Plan on only splitting wood couple hours yesterday afternoon,ending splitting the pile finish half before dark...whew.

Plans for today...trim ditches front field and under spruces before temp reaches low 80's,afternoon planning on nap watch some NASACR grilling.

another hot day, mid 90's and sun

recent events certainly prove the importance of more folks working in mental health field
might not be a hard line to cross for a well trained deer hunter to think he was just going after different prey.
well, shooter's aim will now be permanently off.

so many folks justify violence due to a perceived threat to themselves, a threat that in fact rarely exists in reality.
But for a paranoid troubled mind, I wonder if picking up that gun is some kind of defense mechanism, in a backwards twisted way.
doesn't seem to matter what side you are on or what your belief is, it's thinking that gunning someone down will be a good thing.
But then, isn't that what we learn in war?
and crazy folks usually think they are at war with somebody, something, something they need to get before it gets them

when does defense become offense? an important question for the mentally unstable.

RS, yes on sticking with proven facts. This thread is not for political conjecture, just upsets folks and we know better.

Good morning,
67° now highs in the low 90’s and sunny today. Winds W around 5 mph dew point 65°. We did get some rain yesterday 0.02” that gets us up to 0.13” this month so far. This is what next week has in store.


Fairly productive day yesterday, got the front mowed and some more weeding done. Wound up doing 2 trips to the dump yesterday, the regular trash and recycle stuff and the neighbor stopped by with a load of metal and asked if I had anything to add, yep sure do. Went with him to help unload, we both suffer from to good to throw away syndrome!

Hope to finish mowing this afternoon when the back yard is in the shade. Out to water in a bit and pick some cherry tomatoes and have another coffee.
Drew, they are getting there, the larger tomatoes are getting ripe.

More string trimming yesterday and watering. May start to mow the large field today. Will see what wife is up to. she may have other plans

Have a kid in hospital now for several weeks. She needs heart surgery but is not able to due to an infection

Good Morning
It’s 78° with 87% humidity, sunny with highs in the 90’s for today. Chance of thunderstorms late in the day.
Another day to find shade or stay inside.

Yesterday I got the intake and exhaust venting run to the boiler, looked at shower fixtures with my wife, cleaned up and organized supplies, and sat by the pool in the shade.

I setup the mixer that we will be using on Saturday when we play at the nearby fair. We use in-ear monitors when we play out, it’s a different set up than what is in my studio space, so I like to set it up and make sure everything is set up so I don’t end up wishing I had hair to tear out at the the gig.

The boys are coming at 10 this morning for a rehearsal and to partially pack up.

After that, I’ll probably try to get something done on the old folks home. If it’s not to hot, maybe level and stone the area and set the condenser pad for the heat pump.

Took Della for a hike at the park and we met a beautiful chocolate Lab...talked with the owner for 15 minutes...dogs have that effect on people.

Rigby is settling into a pattern. Out at 4am to conduct a few "transactions." Then back into his pen until daylight. Then out for the day. Works well since I am up at 4 anyway. My wife gets a couple extra hours of sleep.

Forecast for 90F with thunderstorms and Red Flag fire danger here today with wind.

Prayers today for the country, the person killed yesterday, and those injured.

Ok can I play dumb for a minute, is mouse milk sold under that name ? Or is that a name that is used for another product ! Of course I am a Marvel Mystery Oil guy , but willing to try other products!

D came back for one day and flew out this morning to San Diego. Checking weather in San Diego for the week it is 60's at night and 70's during day. Hope she can find time during the week to enjoy that. I used to fly into San Diego a lot when I had a project south of the border. Always wanted to spend more time there

Good morning! Low of 55°, heading towards 95°. Slight chance of a thunderstorm. Better chances occur midweek.... we'll see. Haven't had any rain from the 'close' storms this week, getting really dry. Drip irrigation running already this morning.

Fritz, hope your child can get ahead of the infection and the surgery is successful.

Ken, table looks great! I am assuming the legs were purchased? The crepe myrtle is beautiful. We tried twice to grow them here.... summertime they do ok, just won't survive the winter.

Drew, were you and Ken able to install the A/C insert? We have one and the son has one in our units. Definitely makes a difference in air flow!

Kyle, I wish I was closer and could get some of those tools. I'm sure they are a bargain. I've been following auctions up here for years.... usually a bunch of junk selling for way more than worth. I really believe the auctions are rigged to go high $.

Couldn't get to sleep Friday night, tossed and turned, only about 3 hours of sleep. I was dragging, then started feeling 'blah'.... yesterday was not good.... coughing, sneezing, tons of mucus, GI issues, malaise..... laid around all day.
So far this morning feeling ok....

Must be something in the dirt here that doesn't agree with me. Seems that anytime that I play in the dirt, I get sick. I know there is higher amounts of anthrax in the soil here.... I wonder if that's it?
