Good morning!!!!

69°F and 0 rain

No plans for the day. Likely watch some football, but have no idea of who is playing. Not really following any particular team this year. Do like watching Tua and Purty that they do well. Everyone else pretty much hit and miss. And to be honest there is a couple on the other side, I maybe cheer a bit when they lose. Bad, I know. Someday I may get back to NE, but just doesn’t seem right yet and I only followed TB because of Brady.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Got back from a quick trip to Maine Saturday afternoon. It rained for the last 4 hours. There were 3 accidents that slowed us down some. Our contractor has started clearing the lot. We wanted to make sure that where he thought the house should go was where we thought it should go. The house site is a yellow birch and maple woods and we were afraid there wouldn't be much left but it isn't bad.

I got in 4 hours collecting rocks while my wife went to look at appliances. I was glad for a hot shower and a soft bed.
I built a 4'x4' temporary shed for the boat equipment 4 years ago. It is starting to leak where I over tightened the large head scews that hold the zip panels on. The guy at the hardware store sold me a jar of Through the roof. It is a clear gel that you paint on. If it wasn't for the cost it would be a red necks dream. I painted all the screw heads. Fingers crossed.
Everything is battened down and ready for winter. Fingers crossed again.

My sister got bit by covid again. Sounds like she was sicker the second time. She slept for 3 days but is feeling better now. At least she got a couple of days off work.

The grass here is still growing like crazy so I guess you know what I will be doing Monday.

Stay well.

Chris

Change of plans… weather is rather blustery, we just finished unloading and stacking the most recent load of firewood and Mrs has ZERO interest in operating the splitter today, so we are going to take the dog for her walk, I may take five minutes to drill the bench top for bolts and mount the vise I got from my uncle, then come home and hit the hot tub and figger out dinner.

Onward!!!!

Good morning. A slightly rainy day today, so I won’t be doing much outside.

Did get the docks disconnected and floated over to the swim dock for the winter, which is a big accomplishment and takes a lot off of my mind.

Some fall leaf photos for those Texans wanting.

Docks done and all ready for winter:

And a real nice sunset with the hound dog last night down on the fixed dock. There were also four ducks tooling around, and he was barking at them like crazy!
Check, hope dock doesn’t float away again. Nice pics.

Nice Autumn day out...61. We got almost an inch of rain here yesterday. Looks like my chimney work held up well.

Very pretty, check.

Ken, sorry you're still having problems.

Scott, glad the staples came out easy...now ready for the beach. Always amazing to me that humans can staple themselves.

BEF, when are you going on the train ride?

Don, congrats on the sale.

Kil, $3,000 is pretty good.

Just got back in from a 3-day trip to see baby granddaughter/son/DIL, and then lots of class reunion activities. Was fun. Everyone looks the same. 🤞

51F, wet, and cloudy @ 16:45, heading down to around 45F for tonight's low. 0.02" of accumulation since midnight, 1.56" total yesterday. Sun trying to come out.

Current soil temp 53F, 24 hour average 50.2F.

Some improvement in the Ten Day with one more day added with a 60F high and less rain in the forecast.

Reviewed a variety of well logs in the immediate area (within a 1/4 mile) last night, typical depth ranged from around 100' to 140', couple of newer (within the last 10 - 20 years) around 200' deep.

Spent the day watching the Browns / 49'ers game. Quite the upset. Was a good game ... not strictly because the Browns ended up winning ... but because it appeared to be a real contest.

Heading down into the basement to continue on with the softener here in a few.

Leaves be turning:

Hope everyone is having a decent Sunday ... (y)

As promised, the price I paid for fuel today was $1.439/Litre ($5.439/Us Gallon in Canadian dollars.
Trip was uneventful other than the rain both ways, but in town it was dry.
Those prices I really got no need to complain.

Good (Monday) morning. Overnight Low of 3.3C and it's presently 17.1C, mostly sunny with an increasing breeze.

Very good night's sleep with a wee bit of a 'sleep in'. Today is definitely a dhobi day (catching up on all of last week) and I'll need to make a run into town to collect a couple of parcel deliveries at the Post Office that arrived last week.

Sometime this week (tomorrow?) I'll need to take care of, yet another, wattle tree branch that came down during Saturday's wind. Fortunately this one is easily accessed.

That's about it, take care all.

Tomorrow will bring him another beautiful girl. He's a player off the field too.

Billy, all my class mates look the same.....old!

Don, East Alton is just up the road a bit from where I grew up, and not too far from where we live now. That company goes by Olin Corp these days, and still makes Winchester shotshells and rimfire there, I believe. My Father grew up in East Alton in the '30s and '40s, and worked at the shotshell factory part time as a summer job.
