71 going up to low 80's today in overcast, showers and then thunderstorm
Looks like most of us on East Coast will get a good dunking from this storm system coming through.

my youngish helper stopped over to show me his new jet ski.

In the early 2000’s I had four skis, I bout a pair of Sea Doo’s and I never had one to ride, I bought a Kawasaki and the kids still ended up gone with them. I finally bought a bigger Sea Doo and I forbade them to touch it, I finally had a ride when I wanted it. But although it was fast, it only had 180 h.p.

70F and mostly cloudy @ 22:00, rain has moved out but may be back late tonight or tomorrow. Calling for a low of 69F.

Got most of the west side rolled and was just starting on the east when the threatening clouds rolled in. Woman got back with the fuel right as that was happening.

Unloaded the fertilizer and concrete out of the van and got that stowed away on a pallet in the garage.

We cleaned up the last of the ham and bean soup and cornbread for dinner ... and agreed it turned out very good.

Just spent the last hour or so getting a matt off of the big orange cat's neck. He growled some but kept his claws to himself ...

Likely finish up rolling tomorrow and then start on the coring.

If you have limestone quarries buying lime in bulk might save you money

Good idea.

I've done a little bit of looking for sources of bulk ag lime but so far haven't come up with anything close by in the area.

Likely to be an ongoing issue, so I'll continue to look.

Bike ride and dog sitting to start this morning, then finish front mowing. Trip to town for pharmacy, truck wipers, and groceries. did get nap in, and some more configuring on new computer

Good evening.

Got garage door opener problem figured out. It was a bad control board. Ordered new board and it should be here on Friday. Cost was $65.00.

I was worried that a replacement board would not be available as the unit was installed in 2007. But, no problem. Lots were available online.

So, hopefully the new board will go back perfectly (and easily) and I’ll be back in business by Friday evening.

Unfortunately, the alarm is now acting up and sporadically deciding to quit communicating with the alarm company. Not always, just now and then. When it decides to take some time off, the alarm company gets a code error and calls.

I know zero about alarm keypads so this will need to be a service call.

Oh well. Such is life and electrical stuff.

Well, decided it's time for a dog...so, adopted a rescue, Margeaux

She's got a bad paw (right front) which was a birth defect...but looks to be a sweetheart.
Per the rescue organization, she'll be here on the 28th of August
