Seasoned with some Tony's and some mesquite chunks of wood in the pit too.
Also sprinkled a bit of beer on them to keep moist.

You PA guys better hurry and get down here before they're gone. :)

Making me drool.

built another birdhouse, this one for my neighbor across the street who I've known forever
thru the fire company. Then two more planned for the brothers who own the lumberyard where the good cedar has
come from, since I've already made their sister/ my ex wife one already.
We've all been friends a long time, went to elementary and high school together.
So since I"m done my list, and have a little nice weather left, why not build a few more since I have all the supplies.

the world famous Popgadget pulled pork sandwich on spicy home made guacamole made locally.
And then another one with spicy Caribbean Mango sauce and I was happily stuffed.

had my fill of excitement today. Happy to sit down and do nothing.

Looks like iron in the water. Even though it's fresh and clean it will still have minerals in it. Those minerals will collect on surfaces over time.

Iron, calcium and lime usually play havoc on those little pumps.

I'll have to remember to take pictures of a salt water pump the next time I have to rebuild one. Those babies will get clogged and locked up tight. Although they are usually fairly easy to clean up. Just suspend them in vinegar for about a week. And then pressure wash the pump end

Thanks

Noticed you are from AR. My son goes to Harding Univ in Searcy, but is doing remote right now. I’ve driven thru your area on 64.

If you've gone across 64, then you've been within 2/10 of a mile from my house.

If your back around that area during Breakfast time, Sawbucks Restaraunt at the stop light in Elpaso Arkansas is the place to go.

There lunch and dinner are okay. But there breakfast rocks They got the best fried taters around.

spilling fallen mud dauber nests and black snake poop on me
I'm never whining again...;)
That's a heady combo of messy nastiness.
Gotta get your snakes to go poop in the woods...

but for a little whine...brain mri this morning was miserable, my neck was not straight, pinched nerves in neck, shoulder
went numb and ached like crazy, then pains shooting down arm. How does one say pinched nerve?
And of course you can't move even a tiny bit or they'll have to do it over again.
So you're waiting and wondering if the little voice that says this next scan will take four minutes must have been mistaken because
it feels like you've waited, in pain, for more than ten...
You just have to suck it up and grit your teeth.

Fifteen seconds after I got up from table it mostly
all went away. Next time I have to remember to take my soft collar.
Which I need to wear now. Works well in the winter in the cold at least...

when I got home I started the heater in the garage and am heading out to make some sawdust later.
I took some cedar woodworking scraps with me yesterday
to my friend with the fire pit and they made nice kindling.

Other than mesquite, I know apple and cherry trees have a very pleasant odor burning.
Not sure what else you can burn that smells nice. Sugar Maple?
Some is so resinous it's dangerous as it blows sparks everywhere.

what's your favorite wood to smell burning?

Sandlewood, but it’s not plentiful or particularly btu friendly.

What about we Maryland guys?
They look great!
I’m actually doing bbq chops tomorrow, but if I could eat yours I could save mine.

And the rain continues. Looks like the drought has broken at last. Strong wind warnings but at the moment, no wind at all. Might have a grass lawn for Christmas after all instead of dirt.

Chops look good! Did some on the grill last weekend, I always forget how good they are!

Popgadget's pulled pork looks second to none!

Productive time in the shop!! Got the pieces all finish sanded, first one about 90% assembled.

One little glitch, I decided mid assembly that I wanted to change the legs, so essentially used all of the leg material from both on just one..... now I have to cut and plane 8 more pieces. No big deal, will get them done tomorrow. The other pieces are all ready....

Once both are assembled, then comes the stain / finish.... I think I will make it in time.

My wife cleaned out the garden plants yesterday, so today I took up some of the black weed block. Wanted to till garden before winter but way too wet.

Kitty has a new favorite spot.

I’m minutes from Dublin. About a mile and a half from Elephant Rd on 113

If you head south on 113 from 313, as soon as you pass the landscaping / stone place, there is (was?) a tree line and a driveway now serving three houses. We used to own that big parcel (30+ acres). I built (personally) the big U shaped rancher that you can see from 113.

We sold it off in 1987..... if I sold it now, would have made at least 15x more.... hindsight is a wonderful thing.... I really miss it there. Loved to go fishing up at Lake Nockamixon. My SIL and BIL live just outside of Ottsville, they have been there about 40 years now.....

Small world for sure!

Thank you! I really enjoy woodworking, only now the family is looking for "family heirlooms"..... I think they are trying to tell me something....

I know exactly the property you’re talking about. That intersection has changed dramatically. There is now a CVS, a Weiss grocery store with gas, and the WAWA has been demolished and is in the process of being rebuilt bigger and with gas as well. So three of the four corners will be pumping fuel. I know what you are saying about prices, I’ve been here since the middle 70’s.

53F and rain @ 21:00, had a heavy downpour a little bit ago.

Meatball sub with sauce and Romano baked on for dinner, The Woman had the penne with meat sauce ...

Managed to get the Wonder Board moved inside before the rain really started this morning.

Also located the hardware for the light fixtures in the hallway and got one of those put up before I pooped out and went back to bed due to getting up too early this morning.

UPS delivered the tile flange before I did. Amazon also delivered The Woman's stuff ... but left it up in the mail box ...

Shower valves valve and fixtures have shipped.

Spent some more time after I got back up watching YouTube videos on tiling and more tile saw reviews.

Have decided to go with the RIGID 7" wet tile saw ... $10 bucks cheaper than 7" HFT unit currently and includes a stand ... but the RIGID warranty was the main selling point. Will pick it up tomorrow, along with some other odds and ends.

The 10" HFT unit was in contention as well ... primarily because it got very good reviews, 3 1/2" depth of cut (would easily handle the retaining wall blocks), and they're currently offering it at a good price ("Hot Buy", $389 vs. $429 regularly) ... but it didn't include a stand, you have to pay extra for extended warranty, and it is about double the weight (86 lbs, big factor)

I'm sure the RIGID unit will do a fine job.

Hope everyone had a great day ...

In that case, sure hope rebar doesn稚 puncture the tires.

Yeah ... me too ... particularly given the fact that the tires are nearly brand new ... just put them on a couple of months ago ...

rs, David beat me to it.

Well, there's 4' sticking up above ground ... and it's painted with fluorescent orange marking paint ... so she would have to really work at it.

But I'd never sell her short ... :D
