Good early arvo. It was -1.0C this morning with a frost and heading towards a high of 16C. Clear sky and basically calm.

I had a 'discussion' with Penelope (the cat) last evening regarding keeping an upstairs door closed IOT retain heat. She ended up giving me a swat on the tip of my nose, which drew blood. I reciprocated with a couple of (gentle) swats of my own... all was 'forgiven' by bedtime, and the door has remained closed to this moment.

It's a sliding door and I'll probably end up attaching a latch.

Take care all.

Good morning, low temp 55 and going to a high of 68°F. Wind N 8 mph. Mostly cloudy.

I got the mower back last evening, $389.oo. His labour rate including pickup and delivery is only $95.oo/hour. I am just waiting for daylight and will cut the grass. I would have preferred a little stiffer breeze than 8 mph. But beggars cant be choosers.

Wagtail, if you install a latch on the door, you will have to teach the cat how to close and latch it behind her. Good luck with that. :ROFLMAO:

mostly_gas, I feel that other than the weather (for comparison) I don't bring much to the table.

Have a safe day all

56° right now...high about 70 today. Damp and chilly, right now...

Mostly, yes, I am still working from home. I can drive as of next Monday and I do want to go on-site (at work) for 3 days a week

Writing about work, quite a few folks are out on business trips or vacation. Not much planned for today

Looking4new
Well, as soon as I saw your post I looked up and the sliding door was open. so I walked up to close it and she walked through it before I could. So I closed it behind her and am now waiting for her to plaintively meow to be let out.

Looks like the latches (there are two different sliding doors) are going on tomorrow... I simply can't waste heat going into two unoccupied upstairs bedrooms.

69 high close to 90 then cooling off weekend and next week

Prayers for all

good morning all
blue sky out now but not for long, more thunderstorms due in this afternoon. High of 80 today, .65 inches of rain last night.

busy day, landlord coming this morning, then an afternoon out with elderly MIL.

Bill, thank you. That's the older broken camera. I need to watch the review on the new one.

marvelous looking strawberries

new camera lot larger than older Canon, which has some focus issues.
Ordered a 55mm UV filter for Panasonic, plus now I have a tripod to mount it on.
Will have to sit quietly outside to see if I can get a Ron-worthy picture.

set new camera on IA, intelligent automatic, which is the fancy term for point and shoot.
It has quite a lens on it, 60X zoom and stabilization. Haven't found the button for that yet. Lot of
pictograms that mean absolutely nothing to me.
Is that the Panasonic LUMIX G85 4K Digital Camera?
Looks pretty nice!!

54F cloudy 70 for high good soaking rain over night.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...this morning also take weed trimmer for short walk, afternoon dump run and 2 critter food stops.

Enjoy your day all.

Is that the Panasonic LUMIX G85 4K Digital Camera?
Looks pretty nice!!
No. That's a much more expensive DSLR, pretty sure, this does not have interchangeable lens. DC-FZ80
my skill level seems to max out around a 300 dollar camera. Anything more would be a waste for me; I don't have the skills or patience to fiddle with all the settings.
4k 30 frames per second. My friend who videos boats at inlets records in 4k 60 frames per second. I haven't done video before, happy with pics. This is not a new model and is fairly bulky but easier for me to hold. Lens is Lumix DC Vario 1:2.8-5.9/3.58-215 ASPH Perhaps someone can translate that

Roy, I think today's inexpensive cameras far exceed most of our abilities, certainly mine, and I've been taking pics all my life.
Started off as yearbook photographer in 11th grade. Double reflex Yashica. All those rolls of film, and those proof sheets you looked at
with a magnifier. Now it's so simple to take good pics. It's the shooting into the sun part most cameras have problems with and why I wanted the ability
to use a polarizing filter on the new camera. And my current camera would not focus up close which I wanted for flowers. Pretty sure camera got dropped and was never
the same afterwards.

I posted a pic of two sailboats out in the ocean off Charleston. I could hardly see them with my own eyes. But zoom in, and zoom in clearly, and all of a sudden there is
a new memory. Like you had zoom eyeballs....
As I get older and likely shakier, figured I needed a small tripod also. That plus stabilization should make for good pics.

I don't think I've ever seen any of my pics show up somewhere I didn't expect, good thing, so very confident TBN keeps them internally. Thanks to the Boss for that

Good morning! 74˚F cloudy. The wind will change from the prevailing southerly gulf breeze to a northerly breeze at noon. Our chance of rain goes up and the temps are predicted to only get up to the upper 80's. May was a record hot month for us and only 1.5" rain in the month that is supposed to be our wettest.

This morning I was going to take Mom to get her booster but they only give it on Wednesday near her and I missed that opportunity. Will try again next week. I did manage to call my town's pharmacy and get an appointment an hour later for myself yesterday. Sore arm today. My neighbor thinks he might have covid after coming back from a Baltic cruise and one of the people in his group had to stay in Europe because of a positive covid test.

This morning I'll start planting my Summer garden. I'll see what plants look good in the green house. This week they are on sale because they will be shutting down for the Summer on Saturday. FireWise has also taken the Summer off because of vacations but mostly because of the heat. A few of the retired people in the neighborhood head to a cooler state in July and August. The opposite of what Ron used to do.

Drew no translation here but we have a photography club that could.

Morning all, lots of boom, boom thunder last night. More rain on call for today.

Went to a band banquet/awards dinner for the son at a country club, sucks not being able to eat anything, but good to see the kids have fun.
New Fridge is in and working fine. Installers were able to use the cutoff valve I installed so the install went quick.

Wagtail - Cat fighting ?
Sodamo - If I told my wife not to go someplace on the property, that would probably be the first place I'd find her

L4N - safe travels and check in every now and then with your adventures.

Drew - sure 3.58-215 is not 35.8-215 zoom? I used to work on a camera that had a 6 foot zoom lens. Needed a plane to carry it.
200 is decent for distance and anything below 50 is wide angle.
I still have my original, all manual, 35mm film Canon A1 lying around somewhere.
If you want to learn more on speed,f-stop, DOF etc. Let me know. It's been a while, but I used to do a lot of photography and worked on spy cameras for the military back in my 20's.

Stay safe and be well,

/ Good morning!!!! #150,838
Don and Ken, thank you. Ken, number is correct. On top of lens it says 20-1200
Panasonic has used Leica's fixed lenses; have no idea who makes this
IA setting for intelligent automatic sounds about my speed

/ Good morning!!!! #150,839
I still got film in an old Konica camera. Have a couple lens, up to 200, but with a 2x attached it makes it a 400. But, need good lighting.

I just use my iPhone any more. Still got a couple canon POS cameras and a nice digital camcorder I no longer use.

Was told Dad fixed the electric wire, put a piece of barbed wire around it to hold it on.

73° and 90% humidity. Not much on radar yet.

Guess I better head towards work.

nice try bozo, and brush up on your English

I want to know how an empty pail can have at least 6 inches of water in it after we had .68 inches last night.
I walked out and saw the pail and wondered how this happened
lawn is a weedfest
