Good evening all. 70ºF for the start, mostly clear sky, light breeze. Moderate wind in afternoon, Sky mostly clear, and high temp was 89ºF, HI 95ºF. Made coffee to start day, chapel setup, attend chapel and chapel tear down, breakfast with group. Got boat ready for early launch in morning, Fish survey start at 8AM. Got windshield and dash cleaned up and leaves out of boat, batteries charged up, have one going bad. Trailer on truck, just need to make cooler and remove cover.
David good news on the Scag, sounds more like fuel now. Sounds like your Craftsman fix should work. Good luck with the repair.
Ron hope you were able to work around rain. Nice progress yesterday. Pretty cardinals.
Billy sorry about rain. Glad Della making progress on commands and obstacle course. Neat bear pics, yes I'd be nervous too.

Coffee is cooling in cup. 57° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 85° with possible thunderstorms in afternoon. Got 6 more bags of mulch from Menards. Set them in areas to be spread. Never got them spread. Washed car Did visit 3 different neighbors enjoy the warm spring weather. By the time I got done visiting it was to warm to work in the sun. Spent rest of the day on my porch enjoying the warm weather. Today plan to move last of the chip pile to neighbors gardens. By the time that is done it will be to warm again. More time will be spent with fan on back porch.

Popgadget sent me some recordings of his band playing, with straight cut recordings, no compression, and
boy did that sound good on my stereo. Their version of Miss You by the Stones was first class, and wonderful
to listen to. I cranked it up and they were playing right here, right in front of me as I bounced along in my chair.
Marvelous.

Bill, I've had three wives, don't have to prove anything there, but no one should be rubbing anything in anyone's face
for anything.
For 21 years that parade has been part of my home town's culture. I'm just reporting, not espousing life styles.
But since I've lived here most of my life, I am pretty experienced with this.
99 percent of folks who chose a different companion or fall in love differently than we do, they just want to be left alone.
but the media shows you the pics of the colorful parts, of course that's how they sell their product.

Folks find love in their own way. The majority may think they are "looking for love in all the wrong places" but I sure would rather have
some love than no love.

57 outside this AM. Heavy fog in the area. Cannot see the cats. LOL. Not raining, so it is good.

Should get to upper 70's today. When it dries out, the mowers come out.

Managed to get the shower pan framed and dry packed yesterday. I thought I hated dry wall work, working with 500 pounds of mortar mix is worse. Dang, heavy lifting and small areas to work in. Today, or rather tonight maybe tomorrow, LOL, will lay the tile in the pan.

And....those are not my cats, I don't like cats. That's what happens when the kids leave the house. Their pets....seem to stay.

Headed to a sunny 70F today.

Finished the pasture irrigation repairs. Then spent 3 hours shoveling silt out of our water ditch-- yikes that is a young man's game. Which is not me. Standing in the ditch was like quicksand-- rubber boots sink in, you are stuck, and cannot move. Nor get out. To get a boot free, I'd bend down and pull with both hands while also using all my leg strength. Then it would it slowly come free. I felt like a cowboy from an old western movie slowly sinking in. Spent about half the day on that and .... glad it is done!

We visited the pups this weekend. We get one of the males, but not for another month. They are about 4 weeks old now. Below is a pix of 2 of the males from the litter.

Good morning! Another 90s day. 69˚F now with S winds, Summer is here.

Busy day the sove top people will repair the stove today and the floor people will do the floors before we move furniture into the new house. We also have to get the old house pristine for the realtor showing tomorrow which includes a lawn mowing in the heat.

Had air fried French fries last night with the freshly harvested potatoes, they were really good even without oil or salt.

Ct, 54 to start going to 74 ! Clouds breaking later for some sun ! Each day getting progressively hotter, and on Wednesday possibly 90 !
Guess I better get back to work on the pool !

We are leaving for Vermont on Thursday afternoon, grand kids coming up on Friday! Hope the weather cooperates so the kids can get plenty of outside time !

Good Morning,
55° and foggy now, high in the upper 70’s after it burns off, with no chance of rain. This was from Saturday afternoon-

Yesterday started off slow, wife at farmers market, leaving me to take care of daughter, Zoe and the dogs. Helped oldest son with some electrical work, he had a 20’ light pole that was damaged so he cut it down and we pulled the base out of the ground. He put a PT 4x4 in its place with just a junction box and an outlet. But after he disconnected all the old wiring, he couldn’t remember how it was connected, it was all 120v, but was actually a 240v feed to two circuits using a common neutral.

After lunch, it dried up enough to mow, and mow I did. Used both the Progressive and the “little” 90” Landpride behind the tractor as well as the Lazer, and got nearly everything mowed.

Here’s my helper blowing off the rear deck on the Progressive mower.

Today should be fun. The contractors are coming shortly to dig and form the footings for the old folks home.
I did mark the utilities that they have to trench across (in two places) and noted the depth. Hopefully they will find them gracefully. There are two conduits, a water line, a pressure sewer line and a direct burial phone line, all in the same trench.
Later this morning, after they are started, I’ve got to take my wife to get a shot in her hip, then cook lunch for the contractors out on the grill.

Here’s a link to the recordings that I sent Drew from last Friday night. I just let the recorder run through the entire practice / jam, it’s not a real recording session, but I thought that he would like some unprocessed audio to challenge his speaker setup.

Morning all, 55 going to 78 and foggy.
Got the pool area cleaned up and then opened the pool.
Still need to get the cover folded and the diving board installed.
Yellow jacket built a nest under the cement, so will need to take care of that since it is right where I need to work and by the bar!

New neighbor has marked out the driveway, but still don't see any equipment showing up.

Today need to get the cover folded and stowed and some more work with weed whacker and need more salt for the pool and .....

First figs coming in, will need to trim back the fig tree this winter as it is now so big is covers the bedroom windows.

They are still repairing the water wheel at peddlers village. Dog got to meet quite a few other dogs and kids.

Most of this morning has been puppy training and coffee pourover making...but it gets cold before I can drink it. Looks like the phoebes are trying to get their babies to fledge today, so walking the long way around the shelter. The other young bluebirds and mockingbirds seemed to have survived and are thriving.

Rip, I'm behind on mowing, so if it dries, I'll be out there this afternoon, like you.

Ken, I bet that choral concert you posted the other day was great.

Ordered a puppy harness for leash training yesterday afternoon, and it was delivered this morning at 8am. I could get spoiled this way.
