I put new o-rings on my air hose reel swivel and it still leaks, ordered a new one, first one I ordered wouldn’t work. In the meantime I applied my degree from the school of ‘Rigonometry’ and made a temporary solution. I replaced the swivel with air hose nipple, greased it good, and I’m back in business until I get my new swivel.

PING - other than some sort of measure of latency, just another thing in my lack of knowledge bucket.
I do know I’ve never seen the great low numbers I read about. I think it has something to do with my IP. Even though I’m aimed at a tower just over a mile away, my internet seems to think I’m on the mainland, usually California. Annoying as he 11 to attempt a quick log on to HD and read that I’m connected to the Huntington, Ca store for example. When I was trying the Verizon & Visible sims my pings were around 200. Really hopeful that Starlink is better.

I initially set up my Unifi AP’s just scattered about the house, inside where I had an ethernet connection. Saw decent wifi performance. I thought once configured I could easily just move to permanent location. Wrong.
I’m sitting in living room maybe 20ft straightline from one AP mast mounted, but I can’t get the signal through the metal roof. A second AP is mast mounted 90° to my right maybe 40ft. I can see base of mast through window but apparently it won’t pass through the roof either. Both I can stand outside and connect so long as no obstruction between me and AP. The mast mounted wireless AP at tractorshed sees neither, nor can I connect to either from that location. Frustrating in that I can see my non Unifi, albeit very weak from there. The main reason for the Unifi is to get a strong signal to that location. Guess I need to learn more about the radio/channels/strength. I’m a bit frustrated that this mast mounted external performs worst than my interior based network than lives in concrete walled, metal roofed structures.

Looking4new.
While I was cleaning up the snow banks and shoving it back farther I was running my right side tires on a log, and wouldn't you know it, I slipped off the log the wrong way and now she was down sideways with the same log in between the rear wheels and up against the very pile I was trying to shave the side off. It gets deep, fast there so I knew I wouldn't be getting out on my own (I did try and went in deeper). The garage I deal with is also a towing company so out they came. 20 minutes and $50.oo later I was out. With my 75' x 75' snow dump out of commission thanks to the last tow call I have to get real creative about where I put the snow. I see about two or three loads (22 tons each) of topsoil or fill in the cards for mid May.

Done something as such more than once...just little closer, just one more pass, than lot of extra work or coins .

I put new o-rings on my air hose reel swivel and it still leaks, l.

I have an air hose reel somewhere I never put up. Should do that sometime. One of my Subaru tires needs air about once a week, another about once a month. I keep dragging out the hose.

34° we got about 3-4” snow. Just started when I left for work, got heavy on way to work.
Saw that I79 was closed around noon because of accident, open on way home, but EB had something that just happened, saw backup and fire and police were responding. Did not see what happened, bushes in the medium blocked the view.
Trash not picked up.

I have a home made hose reel made from an old 14” Ford rim that has used a Milton quick coupler pair for a swivel that has been working for 30+ years.

That’s what I did, if it holds up it’ll probably stay there. To tell the truth the swivels seem more leak prone.

Billy, those big bugs are coming in May.
Cicadas to reemerge in US for first time in 17 years
I wonder how many cats and dogs eat these things and then wish they hadn't? I believe in Africa they barbecue and eat them.

and if you are really adventurous.......
Barbecued: Place about a dozen locusts on a skewer, stabbing each through the centre of the abdomen. If you only want to eat the abdomen, then you may want to take off the legs or wings either before or after cooking. Several skewers may be required for each person.

I AM NEVER, EVER, GOING TO AFRICA! Nope, no way, nada....

Didn't have a good nights sleep again last night. Really dragging today.

Called the PT facility.... they are still waiting to get approval..... really?

Made a bunch of calls getting payoff amounts on some loans we have (soon to be not have).... lots of waiting on hold for 10-15 minutes. All good, very nice customer service reps made the calls worthwhile.

We had an early dinner (at lunchtime) consisting of homemade chicken parmigiana and rottelle pasta.... mmmm, good. Then retired to the recliner to give the knee a break......
I quickly started dosing and fell asleep..... I was dreaming that I was trying to start a big chainsaw ..... when I startled awake, the wifey said "wow you were really sawing the wood!"..... I said "I was dreaming of a chainsaw".... she said I was snoring so loud she was laughing back in the BR....

Last night I suddenly awoke and sat up on the side of the bed.... wifey asked "what's wrong?".... I said "you just asked me to put Max outside".... Max was snoring in his bed, ignoring all of this....

All this comedy is killing me.... literally....

Does your state county offer tree farm program?

Probably, but that痴 not the issue. Just have to have a forestry plan. Apparently you can稚 do anything yourself anymore, you got to pay an 兎xpert for it to be accepted. His cows kept him in agriculture before, now that he sold the cows, he either has to sell hay, lease the land or manage and sell timber with a plan by a forester. He doesn稚 have to be a registered tree farm.

Check with the State Forestry Dep. They are paid experts. Paid by YOUR taxes.
In Mississippi it's free to the small landowner. I had the local Mississippi State forester work up a management plan for my parcels of land (about 400 acres all told).
One of the main reasons for me to do it was that there was some effort to get the lumber stores to favor "politically correct" wood. Trees grown under a forestry management plan would be more "environmentally" proper.
Basically he cut and pasted from the soil surveys and a few other sources. He came up with about 5 short plans covering various parcels. They had some recommendations but basically all said "grow trees, thin occasionally, cut when mature". Then he put signs on the parcels saying the land was under a forestry management plan. The locals use them for target practice.
During the course of my career I had been involved in writing several environmental plans for areas of forested/"wild" areas of Army Installations from Fort Dix to Fort Bliss. They ran into hundreds of pages, took hundreds of man hours and thousands of dollars.
His plans were about 5 to 10 pages. Might have taken a week to do.
My involvement was limited to discussing how much effort I wanted to put in to maintenance.

But now when I go to sell timber if I'm asked if the timber is and has been in a "managed forest" I can say yes, since about 2010. I view it as one of the little things like getting a passport stamped.
