64 outside this AM. Heading to mid 90's. t-Storms moved through late yesterday evening. Body felt the change in atmosphere. Aching...aching...still. Waiting now for the morning fog to burn off. Sure looks gloomy outside.

Had a few lightening strikes with the storms that were loud and bright. Sheesh. One sent the dog under the covers, another sent me looking outside the window after my eye adjusted and ears got cleared. LOL. Dang.....I guess the odds makers are right about chances with lightening and lotteries. LOL.

Got the accountant settled, paperwork with the US Government needed. Done for 2022. LOL. Picked up some more wood and screws while I was out. Met the plumber when I got back. He was more prepared than the last guy. Seemed more enthusiastic about the possible job too. Gave up better ideas too. Looks like I am still on the hook for busting concrete though, and....the wife needs to figure out if she wants to keep the chimney in the Milk House. It looks to be a free floater. I have no idea how it is supported. I'll have to post some pics and have the TBN crew give me some hints as to how it is constructed. I found an old diagram on the internet a while back. Obviously they do not make them like that anymore.

Hope all deal with the weather accordingly. Got to respect Mother Nature. Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

Enjoy your day all.

66 rising to 92...small shower last night.

LS, so glad to have you back, and what a beautiful place you've made.

Thomas, do you know how many spots on a fawn? I was recently reading an article about the Pennsylvania Game Commission's 10 year study of deer, including capture and release after fitting them with GPS collars. Amazing things they learned, but one fun fact was that fawns have from 272 to 342 spots.

I took the troublesome zerk off my zero-turn drive shaft yesterday, cleaned it, and then no problems using the grease gun on it. Then mowed for a couple of hours to celebrate, and to run out much of the diesel fuel in the tank, since next I need to change out the 2 fuel filters.

I made major progress on the hornet nest inside the paulownia tree...hit them with a one-two punch just before dark. Watched it this morning and saw only 1 hornet fly up, none leaving. Usually, I would have seen 10 to 20 during this time spent watching.

I did not know that fact but have wonder from time to time.

Thanks for sharing info. (y)

Good Morning.
It’s 65, sunny and going to 90 with little chance of rain. Today will be the day I spend outside mowing, as yesterday was a rain out. We only got 1/3”, but it was spread out in many bouts of small showers throughout the day.

So I spent most of it in front of the computer doing TSA training. Completed most of the modules, have a little bit left that I should be able to knock out today after mowing. I did notice that the Transit Connect had a water leak on the passenger side sliding door, so I spent some time working on that. I’ll test the fix with a hose today if I have the time. I’m thinking I’ll start the day with putting the 90” 3PT on the tractor and cutting inside the pasture fences. It’s too tight to use the big Progressive, the Lazer is probably faster than the tractor, but lacks AC and stereo. It will still get used to go right along the fence lines, and around the house and edges of the lane and RC runway, but the tractor will do the bulk of it.
My wife was getting a list together for a Costco run, but not sure that will fit into the day. It doesn’t help that they open at 10, so you can’t go while the dew dries off the grass. Hopefully the phone will leave me alone today, I’m trying to get caught up so I can make some time for Drew, he’s got a few things saved up for me as well.
Time to eat my special K and get moving, have a good day guys!

Morning all, 66 going up to 90, and thick fog.
Got about an inch of rain last night.
Finished cleaning dryer pipes, this one starts below grade and goes up through the wall to exit outside above grade, so quite a bit to clean from inside.
Too we to do much else.

The copper chimney caps would eventually patina to green, kind of goes with the house though, $400 each is kinda painful, but will see what makes the wife happy.

the two does , each with twins were playing in back yard yesterday, one set of twins is getting bigger and spots starting to fade.

Early meetings at work, did find out a few more people let go, a few more resigned.

Today , lots of meetings, trying to find time to get medicine and do a run for pool salt.

Be well,

Good Morning Guys,
67 now going into the mud 80’s, so another hot and humid day !

Popgadget, your an electrical guy ! My 6hp 30 gal Craftsman compressor is giving me trouble. When I try to start it it’s kicking my breaker, wants to start but kicks breaker instead ! I have read it may be the large capacitor on the motor ! Any feelings on that or a test I could perform on it ? I do have a meter. I’m a mechanical guy so not to good with electrical issues ! Thanks for your thoughts ! 🙏

Good morning! Gonna be warm the next several days.

Got to pick up the remainder of the first batch of parts from the painter for the BSA project. He did the black parts first in 2 batches. No BSA ever left the factory with parts painted that well! Next the fenders and tank.

And find time to work on the wife’s garden tractor again…..seems to be my summer project. We have 2 others that always run, only require maintenance, she prefers to use the one that seemingly can’t make it thru a day of mowing without a new failure. The engine is now surging and it has new, odd electrical issues.

50th class reunion this Saturday……

Everyone stay safe out there

Still enjoying the TBN app before I erase the old phone. Lol. Will transfer my wife’s android to my old one. If only I had bought this one with more memory. White background on new phone is more yellow than this one. I went thru all settings and they are the same.

I used a program to save a copy of the TBN app on my computer. If I can find a really old version of iTunes, it might allow me to install it. They took away that feature later, to lock down installation only from their store.

84F and "Fair" @ 12:00, HI 87F, DP 67F, HU 59%, AQI 110 (unhealthy for sensitive groups) ... probably at least partially due to wildfire smoke.

Headed up to around 90F for the high with a chance of thunderstorms (62%) this afternoon. Current cloud cover around 30%.

Enjoying first cup.

Woman reports She saw a Great Blue Heron out back this morning. They nest down at the reservoir ... so not totally out of the question they might stop by for a tasty frog snack.

Expanded monofilament fence still intact this morning ... (y)

I think I hear UPS outside dropping off the additional tomato cages.

Items on the agenda for today (in no particular order):

Dole out meds for this coming week.

Get those tube feeders filled for the finches and other little birds, hopper feeder will probably need filled again.

Plant beet seeds.

Water plants in garden using that Schultz's Tomato Food.

Might be a good day to do some soil screening for the pumpkin patch/food plot up in the compost/wood lot.

Cub needs an oil and filter change, pre cleaner on air filter also needs washed out. It's right at 475 hours on the clock. Valves will need checked and adjusted @ 500 hours.

Might have to see if I can jigger things around enough to get it in the garage.

Later, around 15:00, cloud cover should increase to about 40% - 50%, I may mark out the hole spacing for the 2 sheets of weed block we got put down yesterday.

Finally had to haul the little rolling seat around to the garage yesterday and pump up the tires for the first time as a couple of them were getting low.

Beyond all that whatever else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Wednesday ... (y)

70°F and .80 inches rain.

No report back from reading Sophie’s X-rays yet. From discussion, unless they point to something she just maybe into a pain management stage. Right now the combination of Voltarin and CBD is working.

Never got an answer to emails from bed company but later in day my items became active in the FedEx system. If they follow expected pattern I could see them headed from Ca to Honolulu today with delivery as early as Fri. I’ll be watching.

Today we have our reschedules appointments for our new ID cards. Then will be meeting Sophie’s brother and gf for a late lunch.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
