My neighbor up in Vermont just sent me this photo of our barn on the hill ! Apparently there must be some gold in my barn somewhere, although I couldnt tell you where !

Good (Monday) evening. Overnight Low of 4.1C, High of around 16C and it's presently 13.2C, lightly overcast and calm.

A good day on the referendum 'booth'. I've always 'got along' with the bloke running the opposition to 'my side' (when it's a Federal election) and the same is holding true during this. The Voting Centre shuts down @ 1730 but it was so quiet that we shook-hands @1605 and both packed up.

I'll see him again tomorrow.

Coffee is brewing. 36° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 53 with clouds in afternoon. Yesterday was a good day with lots of sun. Watched NASCAR in afternoon. Got a full load of things that freeze and damaged in back of Mule. Will put all of it away for the winter today. Then start another load.

good morning, 42 going to 58 fall is here

Changed oil and filter on the van. Now I have 15 quarts in the drain pan that needs to be emptied out into the 55 gallon barrel that I can not lift because of the rotator cuff injury. May have to bail it out.

38F heading to a nice 66. Should see some more frost when it gets light. Yesterday was a bit windy, but great Fall weather. Crazy to hear about snow up north already.

M70, sorry about that rotator cuff...I know it limits your activity.

Drinking a smooth cup of coffee I roasted yesterday...Usually like to let fresh roasted coffee rest a day or more, but really wanted to try this one. Got a little string trimming and mowing done, but need to do more today, and finish work on chimney.

we could use some. That last system dissolved when it got here. Nothing due til next weekend.

I know it's dry because that water ditch on side of my property finally dries out enough I can fire up the Gravely and go cut
the two foot tall weeds. Last time I mowed it was still wet. Maybe today. Good excuse to exercise the Gravely. With the bagger on the
JD X390, sure don't want to suck all that stuff up and then have to dump it. Better to blow it back on neighbor....it's his grass anyway or almost all of it is.
I always make sure to not leave a mess. Absentee landlord next door, unoccupied home, allegedly bought to renovate/flip. Has sat for two years, just getting
lawn mowed. Sure seems strange to me. Can't beat the quiet though...
Neighbor mows lawn like a field, mows too low, takes off too much at once, so of course leaves trails everywhere, looks like a bush hog did it.
I keep my mouth shut...just happy he mows it.

since I don't have much planned for today, might go fly my drone to check out foliage. I think it's too early.
Or I may go try again on the rv bidet seat. Since I wasn't the one who put his hands back there the first time and was told this doesn't fit,
I think it's time I made really sure. So hard to squeeze myself in that small bathroom and then down on floor.
just don't bend so easily any more. Need to make sure the parts I bought will get the job done. I'm ready to start chopping off ends.
This is not rocket science, mostly problem is access. Have lots of experience with that working on similar water lines on boats.

Drew, while you are getting Bidet installed. Put a shutoff valve in for supply line to toilet. Toilet is weakest point in plumbing of RV’s. You can turn off water and still have water at other points in RV. Use a pan of water for toilet until it is fixed. I have Pex tool to put new fittings in.

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly…).

30.9 F going to upper 60s, mostly sunny,mchance of stray showers later. Second day of frosty morning fun! I guess I have to clean the chimney and prep the stove a bit sooner this year - HVAC running since last night.

unloaded most of the items brought back from PA trip. I was gifted with a radial arm saw, a table saw, and an drill press, all 50+ years old and in awesome condition, plus a bunch of other tools and several bins of Halloween decorations for Mrs.

today’s activities also include some administrative tasks in town, heading down to GA to pick up a couple sacks of cabbages for the chickens and then picking up a couple Powerball tickets because why not? And Mom has a couple jars that need to be opened…

After all that, if time permits, I will freshen up the wood-fired sauna for the season — it is that time of year again!

now for coffee and catch up on GM posts.

Put four eyebolts into a 2x2 sheet of boy wood, one in each corner, slide the pan onto it, four lines to an eye, lift it with a deadfall or the excavator.

Good morning! 50˚F heading to the mid 80s with a South breeze and no clouds.

My wife mowed the yard while I edged and trimmed in the perfect weather yesterday. Knee was a little aggravated last night but was finally able to fall asleep.

This week (Thur-Sun) is the Estate sale. I can offer just a little limping help. Already have two of the three trailer sold the 8' and the 16'. Hope the 10' sells this week along with the hundreds of other items.

Good morning, the low temp is 35 and going up to 41°F. Wind WSW 17 gusting to 25 mph. Light rain/snow. we might get the inch they are talking about, but it wont stay. Ground aint frozen.

Happy Thanksgiving Day for all that celebrate.

It was always a toss up whether my mother made my Halloween costume big enough to go over my snow suit or not.
