Have I mentioned yet today how tapatalk sucks compared to the TBN app? It crashed while typing this up. And it’s got so many ads it’s about unusable.
Android to iPhone transfer been stuck at 53 minutes remaining for about an hour now. I don’t know if I should restart or wait and hope it’s working.

How about just using the phone based browser and getting to TBN?

That on my Android with Chrome is pretty stable and no issues with pictures or advertising.

Good Afternoon Buckeyefarmer,
Yes I originally was kicking the breaker in the garage, that was on a GFI circuit, I thought it was because of the high humidity. So I ran an extension into the house and got it to run until I tripped that breaker also ! So unless the extension cord was not heavy duty enough, that would be my only explanation !

I looked at similar units online last night, we are looking at $600 plus tax for a comparable unit ! I would really like to find an easy fix. It just seems that it starts but cant get the pump up to operating speed ! Honestly I have had this thing for a very long time, so I guess it doesnt owe me too much !

Ted, that sure is some pretty work.between you and RS surely put me to shame.

Have to warn you, planting and growing here in Hawaii a very different game. A good friend of ours that relocated from NYC about 10 years ago recently remarked how she misses winter abit. Whereas for the most part her outdoor plantings would die back in winter, here they just grow and grow.

If you want to discuss moving here just hit me up. Maybe you should come visit, let you get familiar with my LS and a few acres of grass vs dirt.

If it starts and runs, but not up to speed, does the motor have brushes ?
They may be worn.

Also drain any water and look for rust.
How do the motor/pistons get oil ?

I use Duck Duck Go for a browser on my new iPad. No problems with advertising or posting.
I wonder how safe the old TBN app is without any updates for some time now.

My 6hp 30 gal Craftsman compressor is giving me trouble. When I try to start it it’s kicking my breaker, wants to start but kicks breaker instead ! I have read it may be the large capacitor on the motor ! Any feelings on that or a test I could perform on it ? I do have a meter. I’m a mechanical guy so not to good with electrical issues ! Thanks for your thoughts !

Could very well be the capacitor then. Is it removable?

Old app was done by tapatalk, but it had very little advertising, which is probably why they are not upgrading it. I’ll try browser.

I went over hill and dale getting to Ken's house, one of the primary roads in this area was washed away and still not fixed by PennDot.
Sadly the ones where those folks drowned.
Maybe they can't get the lawyers to clear out...

it's getting hot. Have a/c cranked down, so far it's holding.

disaster with the hot tub. Filled it, super dosed it with chemicals, and turned the heater on yesterday.
Really looking forward to using it today. Nope.
Went down this morning to check on it because the basement had a strong pool chemical smell.
When I pulled the cover off there was only a foot of water in there. Sigh. Big leak somewhere, I think in the pump and piping.
all that super bromined water gave the floor a nice cleaning anyway...

and this was on top of a serious dumb move of filling tub up, walking away while hose ran, did something upstairs and completely forgot
the hose.
Double sigh. Water everywhere, took me half an hour to suck it up with shop vac. Luckily sump pump working fine but now the half the concrete floor was wet, my area rugs were wet. Then I had to pump water out of the hot tub because it was overfull. Big lot of good that did me, finding out there then was a leak.
major fail, complicated by stupidity.

I'll deal with that this afternoon, at least it's cool in the basement. Humidifier and floor fan have been running constantly, slowly drying things out.
I've been really pleased with this cheap hot tub. Hope it's just a loose fitting.
nothing much I can do about the loose screws of the operator...

I did drain what little water was in there ! There is no oil in the piston or sleeve area ! I still need to take off the motor cover and check that out !

I use Brave browser on my iPad and IPhone and it works seamlessly.

If there is a “hump” on the outside of the motor, that’s what the capacitor would hiding under. A failed capacitor would give you the symptoms that you described. Disconnect it, short the terminals with a screwdriver to discharge it (in case it’s good).
And measure it’s value compared to its label. The ability to measure a large cap is not usually native to a lower end multimeter, if you can’t measure it, and can’t find someone nearby that can, you could mail it to me.

I use Tapatalk on an iPhone and don’t really have any complaints. Of course, I never had the TBN app to compare it to.

Good morning, well afternoon......
Didn't sleep well again last night, slept in an extra 45 minutes this morning.
Then realized that Max had a first appointment at the groomer..... a little rushed, but we got there on time.
A good thing because she books out appointments 6-8 weeks in advance.....
Max is now relaxing.....



Took the opportunity to go grocery shopping, got everything except for one insignificant item. Perfect timing when done to pick up Max. I like consolidated trips. Being the groomer is only a half mile from the store.... worked out perfectly!

Already hit 98° so not much going to happen outside today except for monitoring the drip irrigation. I might try and brave the heat and clean the truck....but, tomorrow morning might be better.....
I think I talked myself out of doing it now.....

Scott VT, check the air bleed off valve too. I have a Rol-aire portable compressor that would do the same thing. The valve was causing a slight over pressurization which caused the motor to "overload" and trip the breaker.

I have never replaced the valve, but found if I drain the tank before trying to start it, it fires right up. Once it fires that first time, then it cycles normally. I don't use it a lot, so figured a few extra minutes is no big deal.

I've lost track of the number of android to iphone transfer attempts. Keep trying new things found in youtube videos, turn this off, set this, etc, etc.. And a lot of them the instructions don't match the version of android, so either have to find the new place for the setting or skip that one.....
