Sure was lot cooler this week than what they had predicted last week for this week. I’ll take it.
Hair cut later, than who knows what I’ll get into. Might stop by Costco to pick up bread. They now have the SPYPOINT camera like I bought for the lot. I got it little cheaper on Amazon. So far it’s worked great, but lots of wind generated pics.
Almost no deer the last 2 days. Not sure about this one.

Morning all, 61 going up to 79 and cloudy.
Got more furring strips up and ready for first panel of sheetrock.
This is 5/8 fire rated and much harder to cut/place, so we'll see how fast it goes.

The town crew came by yesterday to patch the road, will repave next year.
The supervisor showed me pics of the cars and road damage from the big storm that killed so many people. He was on the S&R crew.
I asked if they could fix the flood damage at the base of the skirt, and they did :)

Drew - be careful with bleach and pump seals

Buppies - prayers that the removals go well and you heal quick

Be well,

The town crew really did a great job on the road and my driveway skirt. They also finished faster than estimated!

Good Morning Guys,
50 to start going to 73 or so !

Buppies, prayers to you my friend ! I had a large section of basil cell removed from my chest about 12 years ago ! Not much fun ! I am outside a lot and sometimes without a shirt, especially when at the beach ! Wife is always on me about getting some sunscreen on!

Kyle, sorry to hear about your finger ! A few years back I was out splitting wood, and caught the pinky of my left hand between two rounds. It broke the bone just above the finger nail. Hurt like heck for quite a while, and I never put a splint on it, so the end of the finger is a little crooked ! Pain did finally go away !

A safe and blessed day to you all !

Good morning! Easy forecast, no rain - 75˚ heading to 100˚. Our next day at attempting to stay under 100˚ will be next Tuesday. My West facing numbers on the mailbox have deteriorated so they will be replaced today. Missed my before 7am watering window so will have to wait till after 7 pm.

We got back to Lancaster Sunday mid-day. We really enjoyed out time in Maine. I can report that the roads between here and there are hit or miss. There has been some paving but there are still some rough stretches. I hear people complaining about infrastructure spending but I doubt we have spent enough to maintain.

The lawn here at the house is pretty dry. Almost dormant. I ran up to the farm yesterday. The lawn there is green in the shaded parts and brown where it gets full sun. I mowed the farm lane and some of the meadows. It was pretty long in places. I want to take the hedge trimmer up and knock back the briars growing out onto the lane. Possible good news on my neighbors son. The Docs think what they are seeing on the x-ray is pneumonia. Fingers crossed that there isn't some underlying cancer. He is feeling better so I hope to haul him some logs to cut and split.

Take Care.

Chris

Lou get any pics for the tractor show at the fair?
I'll try and take some the next time I'm out there.

It’s a pretty amazing and versatile machine, we got the 14’ plow, snow blower, rear sweeper and turbine blower for it. Should make short work of snow removal.

Impressive equipment.

Good Morning Lou,
Did you go to the Washington County Fair ? I am guessing yes because its almost next door to you in Greenwich ! If so how was it this year ? Much new tractor displays and tractor equipment ? Wish I coiuld have made it !

Good Morning.
Only got down to ~82 overnight, and going up to 102. 93% humidity. Not a good day for any outside work. FedEx is supposed to deliver my shop fridge today. Lots of reviews said theirs arrived badly dented. I really don't care too much about that, as long as it works good.

Grandkids have their first day of school today and will get let out 2.5 hours early today and tomorrow. Dog got me up every 2 hours overnight to go "out". Danged if he didn't poop EVERY time, too. Must've eaten something that didn't agree. Can't be mad at him for that...

please tell her she'll always be number one in our book...
and yours :)

good PT session, rescheduled MRI for this Sat, open MRI in Willow Grove, not too far away, affiliated with Rothman.
and well marked for sure, turns out it's just a wing off the main building, which is a real Taj Mahal. Usually thirty folks in waiting room.
big business, Rothman is huge in mid Atlantic and Florida.
As the population ages and we can afford/have insurance for new parts, these guys
are kept very busy.

70°F and .01 inches rain

We have water. Need to recheck for leaks.

Some clean up from yesterday, but coffee and bike first.

Probably watch the debate later.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

76F and partly cloudy @ 12:30, heading up to around 81F for the day's high. Thunderstorms today/tonight with potential for severe.

Got hopper and both tube feeders refilled yesterday, also scattered some cracked corn for the ground feeders.

Water Buffalo refilled.

Have about 80% of the east side of the driveway sprayed, got a similar amount done on the south edge of the road as well. Also driveway area around planting bed in second circle. Woman worked on spraying weeds around back.

Finished off the ribs for an afternoon snack, Woman offered to cook up some bacon for BLT's for dinner ...

All told we got a total of 4 gallons of juice put on, I made up another 4 gallons of juice as the last thing before knocking off for the day so we would be ready to go at the next opportunity.

Woman would like to continue spraying but I don't see that as being realistic given the likelihood of rain. Probably better to focus on getting stuff put away before the rain hits.

I might try and get the mowing started on the front before the rain arrives as it's getting pretty long. Will start at the bottom as its more likely to stay wet longer.

Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday ... (y)

Back from haircut, then lunch at mission bbq. Then Costco to pick up few items. Got out for once under $100, just bread, milk, ham slices and OJ.
Traffic backed up North and west bound from multiple accidents, fortunately I headed east.
They stripped and paving road intersection below the house, so main road was one lane, but no backups out here.
Bit warm on porch now, was really cool out this morning.

Next, I want electric cars to NOT get subsidies, and every year at annual licensing time, I want them to have to report their mileage and for it to be verified, so they have to pay the same road use tax that the rest of us have to pay when we buy fuel. Fair is fair. It's time to

Good Morning Lou,
Did you go to the Washington County Fair ? I am guessing yes because its almost next door to you in Greenwich ! If so how was it this year ? Much new tractor displays and tractor equipment ? Wish I coiuld have made it !
Yes, I go several times to the Washington County fair. I got through about a third of the exhibts and barns the other day. Actually the Fair Grounds are in the Township of Easton with a mailing address of Greenwich just like I am.

If the rain holds off the out of the field tractor pulls are Friday starting at 10 AM with the light classes and a starting again at 7PM for the heavy classes.
They are doing diesel pickups tonight and gas tomorrow along with the super stock pickups, then out of the field tractors Friday and Super Stocks and Modified Saturday. Last night was a rodeo, Monday opening day was a demolition derby and another demolition derby Sunday to close it out.

This year the tractor and equipment count was down a bit. Had Salem Farm Supply (CIH, Kubota), Capitol Tractor (NH, Mahindra), United Ag and Turf (JD), JC Tractor (TYM, Branson, Zetor). Didn't see our two local Kioti dealers or the Yanmar dealer.
Also quite a bit of construction equipment displayed also.

Got about 3/4 of the front cut.

Woman gathered up weeds and loaded them into the dump cart which I hauled up to the compost pile and dumped.

Currently under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning with a torrential downpour.

Be interesting to see how much it eventually dumps as it’s been going on for a while.

Watering will not be necessary for probably another week at least assuming no further rain during that time.

Power just went off … 🤬

very successful afternoon getting things done at Popgadget's.
rv wiring made no sense, often backwards of industry standard.
but got the lights installed, the anti rattle hitch installed so the e bike doesn't wobble, and a new
side marker light put on.

these new bright turn signals should make it a lot safer changing lanes, oem were pretty dim

only par tonight in backing up into the driveway, made it in three. If I make it in two, it's a birdie...
