We had fauschnauts delivered today. They were good, everyone makes them different.
Sophie got her meds, so begins another phase of life, osteoporosis. The guy we are going to use for our basement renovation charges $110 per hour. Canadian.wow, hail storm just went through after very loud thunder, hail the size of dimes made everything white.
electrician just left, told the guy I liked him very much but could not afford to call him again.
50 bucks in parts, 1300 in labor for three hours work. That's ridiculous, I told him job was worth half that and he agreed.
But having waited three months for an electrician, just had to get this done. Needed a licensed electrician since he was making changes to
panel box. Next time I'll ask for work done on a hourly basis. Since when do single electricians with one truck get 400 an hour?
noise cancelling earbuds showed up, very hopeful they will help with my tinnitus
Alberta is going to get “Clipped” pretty good Thursday nite, with temperatures going down to -35°C (-31°F) in Calgary. Eeep!We have an Alberta clipper and a Colorado low joining up.It could be interesting to say the least. Freezing rain and snow for southern Ontario and straight up snow for us in the north. At least I am hoping for snow.
Stove and dryer receptacles are pretty easy to hook up.120/240 has 1 more wire. 240 is still 2 wire and no neutral. I make it a point to turn off electric and only touch dead wires.![]()
we moved 753 miles out of inner-city decay to Small-Town America in the mountains of Appalachia, only to have druggies across the road. . . In a subdivision with several gummint officials that don’t do nothing about it.That's a two way street, Chris. There doesn't seem to be any way to tell what kind of people might be living in the houses around the one you're thinking of buying.
Living out in the country is no guarantee you won't have neighbor problems, either. I only have one neighbor, where I am now, but they're the only stinkers in the whole neighborhood.

Just before lunch, the boss lady from out-of-state was introduced to the room and did a walk around. When she and our supervisor came around to us, I immediately introduced myself as “the pain-in-the-butt troublemaker who complains about everything”. She laughed. New chatted a bit about nothing much of consequence, and when she said she would be here all week, I replied “Try the veal, tip your waiters.”Good evening all. 53ºF for the start, partly cloudy sky, light breeze. Light to moderate wind, partly cloudy sky, and high temp was 85ºF. Putter to start, then bike ride late morning. After lunch worked on leaf control. leaf drifts up to ankle deep mowed and sucked up. Small town here too. IT IS EVERYWHERE. *Maybe*, just *Maybe* check with the County Judge. Law resources here are stretched too thin. Can barely keep up with things.
I had to look that up. Look good.We had fauschnauts delivered today. They were good, everyone makes them different.
Our local sheriff posts arrest to Facebook. But even without that, the constant stream of strange vehicles for short visits (as short as 30 seconds) at all hours is a good clue. . . Not to mention several visits by multiple LE vehicles several times, and regular visits by CPS and Probation. . .41 going to 60. Too many trees and bushes are already flowering. They can't read the calendar and won't listen to me.
Got the blade trimmer running and ran a tank cleaning up some honeysuckle, greenbrier, and blackberry stalks where they had begun to take over the daffodils and daylillies. Unfortuntely, the daffodils are blooming and the daylillies are several inches high, so had to be particularly careful, and do close-up work with clippers. My wife didn't get home until after dark from visiting her mom, so she'll be surprised when she goes out today.
Did a dump run and got a hike in to the river, wearing SHORTS in February....and yes, it met Sodamo's definition of a hike, twice.![]()
Kilroy, how do you know they are druggies? We've been blessed with good neighbors, most are the children of the deceased farmer who lived across the road and used to cut our hay. Two are retired LEOs.
