Funny thing is, with no real intention, I hardly drink anymore. I don't like having to pay the piper the next day. Maybe a beer once every few weeks....
I quit drinking absolutely on purpose, and that was the reason as well. I didn't realize I was hung over all the time until I wasn't hung over all the time. That was 27 years ago, and I don't miss that feeling at all. I did have a couple of drinks with my coworker while we were in Minneapolis earlier this week. Had a JD Honey and Coke before dinner, and nursed a Stella Artois after we got back to the hotel. Only got through about half of the beer, which is pretty normal for me these days. That was the most I've drank in many years.

The wind got up 10+ mph. I learned many years ago that you don't want to mess with a 30X40' tarp in the wind. Monday is another day for that.
I gotta go to North Bay on Sunday.
Instead of messing with the tarp we removed the hoe and rock bucket from the tractor and put the back blade and 'V' plow on. Also reorganized the outside storage area.
Today wasn't a total loss.

I just got to where I didn’t have time to drink.

Good (Sunday) early afternoon. Overnight Low of -0.1C and it's presently warmed up to 18C, cloudy with a breeze.

I'm back from Church and now, after doing a few chores, the rest of the day is His.

Knowing the TBN policy of no politics, I'll simply say that 'my side' of the referendum overwhelmingly won. Kyle wondered in an earlier post how we, as a country, wouldn't have to wait weeks for the result and the answer is that Australia has a single Electoral Commission. Each State/Territory have their 'own' Commission but they come under the authority of the national Commission. All elections, referendums and plebiscites are run the same way, including the scrutineering of the counting. It's all paper ballots, marked with a pencil or biro (pen).

Anyway, I'm fairly tired after a long week so I'll leave this at that. Thank goodness I'm retired so that I can have a long sleep-in tomorrow... and, yes, a couple of bottles of Pinot Noir have already been consumed in celebration.

That's about it, take care all. (Again, apologies for skipping pages of posts)

Good evening! A perfect day for the conclusion of the estate sale. I think we sold a little more than half. The estate sale now slips into online bidding and you will have to pick up the item at the house, no shipping so that limits it to locals. Items should start appearing online by tomorrow evening. My trailer did not sell so it will go in the auction with a reserve. Kyle was eyeing a flat bottom boat and a boat motor.

Yay!!! Been watching those races on another forum (which I think even mentioning the URL would get me banned here) and there has been much celebrating on the start of the turnaround down there. 😎👍

Dennis with Youtube Tv, Prime, AppleTV, we don’t miss Dish in the least. And less downtime.
I have a 2nd receiver at dad’s for him to watch. Only reason I haven’t cancelled.
When I started Dish it was 19.99 a month. Now $113.99 a month and going up next month. I bought and own my equipment. My HD receiver stopped working a couple yrs ago. So I’m only paying for dad to watch ESPN, the weather channel, and News. He does get OTA 3 channels.

If your Dad has internet shouldn’t be a problem. My neighbor and his brother in Ca share a Youtube TV account. 3 devices can be logged in same time I believe.

Coffee is brewing. 42° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 50° with cloudy skies. .81" of rain yesterday. Helped couple of neighbors with small projects. Never got anything done at my place. Will see how much I get done today.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
46 and clearing out, rain is done, 1.1 inches total, high of only 59 today

Mostly nice you can finally ride in cooler weather.
Don, good luck with rest of auction. That outboard motor hasn't been run in a while.
Being two stroke, might start right up.

have no plans for today, happy to conserve energy

I posted exactly when Ron did. Wow. I need to up my game and get better suet cakes.
Mine don't hold a candle to Ron's.

Paul thanks for info, with no O2 max of 10K for pilots, I thought that was airline max :)

There is a twisted web of rules. For airlines and charter, for cabin altitudes above 10,000, you are correct, O2 is required. I was referring to aircraft certification requirements rather than operational requirements.
And those certification requirements only apply to large airplanes.
Our turbo props have a maximum altitude of 41,000 feet, but have a cabin altitude of 10,000 that high.

To further muddy the waters, pilots not flying for hire can go to 14,000 for a half hour without O2, and can stay below 12,500 as long as they want.

And the last piece of the web is that passengers can have a cabin altitude of 15,0000 feet if there is enough O2 available to supply 10% of them.
Flying airplanes is easy, knowing the rules is another story…………

Morning all!
44 going to 56. Partly cloudy today with rain in the forecast for the next few days.
We are supposed to be in peak colors this weekend. Around here most of it is already covering the ground. Need the wind and wet to die down so I can get out there.
laptop died on me Friday..new one coming from BJ’s on Monday. Under 300 with free shipping! I remember when you couldn’t get ram for that cheap!
Nothing planned for today yet. might be a rest day. Time will tell.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

That is not a Suet Cake. It is a 2 lbs Seed Cake. Works good for the type feeder I am using. Menards has there own brand. Kaytee also makes them.
gourmet for sure
I already give them a ton of black oil sunflower seeds, recently consumption has gone down on my suet cakes.
maybe the blue jays are tired of rendered cows?

we have a really nice bird feeder/seed store not too far away.
I should ask them what works best locally.

my biggest problem with the birds is not my feed.
It's my neighbor's cat. Cat scares the birds away.
I need to go spray the area around the rv, where the cat likes to hide plus near the birdfeeders
with the peppermint oil spray I have
that has worked well in the past
interesting how such a natural ingredient repels both ants and cats

Don never saw an outboard like that!
We tried to ski behind it but it did not have enough power to pull us up out off the water. It is over 50 years old. The pull start is in the way so you can only see the last part of the name "ARS" but it is a SEARS Motor.

Good morning! 51˚F heading to only 69˚ with a N wind at 11-18mph, clear skies.
