nice drive down to Milton DE, quiet afternoon, barbecue and then headed out to
concert in town square. I remembered my chair and will take my headphones if it gets too loud.
I'm looking out at ten foot tall corn, very pretty, plenty of rain here

If you're handy, there are a number of Youtube vids on troubleshooting and repair/rebuild of EGO batteries...

Did you see a specific video that replace all the batteries inside? I have not been able to find one or the price of the individual replacement batteries.

84F and partly cloudy @ 14:30, HI 88, headed up to a high of 86F. 43% chance of rain tonight, 87% chance tomorrow with a big cool down, with highs going back into the 70's for four days then up to low 80's.

Refilled hopper feeder, fed half of downstairs fish.

Got iris and hemlock unbagged and watered, also moved potted oak trees over with them and watered those well. Watered day lilies and hosta at southeast corner of house.

Moved pallet of lumber, grapple, and MMM up to the roadway on the second circle with the other implements.

Washed off and cleaned out 65 gallon spray tank and set it on a pallet and moved it around front. Also glued up the pvc fittings and valve for the drain except for one fitting which I was short.

Teflon taped the drain end and installed cap on second bed watering rig, also teflon taped the other end and installed the brass garden hose fitting.

Cleaned out Chapin and Scotts spreaders.

Raked out the last of the leaves and debris at southwest corner of house which should aid on the ground drying up there ... at least until it rains ... Hauled debris up to compost pile. Screened a few buckets of compost.

Emptied water buffalo and watered new hosta around large maple tree and brought water buffalo down to the house for valve retrofit.

Took Woman's car off charger and hooked battery back up and parked it out of the way. See that she went and got the oil changed which is good.

Need to work on getting soil on south side of pole barn fully compacted and graded today before rain heads in.

May try to get t-posts driven in for electric fence later once it cools off a little.

Hope everyone is having an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

That's good news on the string trimmer, Paul. How long does that single battery last?

Did you get the 36V blower? I almost have to use both hands when mine's on the highest setting...

Both the trimmer and the blower are 18v. I wanted to keep them simple and light, as I already have a Stihl hand blower and an 11hp Little Wonder push blower. Same for the trimmer, I’ve got a Honda 4 stroke trimmer that’s strong like an Ox for bigger jobs.
But the Makita cordless is great for grab and go, and is surprisingly capable.

Hope one of the limits you put on work is staying under $18,960 if you are on SSI. After that SSI with take $1 for every $2 you make.
Yes Sir I have that reminder you might say edge in stone. ;)

Randy, you and others are welcome to my RV pad.
Thanks Ron, it will probably be next year before we go that far. We will make a short trip semi locally, then the Outer Banks around Labor Day. The situation with Ellen’s dad is a bit confining for now.
Do know we appreciate the offer and do not be surprised if we show up there! Well, I might send a message first. LOL

Well, rain tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday. That won't stop me from working outside though, if it's not a deluge...if al else fails, Saturday looks good (so far)

Good news Roy!

I found out my carport promised for September back in June, is now scheduled for February. I checked around and found that’s pretty much the norm now. I think I’ll cancel and build a pole building.

Thanks Roy I found the information in the comments. The 5Ah battery has 28 cells ($5-$7 ea.) so to replace them the cost would be about 50-75% of a new battery, plus lead free solder and that special hollow center star screwdriver. With the three year warranty a new battery has, it's not worth it to me to try the experiment. If there was a fuse problem or 1 cell problem out of warranty I would try to fix it, but an old battery with worn out cells that runs good, but just for 15 minutes, just needs to be replaced.

I am temped to try replacing the 14 cells ($70-$90) on my old 2.5Ah EGO battery, but I would worry about not doing it perfect and it starting a fire while charging. But the first few times I could charge it in the middle of the garage or outside and check it's temperature . . .hmmmm.

Time to walk the Whip. A quick .02" rain has cooled it to 90˚F (HI-96).

Saw the show about FIL house, some of it was funny/made up (drama).
We met the couple who bought the house and they are really nice. Will have to stop by there sometime to say hi.
Really tough renovation for them, glad they are sticking with it. Many things we would not have done, but it's there house and we are so very happy they did no knock it down for something newer.
I can hear my wife commenting on everything in the other room, she grew up in that house.

Got a notice, from the insurance co., that they will no longer cover bodily injury or property damage caused by specific breeds of dogs:
Akita
Cane Corso
Chow Chow
Doberman
Dogo Argentino
Mastiff
Pit Bull
Presa Canario
Rottweiler
Staffordshire Terrier (all)
Wolf or Wolf Hybrids
trained guard or attack dogs
Animals with a history of biting
Or any animal deemed dangerous, vicious, or potentially dangerous under state statue.

Interesting. I've never heard of that. Apparently they've had lots of claims against the homeowner from being bitten by those breeds.
This has been a thing for many years. Home owners are supposed to tell their insurance company that they have one of these dogs, and are supposed to pay a higher fee. (I would suppose that very few people self report themselves)...so now the companies just blantantly tell all, that they don't cover these breeds.

mostly gas said, "Bird The birth certificate thing id for the RealID, I had to show birth certificate when I changed my licsence to Texas."

And MoKelly said,, "My guess on the birth certificate and/or passport is they want to give you the new Real ID that is needed for airplanes soon."

I'd agree IF it weren't for the fact that I got the so called Real ID thing on my old license.
Bird, those that get there early, are hoping for a "walk up" slot, but in Bryan, they'll let them in 1 at a time, but they make them wait behind all appointments. If you have an early appointment, you are allowed to cut the line in front of walk ups, to get to your appointment. It is a mess, and the paperwork they require now is crazy. Proof of address can be a utility bill in your name but if you are the spouse, and your name is not on the bill, you have to get a signed statement from the person who's name is on the bill that you live in the home. It took me and my daughter 3 tries. I was ready to blow up, but I calmly emailed the top person at the location and explained our plight after 8.5 hour dilemma spread over 3 waits. She personally came and got us to follow her to the rule. The 2nd wait was their fault, as their computers/internet stopped working just as we got to the person in the back.....Arghh. My daughter just needed a signed statement from her school, stating that she was a student there.

On my license, I just renewed online. I didn't expect the "gold star" license, because I didn't send in any additional paperwork, but when the plastic license arrived, it had the gold star on it. Surprise! I was ready to tell them "I remember showing my birth certificate to them in 1975!"

My work released a statement about Covid, masks are not yet mandatory, but they pleaded if you have any symptoms, stay home, go get checked. Self monitor. A friend got it, and just finished quarantining. Said the only symptoms were sore and achy muscles.

Mostly, hope the laptop gets patched. Hope the sniffles go away. I woke up last night with my nose running....pouring out. :(

Don, I have a friend that can do some repairs, and makes some side money on Prius batteries sometimes. He says it's usually just a small percentage of the batteries that are bad....like just a few.

Guy started on cutting the hay, but his old Massey has insufficient lighting to cut after dark.

First cup of coffee is cooling. 72° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 85° with rain in AM. Spent part of the day figuring out how I will put a foot rest on Mule for when someone is sitting in cargo box. Got it figured out. Now need to cut metal and weld together. With the rain today. Will be a good day to do laundry.
Been trying to catch Hummingbird at feeder all summer.
