The other cat likes sleeping on top of the stove. It measured over 100° with my IR thermometer.

Good morning! 54˚F heading to the mid 60s, cloudy NW wind 18mph. With the wind this will be a cold day for Texas.quiet weekend planned, might go for a drive to see last of leaves.
That is something else. Thanks for sharing that video.when one thinks of living one's dream, this guy's experience sure spoke to me.
Living on the water, in a safe spot, totally isolated. Your boat nearby, ready for adventure.
and what a front porch.
just surprised he didn't have a lot more solar panels installed.
He needs to let Sodamo and RNG consult with him.
But his new wife is telling him it's time to go.
They already bought their next home.
And they can leave during the worst weather.
I'd want a caretaker there all the time. I wonder if he keeps his floating home
or tries to sell it. Wonder what happens when the styrofoam base finally breaks down?
I suppose you could haul it out piece by piece.
Or send divers down to fix it in place.
Must be quite a natural harbor there, in lee of wind from all directions.
At least with global warming, it will just float higher.

Great pictures....central and western Maryland have some beautiful and historical areas...too bad it's got Baltimore too...Took drive thru country on way to haircut.

welcome!35 degrees with light frost here at the east edge of WA State, light wind and still wet from the past couple days rain. Little bit of sun is melting the frost from the metal barn roof. Drained and rolled most of the hoses, stored 'em for winter. The rhubarb and tomatoes are bidding goodbye to the last of the warmer weather. Time to roll out a bale of straw to freshen the mulch on the garden. A touch of frost nip on the fingertips from handling cold tools and equipment. Snow forecast is slightly above my elevation, but lowering.
My former Boss had me look into a high end tankless, but when I told him that we have circulation pumps, and those don't fare well with "On Demand", that it was a waste of money.. Also we were going 3 phase, and the power it needed to operate was no cost savings.Good Morning
It’s 61 and not really moving throughout the day. another foggy morning, clearing later today.
Yesterday went by pretty quickly, still cleaning up from the weekend’s festivities. The 5 gallon water heater in the shop is fine for washing hands, but when I do anything significant in the big concrete slop sink, I run out of hot water pretty quickly. Cleaning a dozen chafing dishes put me over the edge, I’m installing an 18kw tankless heater today. That will make over 2GPM of hot water continuously.
Still a few clean up tasks, but they are dwindling. Still have to return my buddy’s Sprinter, and have to consolidate a lot of trash and recycling and get it to the street tomorrow.
Have an eye doctor appt this am, after that, I’ll get to work.
You guys can't complain about diesel prices. I paid over $102 for a half tank in the Ranger yesterday. (about 42 litres from memory) That was the cheapest servo. Most are around $1.33.9 per litre. Cheaper to drive the Mustang at the moment.
While shopping yesterday I noticed my toe getting sore while walking around. Now I have full on gout in my right big toe. Hard to walk around so won't be doing much today. Luckily I took some tablets last night but still had a very bad night.
Going to be very hot today. Dreading Summer.

Pretty sure I've seen the stone bridge and the covered bridge when I lived in Maryland (aka "merleland bridge")Yes.
