Was 88°
Mowed the front, then mowed along creek, then the hill, working my way back to the house. Got lightning warning, sky was getting dark, so finished up the hill and came back to house.
IMG_0118.JPG

Started getting few large rain drops as I finished next to house, so parked it
5 minutes later it was pouring
IMG_0124.JPG

Got .95” of rain and dropped to 70°
Gutters could not keep up with the rain.

Snagglepuss is safe in my lap, I let her in garage for awhile. Sun is out again

Pig hunting very common here as is trapping. Don’t do either myself, just try to keep at bay outside the main house area with fences.

Update on daughter today, one lump was benign but recommended surgery to remove. The other was inconclusive and will need more testing. A friend died two days ago and another friend lost a baby born premature. And she is getting ready for work trip starting Sunday

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 5.3C with rain and gusty wind. Presently it's 10C, overcast with more rain & not-so-gusty wind. There was 3.4mm in the gauge @ 0900.

The 'Mad Agisting Horse Woman' returned from the Scottsdale Vet at 1500... short story is that a 'barbed' grass seed had got under his eyelid and was ulcerating. So it was a good call to take him to the Vet as opposed to waiting to see if things corrected on its own. Mind you, it did cost the MAHW A$400. That included the ointment that she needs to apply twice daily and 10-days worth of daily pills. I suspect that the pills would be suppositories.

That's about it, take care all.

Not a very productive day. On and off weather didn’t let stuff dry off until later and then decided to drizzle again just after I started. Then I noticed I had lost the toplink my last pass. grrr As Sophie said, I may have had my plans, but God had his own. He won.

A small win, appears I was able to give away the older Panasonic Tv on CL. Not picked up yet.

Need extra coffee this morning. 65° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 71° with good chance of thunderstorms. Found some rust spots on pole barn metal roof. Cleaned them up and then put a coat Rustoleum on the spot. Will recoat whole roof later this summer. Drew showed up with his Motorhome. Spent rest of the day enjoying each others company.
Got sad news. Both my mothers sisters passed away in the last week. They were the last of the mothers side of the family. Going to miss both of them.

good morning all
a pleasant morning in Milford Michigan, once again Ron and I are on computers a hundred feet away from each other, but he sure got up earlier than I did.
While I have a good Garmin gps, I like to write down major road changes the old fashioned way, so I've been planning my drive to Mogadore Ohio.
Not sure if I will hit rain, but I"ve been awfully lucky so far.
Ron took me on a great tour of the area yesterday, around the GM proving grounds and local parks. A very pretty place.

need to put things away, and then head over the lawn to Rons at 7am where we will have coffee and a cinnamon bun.
And Sassy will happily greet me. She and I get along just fine.
I'm afraid Sassy was unimpressed with her plastic cherry pie chew toy, but she might get interested.

Ron's pic of his lilies were much better than mine. He is very skilled with his top quality cameras and we all get to enjoy it.

This afternoon RS and his wife come pick me up and take me back to their place for an early dinner. Looking forward to seeing his amazing gardens.

71 headed to 89. Got a sprinkle yesterday from the edge of a pop-up.

Ron, real sorry to hear about the loss of your aunts. Prayers said.

Took advantage of the rare calm wind and sprayed 75 gallons of glyphosate...was a 4.5 job driving slowly, trying to keep the pressure lower due to the heat, and then the tank and pump cleaning. I always take off the pump and fill with antifreeze before putting away. Then cap off the now-loose sprayer hoses with an old nitrile glove twist-tied...this is to keep the earwigs, etc from crawling up into the hoses.

Then did battle with the hornets again...still some remaining in 2 of the 3 sites.

My wife was working in the garden the whole time...we were both pretty drained at 2pm quitting time, so showered and then watched the original "Singing in the Rain" movie...we'd never seen it...what a fun movie...too bad they can't movies like that any more.

I'm worried about Buppies. I'll reach out to him.

74 outside this AM...guess.....heading to - 90's.

Sorry for you loss Ron.
M7040, prayers for conclusive results on the positive side.
Wishing Buppies well.

Yesterday spent the day on the ZTR. Even in fast mode had to stop a few times to catch my breath and drink some water. It was too hot to mow. This AM, the weed whacker calls. Wife wants me to torch some weeds too. I told her I'd rather spray them, I hate lugging around propane and fire. Especially in this weather.

Still no favorite beer in bottles. It's a conspiracy against me I tell you.

Hope all have a great weekend.
