Something tells me it's a little warmer where you are versus RS Ted.
Both of you pace yourselves.
Your place looks great, landscaping without a lawn, sure is different. But still lots of ways
to have color. Maybe paint those silver planters light blue, yellow, fun colors.
And a nice sign saying so many miles to Roswell...
It's a bit hotter here for sure.... and a lot drier! I have never seen humidity go higher than 80%.... and that was during a steady rain event a few years back. Yesterday, right after the thunderstorm, humidity went up to 65% from 40% prior to the storm.

Good thought on painting the planters..... I will have to run it by SWMBO.
HEY! Wait a minute..... you're trying to create more work for me!😲

I think it swells more than it should.... surgeon isn't concerned though.

Wow! Lake Oroville looks sad, I'm assuming that is "up river", but still. Y'all need rain desperately.

Ron, great pics, I almost thought I saw frost at first on the asparagus.

LS, it is glad to hear back from you. I'm guessing you only gave us the reader's digest version, but prayers for your knee and family situations.

HPX update: Just ordered a new fuel pump made by Facet purolator Posi-Flow, rebadged as a Holley. About 1/2 price of a stock unit, maybe a bit noisier when motor is off but don't do that often. It has 1.5-2.5 psi pressure. Says it is engineered to last 6000 hours. Hope it lasts. I also ordered replacement water pump gaskets from JD.

Roy, I really like that price! Hope it works out great for you. Let us know. I'm looking at the 2" receiver tube, and it looks like it could use some shoring up, if you ever had to lift a really heavy hitch load. For example, when I go get mushroom compost on my 16' trailer, and I need to dump it like a dump trailer. I would use the hitch and FEL to lift the trailer's front end high into the air to let the compost slide down, then pull the trailer so that all the compost would offload.
I don't think I'll be using the receiver hitch, but one never knows.
Looking at it though, probably could use some gusseting.
Check out the YouTube vids for this pallet forks...one complaint I've heard on more than one of the videos is the quality of the welding. However, for my usage, this item should be OK.
Initially, I was going to get one from Deere...but theirs is about $300 more, plus they're out of stock

59° right now...high in the lower 70's and clear (no rain) for the next week. That's probably a good thing as the ground is saturated. We had water come in around the sewer pipe (goes to the septic tank) last night. I've never seen that before....didn't last long (maybe 5-6 minutes), but I'll check for any damage and use the shop vac to clean up when the stepdaughter wakes up

Hot coffee taste good this morning. 59° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 76° with partly cloudy skies. Did mostly conserve energy yesterday. Lawn needs cutting again. May get to that today.
Early morning flower.

good morning all
Nice cool morning in high 50's, quite a change and a sunny day in low 80's today.
Just about perfect.

off to PT, then gas for car, food shopping, then trip to local orchard to buy a home made peach or apple pie to take to a
friend's house for dinner tonight. Probably will spend time chopping up and putting away a dozen ripe tomatoes.

Thanks for posting that, David. My county is ranked High. No wonder, with about a 50% vaccination rate.

Delta is said to have a much higher infection rate, but it doesn't appear to be any more deadly, in large measure because of the new therapies available, and lower impact to those that have been infected before or had the vaccination already. What hasn't been pointed out is that those that have chosen not to get vaccinated also chose to accept a higher risk of severe complications and death should they get CV19. Bad decisions lead to bad outcomes. Why should those that have already been vaccinated have to go back to wearing masks to protect those that have chosen not to protect themselves?
In Virginia, >99% of new cases are folks that aren't fully vaxed, and they make up 100% of the hospitalizations and deaths.

Is your 50% vax rate of the entire county population, or just the eligible aged group? I see it reported in several different ways.

64-84 today.
Cookout went off without any real hitches, the forecast as late as 11 had heavy thunderstorms with strong gusty winds and an inch of rain. We got .25” early morning and by noon the sun was shining brightly.
We ended up with 16 people and had a great day.
Today I can celebrate my real birthday by taking my FIL to his place to mow several acres of tall grass.
69 sounds old to me but I don’t think that way, it just feels normal.

My son repaired my deck light that was damaged when the awning fell, been dangling for two months, but I’m not allowed on ladders anymore. He saw it and asked me where I kept my screws and went to work. He’s a good son. I wish I could do more of that stuff, but it is what is.

Kyle, good luck on the Gator fix.

Have a good all.
