I bought a pair of Rain-x blades for my Ram for $29.95.
Yes, electricity cost us $47.8 million that week to our "Green Energy Town - First in Texas". It will add $10 monthly to everyones electric bill for the next 10 years. So my $80 electric bill this month should have been $1280.00 (and I don't have electric heat). Stay away from that green energy, it's very expensive.

Whatever happened to refillable wiper blades?
I just looked up the blades for my 2019 Escape at parts geek.
Prices ranged from ~$5.50 to $20 EACH BLADE but none came as "refillables".
I used to buy refillable strips for a fraction of the price of a full blade. And they were a LOT easier to store.

Why are none of the other TBN members in Texas reporting a $1280 electric bill for February?
I did my research. It proved my point- green energy is the most expensive electricity in Texas.I dunno ... maybe embarrassment ?
At any rate, it sounds like a good research project for ya ...![]()
I have a 23 1/2" blade and a 17 1/2" blade. They only come in full inches. Are all wiper blades actual length 1/2" short.Got my last pair of wiper blades at Costco...Michelin Guardian...right now they are $3 off, so $5.99 each. I've had them on for at least 6 months, maybe a year, through a lot of rain and I'm quite pleased...will pick up another pair next time my wife goes while still on sale.
I prefer a gen-u-wine 3M Aura 9205 Plus N95 Particulate Respirator Disposable Protective Mask that actually filters out 95% of CV19 sized particles. My last batch came from eBay seller globedrug, so they must be real, right?I prefer gaiters .. over masks. Just pull them up and down with one hand.
Good morning.
It’s 32 with a high of 45 and breezy with clear skies.
Tempest says we got 3/4” of rain yesterday, the Davis reported 0”, so I guess trouble shooting that is on today’s to do list. I was looking forward to the comparison, it’s the first rain event since I installed the Tempest. All other parameters track well between them.
Yesterday was spent mostly in the shop, but I did go to the auto parts store for wiper blades for the wife’s RAV4. I think that I’m one of those old guys that remembers buying gas for under a quarter a gallon, and was appalled to pay fifty bucks for a pair of wiper blades. I’ve adjusted to $3 a gallon gas, but the wiper blades caught me by surprise.
$600 was the full amount of the second stimulus check. Did anyone else get a letter?
Edit - I just saw on the post office e-mail that I'm getting a letter from the Treasury Dept today.
Me too. I used to buy boxes of refills and they were cheap. However, I priced some for my Honda the other day and at Super Cheap they are over $40 each! Oh well, they have lasted me since I bought the car in 2008 as it rarely rains here.Didn't fit into the planned obsolescence scheme ... IOW: bad for the bottom line (someone's ... but not necessarily your's)
I too was astonished the last I bought a set ... was upwards of $30 or $40 IIRC ...
I can remember selling Anco and Trico refills for like $3 or $4 ... per set ...![]()

Yep, we got a letter in mid-February saying we should get/have gotten that stimulus back on 1/1/21. The newer direct deposit hit the account 2 days ago.
Did you say 10 years to pay off the freeze?
