RS, I don't follow that thread of Muhammed's though I've been there a bunch, would have liked to have seen the context.
It wasn't on GM I think. But?

this particular four letter word is a grossly overused slur used to demean or belittle someone's else's feelings.
So I get it. Clearly someone has been abusing this.

Well, we survived alligators and we will survive woke.
just be kind to each other, everything else follows from that

good morning all
30 out now going up to 59 in sunshine, should be a very nice day.

have lots to do, meeting old friend for breakfast in Newtown, then get my car washed there, since
they have the best car wash around, and then off to accountant to pick up tax returns. I haven't seen him for
about 10 years, since I left for NC, so decided way overdue. He is lifetime member in same Quaker Meeting I am and despite
being offered free returns from my accountant brother, I still use the other guy after all these years. I could easily do my returns myself
and so far, knock on wood, have never been audited for anything.

then this afternoon landlady comes over for tea, and to check out the rv, and to talk about spring flowers. She is an avid gardener and wants
to see where my tulips will be coming up. I told her she had the job for two weeks I was away of guarding tulips from deer, and she just laughed.
Around here, no fence, not many flowers....my first year here I surrounded them all with an electric fence, that worked, but kind of ugly in front of house.

found my flag sitting by front door. I think it must have blown off in high winds and landed at a neighbors. Nice someone returned it to me.
I have a new one to put up which I'm hoping will work better, one with the rotary pole mount that allegedly spins to keep flag level. Current one keeps getting
blown up on roof, gets caught in gutter, and a pain to get down. Upping my game here with nicer flag and pole. And yes the flag is US made.
I've been procrastinating about doing this because it means taking off old mount, which is all painted in and a mess, and installing new wall mount.
Now that it's warmer out in the afternoon, sounds like a project to get to.

now the age old problem of what to do with the old flag, we've talked about this before. If I put it in recycling do you think
the trash guys will do the right thing?....

Rip, the Milk Palace sounds wonderful, keep those pics coming
VFW/American Legion/Boy Scouts usually cremate flags. Our local AL has a repurposed US Mail box set up so you can drive up anytime and drop a flag in.

Good morning to all. Still awaiting some rainfall here in Central Texas. It is way too dry! Possible severe later I heard, but if you are from around here, many times that translates to nothing. The forecasters will tell you after it happens.

USAF Air Mobility Command (olde timer name Military Airlift Command, MAC). A beast, the Lockheed C5-M Super Galaxy. Internal dimensions are approximately 13 1/2 feet tall, 19 feet wide and 143+ feet long. The interior (2,700+ sq ft) is much larger than my house, and I sure do not have 19-foot ceilings. Have deployed / transported in them. Smooth rides but depending on what cargo there is can feel cramped.

Hope all are safe and enjoy the day!

When we would do our semiannual requalifications at Ft. Dix, it was always entertaining to see these do touch-and-goes at McGuire. Inevitably, some newbie would express surprise at how many planes were flying in and out and ask “Did we go to war?” When it was really only 2-4 planes. . .

Don, get better fast!
Speed Queen washer price: The president is going to sign more green into washing machines, so my friend went out and got his mom a new SQ washer. We researched and came up with the fact that you have to buy the higher priced "Top Load Classic Clean" if you want the good old school heavy duty model. The newer ones that are cheaper don't have an agitator. They spin the basin back and forth, and the wash cycle takes about 30 minutes longer. My friend asked the lady at the store "Which model do I need if I really need my dirty clothes to get cleaned?" She said, "You need the classic." The price is now $1479. Ouch. I don't remember how long ago I bought mine, but it was $799. back then.

I have a leak in my buried water supply line behind. I have a 2" mainline coming in, and it has a Tee that comes off to a 3/4" line. I was hoping it was the 3/4 broken, but no such luck. The Tee is cracked. I'll have to cut the 2" pipe and buy a sliding connector to repair that.
Apollo 2 in. x 2 in. PVC Slide Repair Coupling PVCC2SL - The Home Depot

Then I hope to switch the 3/4 to PEX for flexibility. Researching Sharkbites, which need to be wrapped in silicone tape if direct buried.
The way things are going, I am glad I found this wringer at a local flea for $22:

And about a week later this rather hard-to-find square washtub in fantastic condition appeared for $40:

I really hope things do not get to the point where. . . But it doesn’t hurt to be prepared!

Good morning! Low of 35°, an 1/8" of rain in the gauge. 80% chance of showers today, becoming snow showers overnight. Maybe 2" of snow expected. High today only 40°.
Tomorrow should be ok, then more light rain / snow showers Sat. and Sun. Hopefully winter's last hoorah!

Don, hope you continue to feel better and the wifey too!

Drew, sounds like the RV upgrades are working out nicely.

Kilroy, the fight has just begun!
I went through the same scenario a few years back.... took a couple days fighting with them without success. Found a pair of tires / wheels on ebay for cheap..... cut the old ones off and had the new ones on within an hour.....

I started watching a local auctioneer here.... there is an auction coming up with a few goodies of interest. Pallet forks, a 30" portable sawmill, 3 pt. Tiller, 3 pt. Chipper, and a 14x20' metal shed building. All new in crates.
Lots of other big equipment.

I have watched some of their auctions before and most prices go higher than what you get the item for from a dealer.... can't figure out why that happens.....

Everyone have a great day!
Update to the update:

torch at 24F really made a difference. It took about 15 minutes of constant pounding with the drift and repeated dousing with PB on one side, and another 20+ minutes on the other, but they finally shifted enough that I could work them back and forth and get them off the axle this afternoon. Now to get some ScotchBrite and clean everything up.

Question for the Gallery: Regular anti seize, Copper anti seize, moly grease, lithium grease, or good Ol LubriPlate?

Still 55F @ 20:00 but radar indicates there might be some precipitation about.

Thought I felt a bit of light mist as I was putting things away.

Three sheets of 3/4 ply cut down into more manageable sizes:

IMG_2325 copy.jpg

Guide came in very handy, all the cuts looked great with no tear out.

Should be able to handle them by myself for further trimming on the table saw now.

Brought the two sheets of 1/4" TigerPLY in as well along with the foam board.

Still need one more sheet of 3/4 for the router table carcass but I have all I need for the woodworking bench build.

My cold cut combo from Subway just arrived ... time to go eat ... ;)

Kilroy, I vote for regular anti-seize. I don't do Morse code. But I bet there are people here that do.
I don’t either - I used an online translation website 😂🤣😂

When everyday words are banned I would like a list of the words so I can substitute.

Then keep a pencil and paper handy ... ;)

Personally, I'd like a pony ... but have no expectations whatsoever that the site owner will deliver one to me.

Regular anti-seize is my vote.

I moderate a sub-forum on another website. Very specialized motorcycle model. At its peak, they built 1200/year. Actually pretty mellow thread. But my issue I deal with isn’t what is posted, but other moderators telling me how to moderate my sub-forum. I just dealt with it again over someone posting a link to buy basically link to a book detailing about every bit of published info that is available. The other moderator complained to the site owner because I was allowing “commercial advertising”. My guess, the author will be lucky to break even.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 7.1C and it's presently 21.9C, clear and calm.

Busy arvo yesterday with the mowing done (I still need to rake), which uncovered more embryonic thistles = back out spraying done. The horse transfer from paddock #1 to #2 accomplished (water + new round of hay), followed by a great meal (Thai yellow curry over tempura soft-shell crab with rice) and productive meeting. Actually got home early at 2100.

Today will be chain-harrowing/mulching Paddock #1.

That's about it, take care all.
