Rswyan haircut over a month....

When I got mine Tue I was teasing my beautician (seems State licensing here is unisex hair cutting) that back when I was active duty I’d get a haircut 2 or 3 times a month.

;)

Yup ... twice a month would have been normal for me, back in the day.

When it starts hitting my ears, it's past time.

She’s been cutting my hair 15 years and I only see her 3, maybe 4 times a year. Of course it was a lot cheaper in those days too.

Right ...

I pretty much see my "stylist" on a daily basis ... and while there is no cash outlay, there is a cost ... ;)

I think it took her around around an hour today, fussing over it ... thought we were done several times and that I'd manage to get away only to be told "Hold on ... there's just one more spot I need to even up ..."

Mind you, I sure ain't complainin' ...

Lol, no, but you are usually on later than me.

Weather station behind house says 23° and 2 mph wind. Rattling screens on north side says wind is lot more.
Upstairs geo hit it’s limit, went down and turned on breaker for aux heat. Now it smells as the dust burns off. Upstairs now much warmer, Ka ching.
Watched neat video on new raspberry pi pico microcontroller.

What happens when you have to pay for an appliance repair, landscaper or someone who does not accept electronic transfers?

Cash is still around but now less and less used. Credit cards, visa, mastercard, amex, used mostly but we also have EFTPOS (Electronic Funds Transfer at Point of Sale) which straight to your bank account makes a withdrawal/transfer. Merchants like that coz there's no credit card fees deducted.

Drinking first cup of hot coffee. 4° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 26° with lots of sun. Did not get my grocery shopping. Spent most of the day looking at old pictures and just telling old stories. Grocery shopping and that Menards visit should happen today.
Black Squirrel is back at feeder. Watch out for those sharp teeth.

Jim S. interesting that bank no longer accept checks. I write one or two every month. Also get a couple checks every month. I take a picture of those checks using Banks/Credit Union app for deposit.

Rich, good your dad is feeling better. I read that if you have a reaction that its is a sign that vaccine is doing it job. But not for several day.

David and RS. Haircut twice a month. I got my last one before thanksgiving. Not going to get my next one until 3 weeks after my next vaccine shot. Around 3/1.

Drew, no wolves howling here. Coyotes were yipping.

Alien, hope you got some sleep.

Buckeye, I got a email from Chase Visa yesterday. Raised intertest to 29.99% and $40 for late payments starting 4/8. :confused2:

Don, when I see what some people are wearing for a mask. Your Dr's office has a good plan.

PJ, catch up sleep is very refreshing.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

good morning all.
Ron, credit companies laying back like Venus flytraps hoping you poke a toe in, then they'll suck you down with flat fees and higher interest until payoff.
and now when they send you the year end tax sheet, you can see what it all totals to, how much they have chowed down on your wallet. Gangsters in nice suits.

PJ, I'm looking at a copy of Sweetwater professional musician electronics that came in mail to past tenant here. Neat catalog, lots of equipment that made me really think about what they did; so much of this is now computerized and software driven it appears. I had fun looking and reading about the different kinds of microphones and guitars.
Popgadget, if you don't already get this catalog, I'll keep it until next time I see you. Check out the competition for speakers.

cold, cold, cold, Roy sent that cold weather down here for sure, thermometer said 9 degrees this morning.
Good day to bake some muffins.

22 heading to 38 and windy again.

Probably buck some more firewood from the downed trees today since local guy is calling for 6 to 9" snow starting Saturday night. Need to bring more onto the porch, too. Need to make a dump run, so may go hiking while I'm over that way.

Bird, hope that arm is better.

24, we’ve had colder mornings this year. Wind blew all night keeping temps up some. 33 for a high today.

Mostly, sorry about the prep, hope all is well with the test.

I’ve got an echocardiogram this morning, vaccine tomorrow morning and follow up on my aortic valve replacement next week.

Tonight is my niece’s birthday, (I’m not going) tomorrow is my middle grandson’s birthday, a drive by affair. Complete with fire truck and other equipment. It’s nice having friends in cool places. I’m just trying to avoid crowds. My son and his family will spend the night tonight, keeping my fingers crossed and praying for a few more weeks until the vaccine kicks in.

"Black Squirrel is back at feeder. Watch out for those sharp teeth."

Squirrel with attitude could be most interesting.

Good morning! 17 now, allegedly supposed to get to 27. The forecast was the same yesterday, I never saw anything more than 21. Forecast for Sunday/Monday is still interesting. At the moment, the forecast is 2 - 4 inches, but could change depending on storm path.

Wood burner is feeling good this morning!

Not sure what trouble I will find today, it can be a blank slate

Everyone stay safe out there

Not going to get my next one until 3 weeks after my next vaccine shot.
me too, I'm getting close to having a pigtail. With my arthritis I can't reach behind my head to use a trimmer, so living alone,
it just gets longer.

4 months after the end of chemo, the rest of my hair is growing back nicely. but on top has curliness it didn't use to, so doesn't lay down.
And my beard is growing very fast. One of the lab tests was for something like follicle stimulation rate and mine was very high.
Have no idea why. But I'm constantly having to trim my white beard to avoid looking like Santa Claus. On cold mornings like today,
that fleece on my face is going to feel very good.

It's a good day to be alive.
My back wouldn't last long but I love to split firewood in very cold dry weather. Wood reacts a little differently
and sometimes splits easier. Log splitter for sure. Beginning to think a 5-10hp 240V corded splitter would be the best, zero maintenance, though
you would need to top off hydraulic fluid and maybe change the filter every ten years. And haul a gen along with you. Actually good use for backup gen which
otherwise sits there begging for use.

So a 10 hp motor will need 7680 watts when operating. In one hour the motor will consume 7.680 KWatt hours. If the units are charged at 10 cents each then then that equates to 10x 7.680 / 100 Dollars = 76.8 cents. My 9kw gen should do fine... And if I had a garden tractor I could haul the whole rig around on wheels.
Stuff to think about when it's 9 degrees out and you are looking for things to do...

/ Good morning!!!! #126,540
-2F partly cloudy sky 11F for high wind 10-20mph which can only mean one thing....brrrrrr.

Outside chores done and there was no ***** footing around now toast time.

Plans for today...Do grocery shopping for the Mrs. other than keep wood furnace purring...might even take a nap.

Enjoy the day all.
