good morning all
beautiful picture Ron

up too early

feeling rather chilly at 71 in Mayer AZ...
off early this morning, longest drive of this trip, with several stops.
I want to stop at Montezuma's Castle, about half an hour North from here.
Then I was going to swing off main road and head to Sedona and the grocery store there. But....I looked at the route, no less than seven circles/turnarounds on the way.
I hate turnarounds in the rv, never enough room so....I think due to the long day I'm going to skip Sedona and head straight to the next stop. I can stop at the grocery store Ted mentioned Sunday morning on the way in to Edgewood NM. I have plenty of food til then.

next stop is only an hour and a half West of Ted, who is East of Albuquerque. But to get there I have a long trip North and then East on 40. Very happy to get out of the desert

You might want to check out the Gold King Mine in Jerome if you are in the neighborhood. It was always one of my favorite places to visit, but I haven’t been there since Don Robertson passed away. He was quite the character and collector.

good morning, 70 going to 80 rained overnight but no rain in Fc today

Tires ride nice and smooth Michelin LTX A/T2. Good experience with Discount tire shop and very professional. Stayed in van and pulled in and 30 mins later backed out. Will definitely use them again.

Kitchen door is binding so will work on that today. Must be all that moisture in the air

You going to send Drew up and down the switchbacks getting to Jerome?

I could generally do fine in roundabouts with 65 long train of motorhome, van and trailer. Problem was in doing uturns heading down dead end streets since backing up more then a foot or so would cross the front tires on the van causing me to have to unhook and start over

Good morning! Low of 50°, heading to 80°. Sunny.
The guessers have now increased our highs for the next week back up to around the 80 mark. Many records will be reset this week. Normal temps should be around 70° for this time of year.

Today is vehicle maintenance day. Need to get the car oil changed for sure, overdue by 500 miles. The truck is just approaching the interval. Probably wait until after the excursion up to Santa Fe with Drew. I'll replace the wipers and get fluids topped off while I'm at it.

Then some landscape maintenance. Touch up the mulch, pick up sticks, etc... Tomorrow is drip irrigation day, now on the abbreviated fall schedule. I'll definitely be looking for more aphids.

Need to ask the son for some assistance....
Found another big branch that was broken last week. One of the trees in the back. Couldn't see it until the leaves dried because it was in the center of the tree. No ladders for me with the bad knee.

While the dreaded ladder is out, should probably replace the sensor on the dawn to dusk light on the peak of the house. It's been wonky turning on / off during the day in bright sunshine. Now it's doing the same at night.....
The replacement sensor was delivered last week.

Hope the flooding back east recedes quickly. Unbelievable amounts of rain in too short of time. Sad that so many people got killed and the damage left behind.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Morning all, 67 going to 69 and cloudy, light rain.
Almost 1/2" in three days of rain. Ground is finally getting moist.

Panic last night, Dads GF calls my uncle, says dad is dying and then hangs up, we try to call but no one picks up.
Call emergency services to do a wellness check. Talk about not fun evenings.
So around midnight my nephew gets in touch with hospital, my dad had chest pains. Doing tests but it seems he is in same state as he was and will be going home again today.

Drew - Sedona has big trucks, so doubt your RV would be an issue. Sedona is one of the few places I try to go through every time I am in the area. This time of year should be less crowded too with schools in session.
Last time we did stop by the mine again Paul and it was still ope, another older gentleman was running it. Hopefully it's still going. I think he had one of the hit/miss mill engines working last time I was there.
Character :)

I always love the switchbacks, then again I learned to drive in the northwestern mountains of Massachusetts. Not much straight road there unless on route 2, and then theirs even a hairpin turn there.

Be well,

Sixty nine°F and . Forty four inches rain.

Hoping to get back mowing, but needs to dry. Oh well.

Do need to putter about my hydroponics a bit. I did get air pump installed and a few seedlings moved to the pipes. Need to try starting more seeds but apparently my seeds aren’t that good.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
