RonJH- Nice picture of a hummingbird. I have yet to get a decent “capture.”

Billie- Interesting fungus picture.

Kilroy- Thanks for sharing your projects.

Buppies- congratulations on the new addition to the family.

High level clouds and haze with 46ºF as this morning's low temperature. These conditions continue with the addition of hazy sunshine. The current temperature is 74ºF and I expect these conditions will continue through the afternoon with a high temperature ~80ºF. I might have to turn on the A/C this afternoon.

I got lucky this morning with Mr. & Mrs. House Wren:

no joy on foam cannon, had to order optional wand for pressure washer with 1/4 inch fitting at end

much cheaper than ordering new pressure washer and I like this cheap HF, note the four manufacturers named on adapter, looks like all made by same folks, good name
grands. I put antifreeze in it over winter, so far catches prime quickly.

I'm sure the midnight crew of PennDot will have that cleared up by the morning....
shows why structural elements that have had heat impingement really need to be checked out.
no checking needed on this, that's a wrap on that one. Good pic Frits.

at least on my next trip I'm headed North and won't have to deal with this.

Pup doesn't realize it yet but it doesn't get any better with you and Mrs. watching over her. :)

68°F and .0 inches rain.

Hmm, this didn’t post yesterday?
Another section, backside of suite box with beams painted and wall cut in. That makes 4 of the 8 eave ends done, progress. Start garage box weather permitting. This end proved a bit challenging being the original configuration plus the addition I added a few years back.

Garage end done, moving to master suite box

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

yep, fire was underneath the over pass, so bbq the bridge. Not much will stand up to that, wonder what flammable material as the firefighters had trouble putting it out! Great picture, hope no one gets hurt.
This will take months to fix since it took them months to install?

78F and mostly cloudy @ 12:30, calling for a high of 81F. Rain off to the south and west, on its way in. Expecting around an inch.

We really need it.

Got seeds and plants in pots all watered/fertilized first thing yesterday.

Then worked on mowing some down here around the house. Incredibly dusty.

Took a break from that and got The Woman's Siberian Iris divided and repotted. Was horribly root-bound:

Got 5 divisions divisions out of it:

After that went back to mowing.

Noticed that the rhododendrons in the northwest planting bed were looking kind of droopy so I hauled the Water Buffalo around and watered those and the hosta in the bed. Got it all done, except for a couple of hosta.

Refilled the Water Buffalo while I was waiting for my pizza to be cooked and then hauled it back up to the second circle turn around.

Gathered up some tools and the sprayer from around back and brought them up to the front.

Got some spraying done along the edge of the pavement in front of the house.

More mowing.

Visited with neighbor when she came by walking her dogs.

Did a little clean up in front of the house, moved some stuff into the garage.

Grabbed the 12 gauge and sat out by the feeders as it was getting dark hoping to spot a 'coon.

None showed up but I had a young deer walk to within 20' of me as I was sitting very still.

Closed things up after that and came inside after that.

Treated myself to a movie on Amazon Prime that The Woman recently watched and recommended: "Peanut Butter Falcon". Was cute, pretty good ... (y)

Agenda for today:

Do some more work on getting things outside put away before the rain gets here, which looks to be around 15:00.

Need to put some string on the shelves with pots on them so they don't get blown off if it gets windy.

Then later more clean up inside prior to The Woman's return. She flies back in tomorrow afternoon.

Also want to get our homemade stink juice (deer repellent) bottled up into some 1 gallon milk jugs.

It's a combo of purified eggs and cayenne pepper powder. It's been sitting in a five gallon bucket out in the garage since last year.

It will need stirred/mixed up and then strained. That should be interesting.

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday ... (y)

Oh my, what a cutie. Gonna be spoiled, but hopefully will mind well. My boss has a female Golden, and they just bought a Golden Doodle pup, hoping to have Golden Golden Doodles someday. 75/25 Like Thomas said, I concur, she landed in a good situation.

When I was a kid, we had derivations of Pekinese/Poodle that were called Peek a Poo. They were good pets.

Been busy, mainly on piddly things, but did get about 12 acres cut. My bushhog blades are quite dull. I know this because after a day and a half, my fields already have razor stubble (things sticking back up).

56 jumping to 88. Sky looks so much clearer, but the air quality measures are still higher than normal.

Kil, those are nice looking cabins and saunas. Did you get a wood burning one?

BEF, sounds you need to put up at least a gazebo and/or some Adirondack chairs in the shade for Mrs. BEF.

Got a nice hike in yesterday. Building my mileage back up from when I had my foot problem. Got the kayaks out and cleaned up...lots of dust from having them hanging in the barn...plus mine had a nice wasp nest attached to it. Only one wasp to deal with.
Yes this one:

went with the Stoveman stove. When I ordered the kit almost two years ago, there was a 6 in front not an 8. That project is where I got my carpal tunnel - between the cordless driver and the rubber mallet…

Have you considered something like

We have, but when we get the recently-delivered shed equipped and furnished and can spend some extended time (like a weekend) we have a spot for the dogs to stay without cramping up our little 10x16 spot.

Got things outside all put away (or covered) + string run around the shelves to prevent the pots from blowing off.

Was juggling some pallets around when Fedex showed up with a partial order from Burgess.

Checked Nest Box No. 3 while I was up that way, we now have 4 bluebird eggs ... (y)

Grabbed 30mm socket for the MMM blades from the shop.

Started to spit rain about the time I got back to the house.

Have the MMM on the forks, just waiting for a break in the rain so I can take them off.

Should be a break in an hour or so.

In the meantime, I'll if I can scare up a couple of pots for those plants Fedex delivered ... ;)
