me too, I'd worry about some mouse poop disease...mask sounds like a good idea

58 degrees and slowly warming up as sun comes out
headed downtown, for whatever downtown a population of 2,064 people can be...
going to better supermarket, senior Tuesday

before I went to bed last night I put on a good dose of that medicated skin cream on my balding head.
woke up with quite a burn, looks like a chemical burn when I finally took a hand mirror to it, can't see in regular mirror.
Reminds me of paint stripper. Think I'll stop using that for awhile. Have to wear a cap to supermarket, looks like I have a strange disease.
now I know why dermatologist said I didn't want to deal with this during the summer, she knew what would happen. I'll call her today anyway.
Seems to be dissolving all the damaged skin, and I had no idea there was so much of it.
I bet if I got sun on it right now it would feel like a blowtorch.
quite sure this is one step backwards, three forward.

wear a hat
always

Good morning.
It’s 55 and foggy, might see 80 under a bright sun after the fog burns off.
Yesterday found me mostly in the shop making sawdust.

IMG_2765.jpg

Making good progress, got a couple glued and clamped

IMG_2769.jpg

Using all dado construction makes it easy to keep them square, they will stand up with no glue or clamps.

IMG_2766.jpg

After getting them glued up, I got on the Lazer to see if I could get a start on the mowing, it was wetter than I would like, but got all the trimming done.
Did some more exploring in the Prius Prime systems, now its Homelink can control both garage doors on the house and one of the shop doors.

Today it’s back to the shop to keep up the progress on the speakers, hopefully by this afternoon I can get some mowing done with the tractor and Progressive mower if the warm sun comes out and continues to dry things up. Tomorrow will be another dry day, but that’s another day of growth, and I’ve got to go to Ohio in the morning, but would be back by early afternoon. So that’s a fall back if it’s still too wet today.

Morning to all;
A comfortable 55F this morning. Not much going on here my contractor has been on a couple of other projects so trim and siding work has not been progressing, not real happy with that. Supposed to show this morning, we will see.
On the way into town yesterday to pick up prescriptions I was surprised at how much some of the trees have turned.
On the farm there is a 20+acre swamp that is full of young hardwoods now it used to be all Tamaracks that would drowned out when the butts got to 3-5" in diameter.

It looked much better then my photo,

And then the mountain behind my place is showing a lot of color,
Mountain 1.jpg

And then just to keep up a bit a picture of my lazy ol big red dog,

Everyone have a good day.

Cool and foggy here too. Yesterday was about as nice a day as you could wish for. I mowed at the farm. Even though there were places down the lane that were pretty long the Simplicity zero turn handled it. I'm amazed how well that machine cuts tall grass. I had a place on the farm lane where falling branches had brought down a wild rose bramble across the lane. I used the Yanmar tractor with the forks to push the whole mess across the lane into the trees. I don't seem to be able to get away without the briars getting me. I lost both of the lynch pins from the lower hitch pins. Has anybody ever found a lynch pin after it is stripped off the tractor? The lawn at the farm will need to be cut today. The grass is really growing.

I noticed Halloween decorations going up. Are there people around you who are really into Halloween?

Savor October.

Chris

Morning all, 55 going up to 82 and foggy, sun is peeking through though.
Pool closed for winter
Choir meeting I didn't know about last night so ran over there.
Lawn aeration moved to today as no time to do yesterday.
Need to order parts for pool robot, new one is >$1000 so a few hundred dollars in parts doesn't seem so bad.

Drew-I still have five 1" foam core insulation 4x8 left over if you want them for the garage.

Halloween is big at our place, wife keeps buying stuff, attic and garages full.

Be well,

From our wine tasting, can't really drink, the sips were almost too much for me.

One small area of decorations we put up early as our neighbor requested :)
They have 2 young ones who love it when the driveway has all the signs and stuff up.
Still many, many more items to put out, up etc. Some with projectors and 3d.

Good Morning!!!! 60F @ 5:15AM. Abundant sunshine. High 83F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.

One of my SoCal buddies had cataract surgery a couple months ago, Scotty. Before the procedure, they were uncertain if they would get the other eye done right away, or wait. But the improvement was so vast with the first eye, they're going back at the end of this month to have the other one done. That's pretty much the same story I've heard from other friends that have had cataract surgery, and chances are very good you'll have a great result, too. Best of luck!

Great pics of the fall color, folks. Thanks for sharing.

My friend and I got a good start on the wiring harness yesterday, labeling all the connectors, which should have been done by the fella that made the harness. Google played a lead role in figuring out what went where. Also found a couple of broken connectors that left us both wondering how they could have not been noticed by the maker. Damaged in transit? Next step is taking the old harness off, but that'll have to wait until after I return from down south. We finished my friends visit by loading a couple more motorcycles into the van, then I packed up a large bookcase full of old magazines and filled up the rest of the van.

Somewhere along the way I stopped and tried to make a phone call and learned that the land line is no longer working. AT&T said it was a problem with their lines, and will work on it tomorrow.

The call I was trying to make was to the manufacturer of the gate controller, which is also on the Frits. The tech talked me through several tests, then had me pull off a 12 pin connector to examine the wiring. Two or three of the leads had worked loose, so fixing that helped, but the charge controller for the solar panel and battery was still not regulating properly, and the radio isn't working, either. Just need the tech to provide a diagnostic to make sure, and get those parts on order.

Got an email from Amazon letting me know that a delivery driver had trouble getting to the house yesterday. Can't understand why, as the gate was wide open for my friend's visit, and there's a parcel box at the cul-de-sac to use, too. So I got Amazon to call me and arranged for a refund since I won't be here later in the week. Then after dinner I got another Amazon email telling me that the package had been delivered. Went up to the parcel box and sure enough, the Makita oscillating cutter I ordered was there. Now I don't know if the refund will go through or not, but probably another mess to straighten out.

Today I'll get a start on wiring in a trailer brake controller in the new van, and maybe install some anchors in the floor of the new trailer. It would be nice to get that trailer ready for this trip, but then I'd have to pack it and I'm not sure there's enough time left for that. We'll see.

I guess I grew up as a grumpy ol man, I never saw the sense in all of these so called "holiday" decorations.
I can see doing a bit for the 4th of July, maybe something for Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Then a bit for Christmas and Thanksgiving other then that it's a waste of time, money and resources that can be used in many other areas.

The kids love it, and it makes my wife happy.
We had a lot of bad happen to us, so any happy is a good thing.

landlady just left, she brought me fruit from local market and I sent her home
with green peppers. Gave her a ride on golf cart around neighborhood, she has another house nearby and we checked on that.

now waiting for lawn to dry out to mow. Bagger is on so wet grass just makes it heavy and hard to do.
weedeater lawn crew came through while I was downtown, splattered green grass over side of my freshly washed motorhome, a big no no.
I have to haul the hose around and squirt off tables and other stuff.

Taking a break from the muddy trench work. Got the 6 pieces glued up, need another set to clear the camper parking area. Amazing how wet the ground is after such a long dry spell. It’s red clay until I got past the shed, then it’s all nice dirt after that. Need to start backfilling with stone. Need to finish the 3rd conduit to the shed.
Got stung while in the tractor cab last night, thought I was swatting a stink bug and it was a wasp.

Has TBN print got smaller to make room for ads? Is there a way to make the print larger besides just zooming in?
I use a monitor instead of looking at my laptop screen. But, yes it seems to be harder to read. I haven't zoomed in yet but it would be easy to increase the type size by enlarging then you could push the ads over to the right into invisability. If TBN would make the font bolder it would help.

What ads? Install AdBlockerPlus and it'll take care of the ads for you...

You're right. Thats what I should do especially with this new windows laptop. But the font type becomming a little bolder could still help.
