Kitchen exhaust is one thing I forgot when I built, so ended up putting in a ventless range hood, with a charcoal filter. We rarely even use it, have never had an issue with stove smells.

Couple of quick things regarding spam calls:

1. I set my iPhone to ring only if the caller is in my Contacts list. That makes a huge difference since unknown numbers no longer ring. 98% of spammers do not leave messages.

2. If you really want to get nasty, here is a trick. Get a whistle-- a loud one like sporting events. Answer the spam call, act interested but slowly start talking more and more softly getting down to almost a whisper. On the other end, the $#@^#W^ spammer is dialing up the volume on their headset. Then blow the whistle and hang up.

Probably shouldn't write that but ... oh well. Maybe they need hazard pay!
OH YEAH! Gonna try this with the next one!

The truck wreck on 30, I was a dozen or so cars back but looked like it was going West and then crossed over the East bound lanes and hit the embankment along the East bound side. Blocking all lanes in the process. Maybe another car was involved but did not see that from this far back.

I forgot to post this morning? Then recalled that I didn't even log on! ......

Low was 61°, so far the high only went to 86°, down to 82° now. Clouds all around, but no rain yet. Hopefully we will get a least a little.

Good time for a few hours sitting on the porch with the BIL. Good discussions, quality time.
Wifey made homemade meatloaf w/ bacon and hash brown casserole. Mmmmm...it was delicious!

Phil, as usual, beautiful turnings!

Drew, hope all the batteries can get water.... strange that it didn't fill the end ones. I'm curious now.....

Don, hopefully the heat won't get too bad and you get the transplanting done without too much struggle.

David, hoping that Sophie's surgery is very successful!

RNG, success with the firewood! Woohoo!
Have fun on the camping trip.

Paul, nice progress on the 'old folks addition'. Going to be really nice for sure!

Buppies, try to stay cool and hydrated. Only a couple days left......

LFN, good luck with the lotto..... I splurged earlier this week on a couple tickets.... I got one number on one, none on the other. Not in my cards......

Taking the BIL to the airport tomorrow morning, so probably won't post until afternoon.

Everyone have a great evening!

We got back from North Bay at about 2:30 P.M. The cops were out in droves. One trap had 4 chase cars and all but one were busy.
The driver that took us had an early morning haul to do first, then he came back and took us. This guy is an ex cop and at least he didn't run any red lights like the last one did.

We had BLT sandwiches with some potato salad with miracle whip on both. I like miracle whip better than mayonnaise. Some say that they are the same thing, but I am here to tell you that I can tell the difference and miracle whip is sweeter.

We keep getting threatened with rain, but so far, none.

We couldn't get the garden hose we wanted at dollar store, so Amazon here I come.

That bigger grader is almost too big for most driveways. The little Galion would do a much better job. it just wont cut as deep for the potholes. No weight, not like the big one.
Back when I plowed snow for the City of Toronto, I preferred a grader, until one night they put me on a sidewalk plow. Then the fun began. 450 John Deere dozer (6 way blade) with worn out grousers. Side curtains down the sides to keep your legs warm and big heavy winter coveralls, balaclava and a brain bucket with winter gloves and plow away. Always after midnight.
