Plans for today...4 hours parts store afterward couple stops in town for Mrs.,afternoon if nothing pending visit bear rehab center I have FULL pickup load apples acorn to donate.

Finally got the wheel off. Had to heat and beat it 4 times. Once it finally moved a 1/4", I ended up having to heat it and beat it back on the shaft, because I had mushroomed the end of the shaft. Some die grinding fixed that, another heating and I banged it off with the pneumatic air hammer, similar to what m7040 posted earlier.

Now I can take apart the tranny.

31 outside this AM. Hope to have an OK day.

These last six (6) Decembers have taken a toll on my family.

A few weeks ago we lost a family friend in an aircraft accident.

A few days ago, my father passed.

Yet more friends to Arlington, now my father too. This AM I will make a road trip to start the interment process for my Dad. I find comfort in knowing he served his nation proudly and will be amongst his friends.

Good morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

34.4F going maybe into 40s, grey day forecasted.

Excursion to BassPro was successful, new camp, new arrows, new bolts, several odds-n-ends accessories—- I can now go hunting without looking like a giant traffic cone (since all my outerwear from NJ was orange)! We also went to Yders Deli up by Bristol Motor Speedway, which is not-quite-Amish but has lots of hard-to-find food items for good prices. Finished off the excursion with the pilgrimage to Buc-Ed’s, where -among other things - we treated Mrs’ Subaru to a fill-up of ethanol-free for $2.999/gal. This morning, Harry gets picked up, mom gets dropped off, herbs for New Years Day roast marinade get bought and work brings on that and Brussels Sprouts. Rest of day will be house puttering.

Good morning, the low and high are both 32°F. Wind N 8 mph. 40% periods of drizzle.
Winter is back, we got 1/4" of snow since yesterday, but at least it is snow, not rain.

I know what I am doing today......nothing.

A few days ago, my father passed.

Mike, prayers to you and your family on your fathers passing ! At some point you might think about putting a plaque together in remembrance of your fathers service to our country ! I put one together for my Pop and hung it our living room wall along with the flag that was presented to us from the Navy !

Maybe a little puttering out in the wood shop today ! It is amazing how much garbage 10 people can create ! Dump run tomorrow !
