Those class 8 electric trucks might be okay for terminal to terminal work within about 500 miles and then plug them in overnight to recharge them, but in the work I do they would not work.

My M101CDN2 (M416 in the US) is now back on its' wheels. Only broke one light flipping it over. To be expected.

Checked out the gen set not starting the other day and I have determined that it is either the plug (original 8 years ago) or the low oil sensor. I will disconnect the low oil sensor first and try that... Tomorrow.

It was nice and sunny today, a little breezy but sunny. What a welcome change from a week of rain and mostly cloudy sky s.

All pallets of “stuff” moved out of barn except for one. Stuff going into the shop is staged up there until I can clear a place for it (maybe tonight), rest of it placed down by the barn.

Chop saw, table saw, radial arm saw, and compressor moved over. Plus a few other small tools.

Menards order unloaded from van and moved over except for the 2 x 8’s which are still on the forks.

I’ll drop those on the hay wagon for BLO treatment after I move the Cub out of the way.

Some leaf blowing/mowing done first thing, knocked off on that due to how windy it is. But good progress made nonetheless.

Just finished a big bowl of chili The Woman made this morning.

Outlets on the south end of the back wall and south wall itself don’t have power. Suspect it may be a bad GFCI outlet from Harbor Freight.

Before she left for Europe she took her 2019 low mileage Hyundai Tucson in to the dealer because it was running rough. They said it was the cam positioner sensor which could make some sense and changed it. Now they are saying it has a code which it did not have before P0017 and it will cost 2400 dollars to fix. She is waiting for them to call back so armed her with questions: Get a print out of the diagnostic scanner results, get a breakdown of parts and labor, get the information on the solenoid valve controlling the oil flow to vary the cam angle ie desired position and actual position to see if it is off. None of this cost more than a few hundred dollars to fix so if they can not explain this she should pull the car and find another shop. So we will see what happens

got alligator bite prevention shot number 5 today, Giant store in Warrington. Very professional, nice office to do it in.
picked up some two for one blueberries and rotisserie chicken legs. Want to use the rest of the chicken
in the spaghetti sauce I have left. Actually if I bought some pizza dough, it would make the basis of a great homemade
pizza. Just might try that, buy some pizza dough and roll it out. Small kitchen with limited counter space makes rolling anything out a challenge.
mushroom chicken pizza with ground asiago and mozzarella cheese.

I hope they don't put much salt in premade pizza dough.

nice glass of wine overlooking Delaware River at 1740 House in Lumberville with my brother.
now I'm ready for a soak in the hot tub

have a fine and relaxing Friday evening.
Everyone but Popgadget. He'll be on Mr Fixit call for the wedding tomorrow.

hopefully those high tech portapotties won't need servicing.
Paul you could always take the Kubota over there with the gen on the back if you have power problems.
BYOG

rswyan, BLO treatment??

Boiled Linseed Oil …

Those 2 x 8’s will be used as concrete forms across the overhead door openings.

The BLO will help to serve as a release for the boards once the ‘crete firms up and sets, allowing them to be removed.

Unbeliveably high beef prices at Costso. No wonder restaurant prices are so bad. Good thing I like chicken...

I just bought close to 40lbs of brisket for 3.89 lb. I thought that was pretty reasonable. They were whole packers, flats were almost twice that price.

Good evening all. 46ºF for the start, clear sky, light breeze. Light to moderate wind, mostly clear sky, and high temp was 90ºF. Putter this morning waiting for warmer ride. Did get bike ride in, and did get nap after lunch. Helped with making Shrimp Newburg, that was good. Did try to get support from MS on groupme, not all text getting to me from groupme group, MS response not our problem. After getting app and looking at what did not come through, it probably was :(

Good (Saturday) evening. I'm back from the meeting in Longford. The overnight Low was a warm 16C and the High was 18C with rain all day, at times very heavy. I'll check my gauge tomorrow but a friend who also attended the meeting said that she had 35mm in her gauge at 0730. The drive there was pleasant... it was the drive home that got a wee bit hairy with big drops that SMACKED the windscreen and a few spots on the Esk Highway (100kph) where I had to slow to 40kph in order to traverse the flooding on the road.

Obviously, I'm safely home (with a glass of Pinot Noir in hand 🍷 ), but my eyes are really 'scratchy' having to stare so far down the road looking for any hazards.

That's about it. Something light for tea tonight... take care all.

RNG, you've reminded me to get my fifth shot. I'm overdue.
Hopefully one can get the flu shot at the same time, though lots of opinions on that, including being able to know
which one you got a reaction from. I probably ought to get the shingles shot too.
I'd be glad to get a 5 in 1 combo shot every fall. I'd like the extra tracking chips please, since I get lost a lot...

Don, I used the extension mop I use to wash my car on the windows. Just use a squirt of straight car wash soap on it, just squirt if off
when done. I don't even squeegee, seems not to have any streaks.
I started out using a long pole to wash my boats 25 years ago. Have been using a pole to wash things for a long time, nicest ones were the marine
aluminum extension poles, built to last. Got a fairly cheap one now with a synthetic mop head, nice and soft on finish.
Helps not to do all that bending over.
Not sure how to get the middle of the roof without it.
Sister in law just informed me she has got shingles today. Photo looks pretty nasty. I had my shot a couple of years ago.

Step Daughter who is staying with us was running her 2 kids to school and collected a Wallaby sadly. It got a broken leg so we arranged for it to go to the Uni Vets. Think it will need put down. Daughter was extremely upset as she loves animals. She had caught it and was cuddling it when I arrived to help. Vehicle was quite OK surprisingly. No marks at all.
Still raining here in fits and starts. Light drizzle then a downpour and repeat. Can't do anything outside.

Yeah, It breaks my heart whenever that happens... a lot of them a suicidal and will come out of the side of the road into the vehicle before you have time to react.

34 going to 69. More sunshine.

Popgadget...I think you could get into the wedding venue business...it all looks great.

Pennwalk...glad you're getting your daughter back to be nearer you. I've never bagged...the shredded grass and leaves make the best soil improvement possible around here. I used to rake all the leaves and then compost them...but found that less satisfactory than leaving them finely mulched in the yard.

BEF, looks like a great train excursion. We may have driven over top of you yesterday while you were in the tunnel...doing a loop on the Parkway from Afton to Whetstone Ridge, then down into the valley through Nellysford. At White Rock we hiked to a waterfall...my wife's first hike since finishing physical therapy and she did great. Treated her to a flight at both Veritas and Afton Mountain Vineyards afterwards to celebrate. I just ate her oyster crackers. 😁
