good morning all. Cooler day today, 27 out now going up to only 43. Red Flag warning still up, as I expected mostly
for NJ and the Pine Barrens, they had a big fire there yesterday.

busy day today. Electrician coming early for quote on upgrading service. Then off to Honda dealer in Doylestown for a quote on a Ridgeline.
And then back to finish planting my seeds in trays inside.

Feel much better this morning, yeah.

David, impressive watch but first I need a new Iphone. Really want the better camera available but can anyone comment on model 11 vs 12?
Do I need the very latest to get the better camera? Currently have ancient SE whose battery is dying.

Hope the beginning of the week is good for everyone.
Particularly Ted, you feeling better this morning?

Drew, thanks. No experience with the 11, but loving the 12pro max.
I suspect there are a number of deals available. I’m amazed at some of my pics.

Still love my Ridgeline too. Maybe info here

RNG, guessing the Cardinals were brought over unless they just hitched a boatride.

We don’t see that many, but Sophie has been feeding a pair for years. Not here full time and have had chicks too, so maybe not same pair but descendants.

does a Iphone 12 fit in your pocket like the SE?
I don't want a tablet...

this was very helpful, thanks
I think the 12 Pro is best for me, slightly smaller than Pro Max. About 27 bucks a month at 0 percent interest from Verizon if I trade in my SE. $648
Think that's what I'm going to do. Now to find a retail store that is open.

Drew, I did a scaled comparison when I was evaluating size.
Due to bezel getting smaller overall size is pretty good.

I compared to X as that was our current phone. Just sub your SE dimensions.

David, thanks for link to ridgeline owners. I guess I'm now one.
Got 2 grand off a loaded RTL-E and they gave me my ask on the audi.
Well actually that took a little horsetrading because it will take up to two months to get
new truck built, and that makes them nervous doing deals 2 months out.
I told the salesman, who was by far the most senior guy there and an ex dealership mgr, that I would
be his easiest sale today, and on the way out, he thanked me and said yes I was. I knew what I wanted, how much I wanted to
pay for it, and asked for a trade in exactly halfway in the KBB range.

Ordered a dark blue one with a grey leather interior, the only interior color other than black. Other than a pickup bed cover, window vent shades and mud flaps,
no other options to choose. Interior is a little industrial looking compared
to the Audi, but seat is softer and more comfortable and the controls look easy to use.
It may be the least expensive vehicle I have bought in the last ten years but it also feels well made.
With a fairly plain and functional interior with nothing gee whiz. Infotainment screen looked just like the one in
my Subaru Outback. Probably from the same supplier... But since it's a Honda, you know everything is well engineered now that
they aren't buying airbags from Takata...

And without the farm and/or an rv to pull, this is clearly the most comfortable truck for a daily driver.

Now if only Acura made a version of the Ridgeline, with a saddle brown leather interior and a nicer grill.
Maybe even with an optional turbo V6 model with 50 more hp.
C'mon Honda, everyone else is doing this. Heck, almost half the new GMC pickups are Denalis. More profit
in the higher end.
But I'm pretty confident I will be happy with this choice since I've driven my friend's and they each have more than three
years on theirs. Only major downside for me is going from 27mpg to 20. That's a big drop.

Wouldn't it be fun to pop the hood of your truck for your buddies and there in its pristine orange 🚜
would be a straight six Kubota diesel. (y) I'd love to see a comparison test of Yanmar, Cummins and Kubota diesels
in the 300hp range. With about 500 torque. Not for a big tow rig but for a light to medium duty application.
And I'd like 25mpg please. End of dream.

now to go finish the rest of the seed planting. Being super careful not to make a mess in living room.
If I had a wife I'd be nagged constantly on this....been there, done this.

David, thank you. I try to put my phone in a shirt pocket but in summer sometimes no pockets and only shorts.
Don't want to look like I have a dinner plate in my pocket.

New toaster, mortar and pestle, meat thermometer with 12" probe, and o-ring for canister filter delivered.

Only thing left at the moment is the breadbox, which is due tomorrow ... (y)

So far, I've been using a breast pocket for the ProMax, except sometimes I use an inside breast pocket in a jacket if I'm wearing one. Come summertime, I'll probably use a cargo pocket on the shorts I usually wear. Only drawback there is the pocket tends to flop around a bit, since the phone is kinda heavy.

If you're a case user, the Otterbox Defender series is good, but it no longer offers any screen protection. I opted for one of the Otterbox anti-microbial glass screens, and had to warranty out the first one because the application fixture didn't align it properly. Paid better attention with the second on, and used high magnification to get it on just right, and it's been fine. FWIW.

Drew, congrats on the Ridgeline. I’m extremely pleased with mine. Mileage a tad less than the Pilot, but we don’t drive enough to make that much difference.

My iphone 12 Pro max is in 2 cases. One of those clear plastic things that fits into the wallet case. The wallet comes with one with a metal back which interferes with the non cable charging, so I switched it out. When home I just carry outside the wallet case and quite often that is in my shirt pocket.
Also have screen protector.

That's what got me with snagging the headphones cord getting off tractor.

Normally the phone would be in my left front jeans pocket ... but with the plug inserted into it for the headphones I'm not inclined to do that ... doesn't seem prudent ... ;)

Ended up going with clear Torras soft cases ($16 ea.) this time around, with Mkeke tempered glass screen protectors ($10 for a 3-pak) ... seem to be working well so far.

I know I've dropped my phone a number of times, and I'd bet The Woman has as well.

29/49 today, breezy, rain tomorrow.

Drew you should like that vehicle they remind me of a modern day four door Ute.
The front is a little more upright and bold, sort of like a Tacoma and not nearly as girly truck as the old front end. My old neighbor had one of the originals and she loved it.
For a daily driver and to haul mulch and such it’ll sure do the job.

Dr appointment this morning, then bought an iTunes card for my oldest grandson for his birthday coming up Saturday. He will be 12, I remember being 12, old enough to know better and too young to resist.
Finished getting my 2” receiver ready to weld on my bucket. I might get a deeper drop ball mount if this doesn’t suit. Sitting on the deck with Gracie right now soaking up the sun. A good feeling 49 until the wind blows.

We had corned beef and cabbage with baby potatoes, onions and carrots yesterday, man that was good eatin. Might have leftovers tonight, also have leftover nachos with ground beef, taco seasoning, salsa, cheese with guacamole and sour cream. Deciding is the hard part.

Ellen has a fan she uses to keep cool for multiple reasons, the side screws would vibrate loose and it would tip up and blow straight at the ceiling. She always kept it ratcheted at a certain angle, so this morning I popped the side covers, tightened the screws again then ran a locking screw through both mounts. No more ratchet but no more flopping.

I enrolled and they turned me down even though I have Afib, a stent and aortic valve replacement. No explanation, just sorry we can’t accept you but you can enjoy the other features of Heartline. I think I posted the email on here.

Randy, wife said I should remind you Wed is Corned Beef and cabbage day, yesterday was day after Pi. She was thinking tomorrow. We had a friend (now passed) that would have a Pi day party - fun. I would make my variation of Shepards Pie, beef not lamb.

That’s how I make it as well. I’ve never been a big lamb/mutton fan.
We did it yesterday to have Ellen’s dad down for dinner and to avoid it on a work day for Ellen.

There's at least 18 of them in that image ... but there are more in the rest of the tank as well.

You should try again. Sometimes a procedure too close to the request to join a study will be a disqualifier. I had to wait 2 years to get into the Century study.
