Coffee is brewing. 40° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 71° with sunshine and a few clouds. .27" of rain yesterday. Did get out and do some more pond cleanup before I spent rest of the day in house. Hope to get grass mowed in afternoon.
Enjoy MOTHERS DAY.

52 going to 71. Got several showers yesterday...foggy this morning.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms of the TBN family.

L4N, sorry to hear about your health episode. I hope you went to the hospital and will be okay. Prayers said.

Prayers for Thomas and Buppies.

Nice rainbow, Bupps.

Yesterday was more puppy training and play, but did manage to get an hour of mowing accomplished and a few small chores.

Happy Mothers Day to all moms.
50 and drizzly now, looks like rain clearing out later

I hope Bill is waking up in hospital in telemetry where he belongs. And that whatever took him down
fades away. Prayers for our friend.

I had a great sleep last night and feel good this morning.

Good morning! 65˚ a few rain drops this morning .01" and 50% all day, E wind heading to the mid 70s.

Just mowed the yard on Friday and it needs it again, but today looks like a wet grass day so mowing will probably be out. We are at a hold on the packing till closing. According to my wife there are certain stages of cleaning and house make-ready. We are at the "company" stage and apparently getting the house ready for "buyer" stage is a hole level up and cannot be achieved till we move some boxes to the other house after closing.

First year no Mothers to celebrate the day.
Hope L4N is doing OK.
Cute puppy pics Wngsprd, made me smile.

there seems to be an adequate supply of tin foil hats on Amazon.
most of them are used in lady's beauty salons for some process. 85 cents apiece in dozen quantity for your own tin foil hat.
hand them out to your friends.

But this one looked a little better. Frankly, I think a Stetson made out of aluminum foil
would be just the ticket. I bet someone has chromed a Stetson at some point.
but that's too heavy and fancy. To be a genuine fruitcake, you need to use the aluminum foil.

just never know when the flare will get you...
UV level for today is four out of ten.
Apparently this stuff is not harmful.

better get one for your dog too.
it's important to match

Happy Mother’s Day snagglepuss.

Grass will need mowed again. I bet tall at the VA lot.
Dads is tall. The guy hasn’t been around to cut it.

Good Morning
46°, might make it to 50 today. Overcast and grey with chance of rain, we got less than 1/4” overnight.

Yesterday started by making French Toast for daughter and myself, then puttering around in the shop for a while.
Cleaned up the horizontal bandsaw, got lots of little cutoffs and metal chips weighting the trash can now.

Went to see
guys I was coaching on Friday perform, they pulled it together and did a great job, I was very pleasantly surprised and pleased that they took my advice to heart. I did help set up their PA and set up their mix at the show.

When I got home, youngest son and his wife were there preparing an early Mother’s Day dinner for my wife. Had a nice dinner and called it a day.

Not sure what’s on tap for today. If it clears up some, might take the little plane somewhere for lunch. Need to do a little Fusion 360 time, I’m getting it figured out, but don’t want to forget what I’ve learned as I add new stuff.

I had to laugh when I saw this as an ad on this page;

On a forum that constantly touts no politics and has this for a popup ad :)

Morning all, 49 going to 55 and rain.
Got the oil change, fuel filter and air filter all changed out on the tractor.
No issues, all went as expected.
Then took the dog to peddlars village to socialize. She got mobbed with kids.

My father moved to San Diego right after my son was born. My In laws were around though, but older and could not really handle taking care of my young son. We raised him on our own with little family help. Probably a good thing with my fathers GF not really being a people or dog person.

Happy Mothers Day, it's been 21 years since my mother passed.

L4N - go see a Dr. might be a stroke and PT can help. Prayers this is only temporary.

Waiting for son to get up to get flowers for the wife. waiting, waiting

Be well,

I'm praying we hear from Bill. Hoping he got to medical care.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms. We have plenty of them here albeit in the background. My mom is 94. We took her out to eat on Friday. She wanted TexMex at a new place. My wife and I didn't care for it because they slathered the chicken fajitas in bell peppers. We both don't like bell peppers. We picked the chicken out, and "tolerated" it for my mom. Mom got a beef enchilada and a crispy beef taco. Hers looked good. We should have took her cue.

Our church has service from 9-10am. But, my wifey last night said she wants to go to our friend's church (he pastors a church about 20 minutes away). They start at 10:30 and go until noon. So any opportunity to get to a restaurant early before the crowd gets there is toast. Wifey said "I'm fine with Whataburger." I told her "That's another reason why I love you." Easy peasy.

When we were down in my hometown, we went out in the country to visit my friend and see his new home being constructed. It is about 80% done. Needs cabinets, trim, electrical and plumbing finishing, and flooring. He took money out of his 401 K to build it. When he took out the money, his balance was on the way down, and many of his friends said he might as well "take out the money and enjoy it everyday in your life now". It looks nice, with cut limestone from TxDon's area for exterior, and a black comp roof. Big patios around 70% of the house.

I'm watching the radar now, it looks like the impending storms will go north of us, probably brushing Don and Caren. (Don, is your wife's name spelled with a C? )

Don, sounds like y'all are "on a mission" to get going. I hope the closing goes smoothly. No unexpected hurdles.

There is a new season of Clarkson Farms. It starts off with the worst drought in 80 years, and then tells of the bureaucracy of the local town forcing him to shutdown ALL his restaurant, remove everything including the parking lot gravel, and turn it back into a field. Wow. So much for freedom and pursuing happiness over there. Clarkson is trying new things and the escapades entail.

I wonder how Eric the sheep shepherd is doing in Shropshire?

RNG, so how much more do you have to move and fix up north before you list your place up there?

My 14yo son has a "friend who's a girl" now. He's doing things I haven't seen him do before. Like taking showers with out having to yell at him to "GO TAKE A SHOWER"! He's got acne and is trying to stay clean to help reduce it.

Popgadget, what kind of music did they play?

Time to get ready for church. Prayers for our team.

53F and mostly cloudy @ 10:00 but the Sun is occasionally peeking through. Clearing later and heading up around 67F for the day's high.

LWS says we got another 1.17" of rain yesterday but based on what it actually did here at the house that sounds low.

Radar indicated tornado one county east when the storms came through yesterday, could have been from the storm that dumped on us.

Took the day off yesterday and kept the couch from floating away.

Not sure what all The Woman might have on Her agenda for the day but I'm thinking today might be a good day to start the full clean up/clean out on the strawberry patch and get the hoops installed and the netting put on since we have two days of nice weather.

Beyond that there is no shortage of other stuff to do ... and I'm sure I'll get to at least some of it.

Hope everyone is having a great Mother's Day ... especially the Moms ... (y)

Good morning! Low was 31.6° ! Can't believe it dropped so low. Hopefully didn't cause any damage to the outdoor plants. There are peaches, black cherries, and apples forming.... that's my concern.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the moms out there.

Hope LFN is ok. Scary stuff.

We did get a couple passing showers, total of .20". Areas close by got over an inch. Wish we did.... The winds weren't too bad, highest gust was 34 mph.

Windier today as the storm moves away. Might get outside to do a few little things if not too gusty. Might try for some playtime in the shop....

Everyone have a great day!
