KJC, have my mouth watering. Growing up on the Maine seacoast we didn’t think of HoJo’s as real fried clams, but I sure enjoyed many over the years as many many road trips involved a stop at a HoJo rest stop.. Would love to have some right now.
I still have family in Fall River MA. Clamcakes blow clam strips out of the water! But when you are on the boardwalk and actually want to sit down and eat, it was always HoJos and clam strips. Otherwise it was sausage sandwiches or pizza while walking between the arcades.

I used to hunt just past the Original fire tower on Bryant Road, or at the abandoned development project off Savoy Blvd.

just before we abandoned NJ, they were getting the rail line along Savoy back into operation - I guess to run between JBMDL (or whatever order the letters should be today) and Camden/Philly.

Good morning to all. Just missed this morning by what looked like a mesocyclone blowing thru Central Texas. No measurable rains and so far there is no heavy dew as normal. So, I may be able to mow grass early for a change.

Old news: the USAF replaced the M9 Berreta side arms, buying about 125,000 Sig Sauer M18 (compact version of the M17) Modular Handgun Systems developed by the US Army. The M18 is polymer (much lighter) 10 rounds magazine, compatible with the 17 round M17 magazines. A significantly lower trigger pull, and lower rail system for options.

Wishing all a happy enjoyable day.

Home from Ohio. Got the mower back in its old stable. Because of the bent front, can’t even open hood all the way to put charger on the battery. Will look at it on a rainy day.

My son mowed around the house today.
Not going to tie a 50’rope to it, the other end to a tree, and back up full-speed and wait for the sudden stop? 🤣😁

63 outside this AM. Heading to upper 70's. Grey out this AM, fog/mist hovering over the pastures.

Finished the Milk House big room painting last night. Today is window trim and door. And need to cut some grass.

Hope all have a great wekend. Be safe.

had a lovely drive over to Pemberton, went down RT 29 (River Road) on NJ side and what a treat. All the roads were paved nicely, so smooth didn't even have to wear
my headphones, and lots of pretty views of the Delaware River on the right side heading South. Much nicer than PA side, and once again, NJ roads are in better shape than PA. I think PennDot is either woefully underfunded or simply incompetent.

picked up the Gravely and brought it home, spent 15 minutes shuffling vehicles around in driveway, got it all done and sitting down trying to stop sweating.
Warm out there but no complaints. We sure do need some rain though.

headed out to wash off the Gravely and water the veggies. Might just find another strawberry.
But first the shorts went on and hot bluejeans off.

Harry is a puppy. And the breed does have a tendency to be a tad headstrong. And hounds tend to be rather persistent. It is just going to take some work, and we want to not screw him up, so we are willing to make an investment in professional training, and when he comes back, we are already set with our clocks Pet Playgouse to do regular training sessions.

plus I am sure our senior dog will enjoy the respite!

Spent the morning casually at home, did a few things on the tax files, swept the floor, time with the dog, loaded the truck.
Did the scraps pick-up at Salvation Army ... lots of bread today, the chickens will be happy, mixes up their diet a bit more. While in town I delivered 6 dozen eggs to a law firm (regular customers) and grabbed the business card for their family law lawyer (plan B, if i need it). Then i gassed up the truck, stopped in at a seniors residence to connect with a few people. The manager is a friend, and also a realtor, so I will get her to come and give me a free market evaluation on the house/property (starting point). They also have 6-7 recently hatched ducklings that I have agreed to re-home in a week or two, once the residents have enjoyed them for a bit. Saw the day old chicks at the Farm Store in town, but I can't commit to them at this point. I stopped in to the local agri repair tractor place to check in on my friend who is recovering from open-heart surgery... chatted with him and his sons for a bit while i drooled over the used tractors and equipment that was scattered about. They may be able to help me with parts for the vintage Jacobsen garden tractor ... grille and mower deck particularly. Coffee with a friend, good to catch up and encourage each other. Then home for the evening.

not a bad day, just coping along. Good evening
Have you or your wife filed for divorce…..yet?
