favorites are their raspberry and apricot.

Thanks for the garage fan link, Don. Been thinking about putting one in our garage. It gets unbearably hot in there this time of year. Even the ridge vent installed with the new roof doesn't help enough.

Ted, glad that fan has worked out so well for you

took quite a bit of stuff to storage locker this morning after doing some shopping at Walmart when they opened at 7am. Finding if I go to places early, lot less folks inside.
Some stores even have the first hour set aside for seniors and immune suppressed folks like me, though didn't seem like it was being enforced or paid much attention to.
Guy in line at Walmart kept crowding me, so I put the cart behind me and forced him away from me.

my little greenhouse was made out of very thin Lexan panels that oilcanned a bit in the wind but were remarkably durable.
And I have some prior experience with that space age stuff. The second time I had to replace canvas on my Bertram, I said no more rollup
vinyl, the hot ticket was solid sheets of glass like material. So I had the aft deck area and flybridge done in Lexan. My was that nice, easy to clean, but after
three years in the South Florida sun, I was just starting to see a little yellowing. Then I ruined the aft deck canvas by prepping for a hurricane and foolishly put duct tape
across it. Glue melted in tape, and I could not get that off Lexan without wrecking it. Bad Captain... we sat through two hurricanes, one onboard the boat and I must say I felt a lot more secure from the 100mph coconuts and palm fronds with the Lexan in there.

just set up my water system properly, installed an inline water filter and water pressure regulator. Hope it doesn't reduce the water pressure in rv too much, the showers have been wonderful. Came in drenched in sweat, one shirt off for the day. Happy to just sit here in shorts, not going out any more. Of course after buying a bucket, car wash, hose, soft bristle brush, I realized the hose nozzle was no longer there. I should have picked that up in Walmart this morning. For another day's list.
I also got a small box fan for inside, it's doing a great job moving the air around

Good morning folks
Cloudy 79 with a dew point of 70 high of 88 with showers and thunder storms.
Had enough rain over night to wet a paper towel.
We need some real steady rain to help with this moderate drought.
Almost every rain forecast has not happened in our area.
Did most of the outside stuff early and maybe do some weed whacking later.

AC replacement didn't happen yesterday. The supply house got the part number wrong
and gave me a window only unit instead of a thru wall mounting capable. They apologized but didn't
have stock on the one I needed. They have a delivery coming in today and offered me an upgraded
unit for no extra charge. I'm not sure I need to set temps and turn on/off etc. with my phone?
So hopefully install tomorrow.
It makes me smile when I see many other's projects moving forward, gives me hope!

Enjoy your day all.

Luther

78F and mostly cloudy @ 12:00, high predicted to hit 84F. No sun ... so gable vent fan not running.

Chance of stray shower or thunderstorm at some point ... so have stuff around back I need to move inside.

Got area cleared out in garage for Simplicity yesterday, another load taken around back to the basement, some stuff taken up to the shop and more clean up done.

More cleaning still to do.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

Ron, been wanting one of those chain brush grabbers, so just ordered one. Grapple can’t grab small bushes well. Thanks for reminder.

And thanks for fan info. Need one in my pole barn. Gets hot in there.
