Morning, sun is out , grass is growing.
Got a few more new flowers put in pots, still need to find where wife wants new pine.
Got chip from game camera, works ok, lots of deer pics so far.

BEF - how far from mailbox to receiver? I have to go over 700' will the extender cover that?

Drew-no truck?? Seems your truck and our new fridge are having the same production issues. Also looks like rental/fleet car orders slowed a lot last year , that is a big market impact too.

Sodamo-I think 400 lbs would be a lot for any of us!

Kyle - took me years to get rid of previous owners bamboo. First cut to a little above ground, then roundup type stuff for 2 years, then tractor and toothbar to remove any active shoots and roots. all gone now, nasty stuff.

Mostly-good to hear wifes issues are not emergency and hope the medicine manages it well
Did not go to Dr. for o2 issue.

Paul-good on the 2nd shot. Birch for the speaker cabinet?

Stay safe and be well.

Only a matter of time before this starts to rattle the stock market.

I would say that there is some irrationality to the stock market. The wind blowing from the west might rattle the stock market. Add to that the distortion the Fed has introduced and it is hard to say what the market will do.

Awful lot of folks from this bank have been fired.

But not nearly enough. Criminal enterprise.

The extender uses Lora, that should go 700 ft. I’m thinking of getting another, just WiFi, and put sensors in series on all my barn doors. I have Ethernet in the barn, will need to add a WiFi AP in the barn.
This is the local unit that converts Lora to WiFi. You can put it anywhere as long as it gets WiFi and can receive the Lora signal.
I have it sitting inside on top of a very dusty UPS.

It’s a little cheaper to buy on Amazon than from myspool direct.

Letting people manage their own stock market portfolios has increased volatility, which is a measure of the emotion component of buy/sell decisions.

Chris, makes you feel good to see a tool brought back to life.
I was looking at the finished adjustable wrench and wondered what the other end
was used for, on a Volvo. Looks like a tool kit wrench that sat in water for a long time.

sitting here waiting for pain pill to kick in. Endodontist numbed me up quite effectively and did a great job.
Top of the line 3D xray machine and some kind of sterilizer machine that blew noisy hot air it seemed into my
bored out tooth for quite some time. Noise taught me to bring ear plugs next time.
Plus my shoulder was really uncomfortable and now I have the totally expected headache and neck ache.

I asked the guy when he was done if this was sort of an average job, taking just under two hours. He said yes.
Good. Then I gently asked him if I paid cash instead of credit card, could I get a break on the bill? I told him like Arnie
I'd be back because I know I need another one on the other side which I have put off. He was a good guy and took 300 bucks off the 1700 dollar bill.
Which means he was probably just charging me the normal insurance rate...
I left with a sore jaw and a slightly less sore wallet.

I wish I drank, I would sure sit at a bar and drink this away for awhile....
Instead, likely I'll go out and do a little weeding in the flower beds.

Sun and clouds out, very pretty day at the moment.

Roy, next time I go to state store to buy wine, I'll pick up a bottle, thanks.
I think my brother would enjoy it with his cigar if he comes over.

60F and partly cloudy @ 12:30, headed up to a high of 68F.

Spent most of yesterday working on paperwork, pulling past years' stuff out of the "Current" file folders in the filing cabinet and packaging it up in envelopes to be filed away in bankers boxes for deep storage, shredding stuff that doesn't need to be kept, separating out paper that can go to recycling, etc. Still a good bit more to do on that ... but probably won't get back into it until later this evening.

Did get fish fry/juveniles fed along with also cleaning the front glass on a couple tanks and vacuumed and did a pwc on the tank with the Super Reds in it. Also vacuumed one end of the upstairs tank and got the substrate spread out there. Have some fish I need to transfer into that tank as part of the permanent population from downstairs. Will feed all of the fish here in a bit.

Friend due over later for compost and sheetcake.

Probably work some more on weeding the planting bed with the lily splits in it.

Grass down here at the house is getting long enough that it could be cut again, but probably still too wet right now. Supposed be dry again tomorrow ... so will check it then and see whether I can run the Kubota over it without tearing it up too much.

Got an email from Surplus Center that the hubs had shipped, tracking says they are due to be delivered tomorrow.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

good morning all. Weather drying up a little, sunny and mid sixties today.
My day starts off with a root canal this morning and doesn't get much better.

got a letter from Wells Fargo and a legal settlement check for 34 dollars. Seems Wells Fargo was caught again in some
past misdeed, this time charging accounts with fees before they even opened. Cryptic explanation of
"we accessed service fees before you began using your account"

Awful lot of folks from this bank have been fired. It seems like they operated like gypsies from the Wild West for awhile, abusing their customers
with phony accounts and phony fees. I think best thing they could do is get bought out and change their name.

Part of Ellen’s retirement is with Wells Fargo, they are a PITA.

61 out now, probably be the high. Cloudy all day so far.

My son in law made a quick trip to Florida for some turkey hunting.

Haven’t gotten much done today. I drive Ellen to the orthopedic dr this morning for her knee. They don’t think it’s serious.

I’m behind on a bunch of stuff that I’m not motivated to do, but gotta do it anyway.

Ok, I'm going to talk medical. Do not turn it political.

The paradox of the J&J vaccine is quite strange (low platelet count which should cause bleeding but causes clotting instead). The platelets are being reduced but clotting happens sometimes causing blood clots and stroke. Finally found a case history where this has happened before the vaccine was put out. The question is: Is the vaccine causing a autoimmune reaction which destroys platelets? The platelets then release their chemicals which cause the clotting. (So far this has happened to only 6 women out of close to 7 million J&J vaccines)

I can’t answer your question but the incidence rate is extremely low and not definitely tied to the vaccine. Something like six cases out of several million doses.

6 women out of close to 7 million

one in a million
one thing if you're winning something, another if you're losing...

I got chewed out by a likely anti vaxxer at the car wash this morning, she/cashier was right up on
the latest news and said unequivocally that J&J vaccines gave you blood clots.
I don't care how few it was, one is too many.

Well ok, but life just doesn't work that way. Life has some risk, you simply can't engineer it out and only keep the good stuff...
I'm sure this will get studied carefully.

I hear the roar of lawn mowers. I think it's my guys two houses over.
Lawn is getting thick and deep in spots, time they came.
Really hard for me to not go out and buy a mower. But with my shoulder I'm simply out of business
for two months. It's ok, I've learned how to garden with one arm.

65 and full sun, I can watch the lawn shoot up from here.
Finished planting the beets, now will give the rest to friend who took my leftover seed potatoes.

Good morning to all! Low of 28 this morning, only going up to 61.... seems chilly!

My oh my, everyone has been busy! Took me a while to catch up.... now too much to remember to respond too....

I have still been battling the B/P issues.... nothing too extreme, but still a roller coaster of readings. I finally go to the cardiologist next week.

Ortho surgeon is very pleased with the healing process, says everything looks great, other knee (natural one) is in fantastic shape. He doubts that I will ever have any problems with it. That's nice to know.... I really don't want to deal with this again...
He said that I can stop PT if I wanted, or continue in an "easy mode".... stating if it starts swelling, I am doing too much. He still estimates another 6 months of healing....

We did bring up the subject of "post-op depression" with the surgeon..... yep , I hit 5 out of 6 markers.... just add that to the list of things to overcome. I am not the type to look at things negatively, so this is a real surprise to us.... I guess after 2 failed surgeries, and now a third that has stopped me in my tracks, it is expected. A tough battle to overcome, but I am tough.....

My boys have both stepped up to the plate helping out with anything they can, I really appreciate their help, but it is almost counter-productive, making me think about how limited I have become.... a vicious circle....

Enough with all that....

We are actually forecasted for a 40% chance of showers Thursday and Friday!
I hope it happens... been over a month since last precipitation. Our area was the "driest in the nation" last week. The humidity was at 2%... and a dew point of -10°.... yes, that dry!

On the tractor side, I was able to get a hydraulic side link setup. They were back ordered for a while. My son installed it for me to try it out, works great except for the cheap hydraulic fittings that came with it. No matter how tight, they still leak. I ordered some better quality ones, which arrived, but we still have to switch them out.

Drew, I ordered a 6'x8' greenhouse for the wifey.... should arrive next week. It only has one vent in the roof, then of course, the door. Do you think it will need more ventilation than that? I know you have some experience with cooking plants.... any suggestions?

I hope everyone has a great day! Prayers and thoughts sent to those needing. Mostly, I hope they can get your Mrs all fixed up!
