102 fever nothing to fool with for us spring chickens...
Feel better soon Buppies and Mrs Buppies.

my arm has a nice itch going. Thinking that means number three had worn off a bit and number four had some reaction, even at half dose.
I've had worse reactions from other shots. I'll take every shot they can give me, particularly now after chemo.

too soon to see if happy pill is helping hearing. I really don't feel anything from it and sure no change in tinnitus.
I'll try for two weeks and then see. Am hoping bite guard I get next week helps also.

really want to get out there and plant my new plants but it's coming down pretty good now and the lake is growing.

Good morning to all! Low of 45°, going up to 82°. Sunny and calm right now, but the wind is supposed to start around noon. No rain in the 10 day.... not even a little chance...

I wish we would get some rain totals like the ones being posted.....

Don, I would believe that 99° predicted temp.... Roswell and Carlsbad NM were forecast for 102° today. Way too hot for this time of year! Make sure you take it easy out on the trail work.

Drew, you posted yesterday that your first hummer arrived. When I was closing up the shop late yesterday, I spotted a hummer checking the empty shepherd's hook..... filled the feeders and hung them up. This morning, there were 2 of them fighting for territorial rights already.

Kyle, good to hear you received an official offer. Too bad it didn't come a little earlier in the day. A tough decision to switch jobs. Good luck on the new adventure! Hope the new (to you) mini-tiller works out. I never noticed that the small tillers have different styles of tines.

Buppies, hope you and the Mrs get better soon! Fevers are not good....

Toppop, have fun on the demolition derby.... I mean Beltway.... Hopefully traffic won't be too bad on a Saturday morning.

Time to get out and play with the pond liner......

Everyone have a great day!

53F and cloudy @ 09:45 but starting to lighten/brighten up outside, high of around 60F for the day.

Forecast had originally called for rain all day today, but they revised it last night to chance of rain in the morning and clearing out with partly cloudy skies in the afternoon. An indication that the system is moving through here faster than they expected.

No idea whether that faster movement will hold up as it heads further east.

Very excited by what's in the Ten Day: next six days are showing basically 0 percent chance of rain with warming into the low to mid-80's by this coming Wednesday.

Good prospects for getting a lot done outside.

Woman's string trimmer is on the UPS truck, "out for delivery" ... (y)

Not sure what all I'll dive into today, but finishing up the maintenance on the last two boxes of whiteworms is one thing that is definitely on "the list" for this morning.

Two other things for some point are getting a sheet cake baked and venturing out to the flower bed around back to cut some tulips and daffodils for a bouquet, both for The Woman of course ... ;)

Did notice there was one kind of sad looking orange left out on the counter last night ... so I might have to see if I can rig up some sort of holder for that, to see if I can attract that oriole back.

Getting the new frame for the soil screener screwed together should be another item that will be fairly easy to get crossed off the list.

May go ahead and get the order placed for the landscape fabric for the garden, since it will probably take a week or so to get here.

Hope Roy is doing ok, unusual not to hear from him for several days.

Otherwise hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe Saturday ... (y)

49° wind is picking up but only a 9 mph peak.

LS wish I could send some wet stuff. Too much for us. 3.9”.

Kyle, good luck with job decision.

I have more work being transferred to me as work lets another person go for lack of work. Still waiting to see how some things play out.

Unusual for Roy, hope he is ok.

Good morning!!!! 56F @ 8:30 in Monterey, CA. A mix of clouds and sun, with gusty winds developing this afternoon. High 58F. Winds NW at 20 to 30 mph.

Came down yesterday to meet a friend for the weekend. Walked down to Cannery Row, holy mackerel, what a tourist trap! Ticky tacky little shops selling candy, trinkets, t-shirts, and who knows what, all stamped with Monterey this or that. Did enjoy some magnificent Monterey cypress trees on the walk, and a tasty bread bowl of clam chowder on the warf, though. Very nice weather, with the fog staying off the beach, lots of sunshine, and cool breezes.

Not sure what's on for today. We stopped by the Monterey Aquarium, but large signs outside said reservations must be made online to get in. Business must be pretty good to erect that kind of hurdle.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

it's raining
it's pouring (it is)
the old man's apple blueberry muffins are soaring

well good anyway. These are my "healthy" ones where I take a box mix, which since it's a Krusteaz has more flour in it than sugar, and then extend the flour
amount by at least half again with whole grain blended baking flour. Cup of minced apples, cup of blueberries, apple sauce, vanilla, cinnamon, comes out less sweet than regular box muffins.
I remembered to order more flour, got gluten free this time. Muffins headed to church tomorrow. Because it's Mother's day and also our monthly business meeting day, business meeting starts at 8:30am, I have to be there by 8 to make sure zoom works.

whole house smells so nice, just polished off one of those muffins, no lunch for me, and time to chill as the rain keeps coming down.

Do you all have your Mother's Day plans made?

drainage ditch aka lake in making is working its way over to raised veggie gardens.
Am looking out my window planning where I want those willows.

RNG, that aquarium sounds familiar, like a place on a prior rv trip agenda. Is it well known?

I hope Bird's wife has an extra nice Mother's Day.
All those years of putting up with him... ;)
Delightful to spend so much time on earth with the one you love.

My mom died at age 51 when I was 21. Dad at 66. I'm now 72, grateful to make it this far and grateful
for all the help along the way.

Get your kisser ready for Mother's Day.

66°F and .30 inches rain and raining. At least the wx has been consistent all week. Only the volume varies. Sun would be nice.

My generator has gotten a decent workout, running daily. Even the periods when the rain stops the cloud cover is too thick and we are deficient of solar PV production, meaning we use more electricity than produced by the sun. Most days a single 2 hour run is sufficient. Mine is set to run automatically when the battery State of Charge drops to 30% and terminates at 45%. Technically I could run down much lower (20% without impacting warranty) and terminate much higher (100%) but this is my sweet spot where I hope to get to next sunny period

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Pond is all fixed and filled! The birds are already getting drinks. Nice to hear the waterfall trickling over the rocks. Soothing to say the least. Now if I can only find the big fan creating the wind and switch it off..... It would be nice to sit on the porch and just listen to nature.

River is flooded. Ran into town to get sour cream for wife to make beef stroganoff for supper.

Forgot about car needing oil change.

??? ROY ???...hope your getting caught up on your rest.
Had a stroke Thursday evening. Lost the right leg (which also had limited functionality as a result of the stroke in 1999)
Most came back, including the leg, within a couple days. Still have a bit of dizziness.
I'll be using a wheeled walker for a while, and prohibited from driving until a doctor say's I'm OK to drive. Couldn't find the laws concerning driving after a stroke, but knowing Vermont, I'm sure there is.
So, I'm back catching up on the TBN forums!

44F It has been raining since daybreak yesterday. Pretty soggy out. It is May the grass needs mowing.

Roy, Hope you continue to improve.(y)

About the reservation thing, last summer you had to pay online for a reservation to drive up Cadillac mountain in Acadia National Park. great view if the weather is nice. Nice revenue stream for the Park which I think is way underfunded.

Come on Spring

Chris
