Good Morning.
57 and going up about 20 degrees today under clear skies.

Yesterday was a nice day here, raining hard in Concord with low clouds, but we were in and out pretty quickly, back into the sun on top of them.

When I got home, had to deal with 300lbs of grain that wife bought at a “good deal” in torn bags. Then got to work on the mailbox.
Hardware from Amazon arrived, so I fit the box to the post, drilled the holes and bolted it together.

Still haven’t cut out the numbers for it, I’m thinking that I’m only putting the number, no other graphics. The old one had an alpaca on it, but years ago I made a sign for the end of the lane. That mounts the same way, a base set in concrete with a flange that the sign bolts to. That post is only 2” schedule 40 pipe, the sign itself is high density urethane with the details sandblasted, and painted.

You can see the base for the mailbox in the lower left of the picture.

I’ve got to get going, headed back to Concord to pick up the person I dropped off yesterday, should be back before lunch time.
Outstanding Pop. (y)

fun discussion of RC planes. When I owned the local Radio Shack, sold a lot of RC cars, but not planes.
sounds like a really fun hobby. Amazing pics on youtube of folks making huge RC planes, very sad when they don't land
the way they hoped for.

If you guys take pics of your favorite planes, bet that would be fun.

54 perfect morning temp...going to 83.

Prayers for your surgery, Buppies, and for your son, Toppop...we use dinner and supper interchangeably now, but if grandma in NC was making Sunday lunch, it was Dinner, with a capital D.

After getting a rain, was able to till a couple of food plots and plant sunflowers, buckwheat, and sorghum. While I had my tractor parked in the shade to pour seeds into my hand spreader, my wife walked down the hill to let me know she was going over to see her mom. While talking, I noticed two lug nuts missing from my left rear tractor wheel. The others were loose. Gee, after 18 years and 1350 hours, didn't expect that...especially with the heavy duty lock washers used.

So, tightened those that were left, and headed to Hoober Kubota to pick up new ones...they had 1 in their entire network of stores, fortunately at this store...the parts salesman was very helpful, and ordered some from Kubota for me...I installed the one I bought and finished two more hours of work while missing one.

I have more to do, but will wait until Monday (hopefully) after picking up the last lug nut I need. I've checked these lugs before, even with a torque wrench, but not recently...all the other wheels were good. Strange. Might want to take a look at yours in case these is some kind of lug nut disease going around.

Reminds me that when getting the truck tires rotated and balanced every 5K miles, Costco states: re-check the torque after 25 miles. Wonder how many people do that.

Good morning! 76˚F heading to 102˚.

100s every day for another 10 days, however one day next week it might only top out at 99˚. Arrg.
I asked my mom today if she remembers 100˚ days when she was growing up in central Texas. She said there were a few single days that hit 100˚but never this many in a row.

I should wash the truck this morning after the road trip to mom's yesterday quite a few flying bugs met their demise. She got her 4th alligator shot.
