Alien, hope wifey and you heal up.

Randy, great news on the "gone" tumor.

BEF, hard to get anything done with a kitty on your lap.

RS, let us know how the cultivator works out.

RNG....willing to drill a huge hole (not really) for fast internet.... :)

Rich, sounds like a possible good source of knowledge, and a new friend. I'm "jones-ing" for some flat track. They need to have some more races this time of the year IMO. But what do I know....I'm only a fan. Did you go to the same races that Estenson went to? Seems like Honda and KTM are throwing the big money and support at the 450 class now.

It looks like I might be jumping ship very soon. Going to be hard to do. Mostly for better/cheaper benefits, retirement, 10 minutes time shaved off of each ways' trip. You guys help me end my first sentence of my announcement to management....I'm looking for a word to finish this sentence...give me a serious one, and a funny one if you want. "After 13 ____________ years, with great _______________, I have decided to turn in my notice." Or something like that. I really do like my job, and don't want to burn any bridges....

Prayers for You guys who have sickness/pains, for rains to put out the forest fires, the US of A, and Ukraine.

G'nite those stateside, G'morning down under.

After 13 blissful years here in wonderland, it is with great reticence that I turn in my notice.

Or to quote Ren and Stempy;
Happy happy joy joy, happy happy joy!

Good Morning!!!! 69F @ 5:00AM. Partly cloudy skies this morning will become overcast during the afternoon. High 77F. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph.
Weather guesser on the TV last night was bubbling about rain over the weekend, but WU isn't calling for any. Yet. It is showing 0.04" for Monday, not really enough to even knock the dust down. Any more than that, though, could make a slippery motorcycle ride on my return from Monterey.

Seems like I've run into the same issue with garage door springs, Billy. None at the usual hardware outlets that carried them, where I've been able to buy them before. Something about liability insurance not wanting to take the risk letting handymen do their own installations. Ended up biting the bullet and hiring a garage door repairman to do the job.

Well it seems that my little six foot bar and inclineometer agree pretty well with the fancy laser level, and the last hundred feet of the "driveway" are still registering around a 15% grade. That's down from 20%, which is an improvement, but not what I'd hoped for. There's a rock outcropping near the top that could well put an end to further excavation, so today the dozer and backhoe will have a go to see how much deeper, if any, they can dig into it.

The flail delivery went off very smoothly, with the driver calling 30 minutes before his arrival and showing up right on time. He had no trouble flipping around in the cul-de-sac, and I was able to fork it out of the back without issue. Had to come at it end wise, which made it a bit tippy on the forks, so once I got it on the ground I went at it from the side and we enjoyed a cautious ride down the drive to the garage. That's where confusion reared its ugly head, as it came with two pamphlets of instructions, and two sets of hardware, one for the regular flail, and one for the side shift attachment. Unfortunately, they weren't labeled as such, and the photos were tiny and very blurred, such that they were almost useless. And with almost no words to explain anything, I ended up using the wrong hardware, and now have to take it all off again. That's OK, I guess I need the exercise laying on my back reaching way up under the deck of the thing and working by feel...

Off to town for groceries today, but will be meeting the contractor at the junk yard in hopes of finding a piece of pipe to mount the new satellite dish. He's looking for more pipe to build corners for a fencing project. Who knows what else will find its way onto his trailer.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

Good morning! 74˚F heading to the 80s, cloudy. It will be an interesting weather day with the wind from the South, West, North, East, and then from the South again. 80% chance of some rain. We did have lightning and thunder and .07" rain at 12:30 am.

I guess the weather people got enough attention with their 100˚F on the map here for this weekend, they have lowered it to a tolerable 99˚F, not as impressive.

Alligators are very active in the neighborhood. One person in our WFPB group was exposed and started feeling like she had allergies but tested negative with the home test. She went to the DR. and also tested negative. When she still felt bad this week she went back to the DR. but this time tested positive (fully vaccinated). Another person my wife sat next to in Spanish class also has it. It's getting closer and closer. The counties reported are only in the 20s to 30s each day. Every time we hear of another one they all have been fully vaccinated and symptoms are mild.

Kyle have you thought of what counter offer the old company would give you that would entice you to stay?

Happy Birthday to "The Woman"! That is an interesting battery cultivator. Do the vertical blades go back and forth?
I see now that EGO makes one also but the traditional style - tines goes round horizontally.

Happy Cinco de Mayo, otherwise my wife would be taking French lessons instead of Spanish.

If there is a 50/50 chance of doing something the wrong way 90% of the time I have to redo it. I guess we both overthink.

Good Morning
It’s 58 and going to almost 70 today with no rain.

Yesterdays trip to Sarasota went well even with all the Thunderstorms along the way. We were at 45,000 feet above all of them.

Today is off to pick up another plane.

I get to ride in the back

60°. Calling for over 2” of rain starting tonight into Sunday. Not planning on doing much the way I feel.
Got dentist appointment later, the antibiotic starting to work, not as much tooth pressure pain. Maybe it’s the Tylenol working. Do have a slight headache also, and hurts some to swallow.
I will probably do another home test tomorrow.

Neat the cat watching the cat show.

Happy Birthday Mrs. RS!
Once we got to Menards and got things exchanged and loaded up, we walked up front and had a look at an battery-powered electric cultivator that The Woman had expressed an interest in:

Screen Shot 2022-05-04 at 19.35.58.png
She doesn't like using the Stihl FS 66 (as a cultivator or a string trimmer) - claims it is too heavy, hard to start (for her) and it is kind of long, given her short stature.
Outstanding gift! Egg Beater for mulch.

53°F and rain this morning, going up to 63° today. Looks like we'll get more rain most of the day, then boomier stuff tomorrow.

Funny you should mention hot sauce, L4N. When I got home from work a couple days ago, I opened the refrigerator door and noticed that something in one of the small upper shelves seemed to be leaking. When I picked up the bottle of Frank's at the front, the entire contents rushed out of the bottomless bottle into the shelf. Fortunately, it was contained, and the removable shelf was easily cleaned. I can only guess that one of the other bottles bumped it just right and found a weak spot on that bottle. A terrible waste of my favorite hot sauce.

Kyle, we celebrate Sinko de Miracle Whip at our house.

Drew, a local FM radio station here runs a variety of funny tag lines as a part of their hourly station IDs. The one that never fails to make me chuckle is, "97.5 The Rock! We have plenty of youth. Is there a fountain of smart?"

Or maybe that stuff just ate through the bottom of the bottle? :ROFLMAO:

Good morning to all! Low of 41°, going up to 78°.... broken record.... The winds have calmed down a bit overnight, just light breezes now. Conflicting forecasts, some say more strong winds, some say just breezes.... I guess I will find out soon enough!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to Mrs. RS. Hope she has an enjoyable day.

RNG, I had guessed the Betsco when you mentioned coming from Oregon. I purchased my 72" finish mower from them. Couldn't beat the price! I was surprised at how well built it was for the cost. I have been eyeballing one of their chippers.
I have read other buyers of the flails complaining of the instructions too. Must be a translator issue... and poor photography budget!

Alien, I hope that your arm is able to get fixed up.... and the wifey can find out what's going on. Hopefully the O2 generator will help with the issue.

Kyle, I would give you a suggestion on how to word your resignation, but those type of words can't be posted here.....😮
I'm sure you will be diplomatic..... if they do counteroffer, make the best of it.

Drew, enjoy the garden planting.... a nice way to relax while working... isn't that an oxymoron?

Not sure about the agenda for today, just gonna take it as it comes....

Everyone have a great day!

M101CDN2 trailer drawbar Left side.jpg

I would say that the frame is a little rotten. This trailer just cost me a Skil angle grinder. When I stopped a few minutes ago the grinder was smoking.
New Z-turn is here so I will jump on it and see what kind of damage I can do with it.

66°F and 1.16 inches rain. Considerably dryer LOL. Raining as I type.

According to TV surf is also up. Over 100 rescues yesterday.

Need to make a garbage run today.

Also making a dessert to take to H&F later.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Kyle, while any of my thoughts pale in comparison to those posted I have no doubt what you finally write will be heartfelt and appropriate. Best wishes for your decision.

Bill, what a mess, wear good glasses, don't want any of that junk in your eye...

good one PJ.

I kept at it, two straight hours of planting at my friend's home, got five 30 foot rows done. Snap peas, green beans, yellow beans, lettuce, radishes
Next week we finish with squash and beets.
Lot of rain coming in tomorrow, perfect timing.

I'm really sore, getting into shower to get the garden off me and then head out to CVS across the river in Lambertville to get my gator shot.
Need to get 5 gal can of gas filled for mower. I"ll put Plus in both, even though the car calls for premium. It runs fine on a little less, but I usually put premium
in it. If I get 5 percent less power because I use Plus, fine with me. Not like I use all the power now anyway. Very coarse feeling four cylinder with a bunch of torque and weird
noises because it has both a turbo and a supercharger. My old Jag XJR had a supercharger and a marvelous sound, you let it rev out if only to hear the music.
This supercharger is buried in there somewhere, you really can't hear it, and is powerful but not overly smooth.
And it sounds non automotive, like some appliance growling...
23.2 mpg around town and holding.
For an awd suv, not too bad, my Outback did better but that was a smaller car. The Volvo feels like
a tank compared to the Subaru. But the Volvo has better steering feel. Subaru was squishy where the Volvo turns in quickly.

when one has a really bad neck that hurts every time I hit a bump. the ride of one's car becomes more than just a luxury.
My Jag and my Ram truck both had full airbag suspensions. No wonder all the expensive cars have pneumatic or electronically controlled suspensions.
With cameras looking forward looking for road conditions, potholes. The road outside my home is a PA state road, locals don't maintain. And boy does PennDot stink.
Across the street is the highway maintenance dept for the local township, and they get rattled around on the potholes too, right in front of their office. They have been known to
help with the worst of it. Bad during the day, dangerous and expensive at night. Those of you in the South don't have to deal with this, good thing.

Morning all, 55 going up to 73 and cloudy. Wet out.
Need to cut the grass, but too wet. Lucky it's my left foot that is messed up so don't need it to mow (always look on the bright side of life).
Dad and girlfriend are still here and their aligator test came back negative so they are off today to their cruise.

toppop - hope all ok and this is just a temporary thing
Alien - hope Leslie feels better- winter blues? hope O2 generator helps. Can they do anything to help with your arm?
Happy Birthday Mrs. RS!

Stay safe and be well,
Thanks Ken.
First Dr I went to said they couldn't do much with my arm. Maybe a sling would help. I looked up the problem on the internet and several sites suggested an op was necessary, however in the real world they don't seem that interested. I'm going to my normal Dr on Tuesday to see what he says. The guy that did the scan said that sometimes they can fuse the muscle back on but it wasn't always successful. Looks like I may have to live out my days with it.
Oxy generator will be here next week for Lesley. I live in hope.
